CHAIRMAN SPEAKS
The English writer John Heywood's proverb is refuted by the legends of SVES in
aiding their students. SVES's offspring, BVRITH is a place of varied cultures,
mindsets, and backgrounds. Inspite of that, BVRITH under the aegis of SVES,
succeeded in placing its students in reputed companies like Capgemini, Virtusa,
Tech Mahindra, Kony labs, CSC, Pramati Technologies, NTT Data, UX Reactor,
PEGA Systems, Umberto Ceramics International Pvt. Ltd. (list is going to be
extended as many more companies are on their way to BVRITH)
On this remarkable feat, Dr KVN Sunitha, Founder Principal said, In the journey of
excellence as I glance back at the year 2012, I realize that it's been a fascinating
collaboration which helped us move continuously on the path of progress. The
culture that we built for the institution, and the hard work as well as perseverance
of the team is evident today as we enjoy the fruits. It's truly a pleasure to reach
the target of 120 placement offers out of 229 students, whereas eligible number is
186. Thanks to the Placement team who worked round the clock to make students
get good placements and packages to the tune of 7.5 lakh, 7.13 lakh, 6.3 lakh etc.
According to Mr.Jagapathi Reddy, Placement Manager at BVRIT-H, SVES brand,
Guidance of Core Placement Team , determined efforts of BVRITH Placement
Team, HODs & Faculty under the leadership of Principal and the hard work of
Students yielded the results. Student Internship and mentorship programs in
companies like Microsoft, Virtusa, ADP, and PEGA Systems also helped in
exposing the students to real time work environment and being placed in top
companies.
The future of the country depends on these young engineers and we have
strengthened the wings of our Women Technocrats to soar high into the Sky of
Technical Excellence, Research and Innovation!
Addressing the group of faculty members who joined BVRIT N during the academic year 2015-16, Hon'ble Chairman
Sri K.V.Vishnu Raju garu, SVES, recalled the ideals that Sri Vishnu Educational Society and his grandfather
Padmabhushan Dr B.V.Raju stood for. According to him, “Founder Chairman of SVES believed that education has
transformed him both educationally and socially. He believed from his experience that education can transform the
society and more so in transforming and empowering women”. Having studied in reputed Institutions like Banaras
Hindu University & Harvard, Padmabhushan Dr B.V.Raju visualized that the temples of learning he started should
be on par with IITs and NITs. To convert this dream into reality all Institutions of SVES covered the entire spectrum
of Engineering and Technology with residential facilities paving way for active interaction between the teachers
and the taught both inside & outside the class room. Recalling his intermediate days, Chairman narrated how his
mathematics teacher at Little Flower Junior College, Prof.M.N.Reddy has mentored his classmates by teaching the
concepts outside the gamut of syllabus. This methodology has converted the rigor of cracking a seat in NIT into a
cake walk. Because of Prof.Reddy, 45 out of 53 students have become Engineers from IITs and NITs. Stressing the
importance of teaching, a profession considered noble on par with Medicine, he recounted how patients with
chronic diseases felt solace after undergoing treatment from his Doctor father. He exhorted the faculty members to
teach with passion and gain confidence from student community. In the changed scenario, from teacher centric
teaching to student centric teaching, staff members were requested to treat students as customers and strive for
customer satisfaction. He narrated from his experience as student at NIT, how Prof. Krishnamurthy has converted a
dull and dozing class in the afternoon session into active state by motivating students to visit library and refer
Scientific American magazine. As most of the faculty members teach 3 hours a day, he advised them to spend
productive time in library and hone the skills and sharpen the tools. He was also of the opinion that a lot of teaching
and productive work can happen in laboratories by coordinating with Industry and Research centers.
He explained how French Physicists developed testing tools to motivate students towards critical thinking i.e PISA
sponsored by OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). In the PISA test conducted, Finland
stood first in the world and India stood 79th. He attributed the success of Finland to the policy makers focused
attention and vision towards teaching. The spinoffs are visible in the form of Nokia and several other companies.
Highlighting the achievements of BVRITN, he thanked the team comprising of VC, Deans, Principal and Staff. He
appreciated the institute for getting above 500 genuine placements. He highlighted the BVRIT team's preparedness
in tackling inspections (four in number) from JNTUH fact finding committees. About the future plans of SVES, he
advised the team comprising of 1500 faculty members to create a roadmap towards excellence in teaching and
mentoring the students towards global standards. He advised the team to train the teacher in
teaching methodologies, content development, academic planning, Industry -Institution
linkage with continuous mentoring by experts in the field. In his concluding remarks, he
lauded the team in getting 4th rank among top Engineering colleges of JNTUH and 7th in
Telangana when Osmania University is included.
May BVRITH continue its efforts towards higher and nobler ideals and play its role
in the progress of our nation!

CIVIL SERVICES – TOPPER 2015
Ms.T.Lakshmi Bhavya is a 2012 passed out of Electronics and
Communication Engineering student of Shri Vishnu Engineering
College for Women. She is from the rural background. She
proved to be a good student in her academics. She was selected
for TCS, a Multi National Company, in her final year of engineering.
She even got a chance of going abroad to pursue her M.S. but she
did not show any interest in that. Her only ambition was to
become a civil servant by getting through CIVIL SERVICE
examination. With strong determination and persistent efforts she
was able to get 88th RANK in her recent Union Public Service
Commission ( UPSC) examination in her second attempt.

SPORTING SUPERSTAR
Bonda Vaishnavi , a final year student at Shri Vishnu Engineering College for
Women, got selected for International Billiards & Snooker Championship under
21 at Bucharest Romania. This was organized by International Billiards and
Snooker Federation. Right from her childhood she has been interested in
snooker and has been practicing for quite a long time. She is from Bhimavaram
town in West Godavari district and she found it very difficult to get coaching.
Somehow she was able to be trained from the coach Venkatesh who
represented Indian Railways. Earlier, she participated in National Snooker
Championship in Kolkata in January 2015 and stood as semifinalist in the
tournament. Four players were selected for this tournament and she was in the
third place in the team from India.

Microsoft Technology Associate
Under MICRIT AWARD (MTA)
Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) organized Hackathon, a coding competition on 13-07-15
as part of one week Training Program on ". NET Technologies + MTA + Hackathon" in
collaboration with an Academic partner of Microsoft.
A total of 76 students from III & IV year CSE and IT have actively participated in the training
program and got certified with MTA
These students competed themselves in groups and developed 26 different apps in 5 hours.
The teams who developed the top 3 best apps were given the Cash Prizes and Merit
Certificates. The 3 students who won the first prize were given the Offer letters of Internship
at DevmenIT, an Academic Partner of Microsoft.

TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND
FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS @ BVRIT
On 15th of October, BVRIT paid homage to its FOUNDER
CHAIRMAN on his 95th birth anniversary. The birth
anniversary of Padmabhushan Dr B V Raju, is celebrated as
FOUNDER'S DAY with reverence across the society.
Sri K V Vishnu Raju, Chairman SVES, Sri R Rajagopal, Vice
Chairman SVES, Principal Dr. Ch. Venkateswarlu, Deans,
Staff and Students offered floral tributes at his memorial
within the BVRIT Campus. Faculty & Students offered
prayers at Padma bhushan Dr B V Raju Statue. A large
number of people including school children were also
present on the occasion. The Chief Guest for the occasion
Dr Rama Krishna Reddy of Siri Nursing home, Narsapur
stressed on the need for every attempt to promote a wider
understanding of society through interactions with
important and well known personalities, like Vishnu Raju
garu, in the area of community service and those who
made a difference to the lives of the under privileged. SVES
has a longstanding tradition of supporting larger
communities that it connects with – from education,
health, drinking water, large scale development of
employability skills, to assistance during natural calamities
such as earth quakes and cyclones. Like every year, on the
occasion of Founder's day, clothes were distributed to the
poor at BVRIT Campus.

Internet of Things Workshop @ BVRIT
Students of Electronics and Communication Engineering
department of B.V.Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT) under
IETE Students Forum organized a workshop on most trending
topic 'Internet of Things' (IoT) during 15th and 16th of
September, 2015 at the College Campus in Narsapur. IoT
means that the entire physical infrastructure, the whole
world around us, is going to be connected to the internet. The
workshop was held in association with IIT Kharagpur in
collaboration with Tech Bharat. The workshop was attended
by over 170 students from different colleges in the state.
The workshop signifies the extension of internet connectivity
beyond traditional devices like desktop and laptop
computers, smart phones and tablets to diverse range of
devices and everyday things utilizing embedded technology,
to communicate & interact with the external environment, all
via the internet.
Mr.Anshu Pandey (Training Manager) & Mr.Sabeer
Mohammad (Senior Trainer in IoT) trained the students in this
two day workshop. Speaking on the occasion the Convener of
the event Prof (Dr) I.A.Pasha, Head Of department of ECE said
“ The Internet of Things revolves around increased machineto-machine
communication; it's built on cloud computing
and networks of data-gathering sensors; it's mobile, virtual,
and instantaneous connection; and they say it's going to
make everything in our lives from streetlights to seaports
'smart'. This workshop is a powerful value addition to the
students for their future projects and improvises their
technical skills”.
A N O B L E C A U S E
On the graceful occasion of the 95th Birth anniversary of (Late) Padma Bhushan Dr. B. V. Raju, BVRIT,
Narsapur has organized a blood donation camp on 15th of October, 2015 (FOUNDERS DAY) in
collaboration with of NTR Blood Bank, Banjara Hills. The participation from the students was
enthusiastic as 160 students donated blood. The program was inaugurated by our Chairman Mr. K. V.
Vishnu Raju. He briefed the importance of Blood Donation as each donor can save three lives.
On this occasion he said “only 50percent of the country's blood requirement is fulfilled through such
blood donation camps. Hence, there is a need to create awareness amongst our youth for active
participation in such a noble cause”. Also he congratulated all donors & organizers. In the inauguration
function, Dr Rama Krishna Reddy of Siri Nursing Home, Narsapur, Vice Chairman Mr. Ravichandran
Rajagopal, Principal Dr. Ch. Venkateswarlu, DGM Mr. M. Kantha Rao, Head of the department – IT Prof.
K. Dasarath Ramaiah and other HODs were present.
TOLERACE
An Awareness Program on Prohibition of Ragging in
Educational Institutions was conducted in Auditorium of
BVRIT-N on 18th of August, 2015. Mrs. Badugula Sumathi,
IPS, Superintendent of Police, Medak addressed the
program. Speaking on this occasion, she said “those students
who indulge in the acts of ragging shall attract the
punishments like expulsion from the college, fine with public
apology, no placement assistance, etc. Also students have to
report any ragging act witnessed or experienced by them to
the College administrators, faculty, Student Affairs and
Grievances Committee or any other staff member with whom
the student may feel comfortable. The College ensures the
confidentiality of such a disclosure by the student.”
It is new training initiative at BVRIT-N for the 3rd year
hostel students started with the objective of helping
students not only acquire skills that are essential 'to get a
job' but also gain understanding / knowledge on how to
perform that job effectively. The training sessions include
16 Classroom Hours and four hours of Assessment. The
training sessions (Classroom sessions & Team review) for
the rst batch were completed during the rst week of
November. The Individual assessment is scheduled for the
rst week of January 2016. BVRIT Alumni working in
reputed companies like Deloitte, INFOSYS, TCS, Cyient,
Computer Associates, etc from the evaluation team. The
method followed is 'Learning by Examples'. Mr A.L.Kishore,
Associate Professor at BVRIT-N is the Mentor for the
programme. The topics covered in the training sessions
include Crystal Ball – Future Matters, Leadership in Action,
Working in teams, Goal Setting, Visioning Exercise, GDs,
Facing Interviews, Character Building, etc

BORN SUPREMACY
Promethean'15
The National level Tech Fest of BVRIT-N “Promethean'15” was held during 14-15,
October, 2015. Response from the participants, faculty, students and guests was
astounding. It is evidential to have an event of this proportion done because of the
efforts put in by the students in a smart way. With a theme “Spreading the flame of
knowledge” event has been the platform by creating a communication channel between
students of different disciplines.
Event witnessed wide diversity of participants who interacted and exchanged ideas, so
as to meet the corporate world challenges. The inaugural Ceremony was stupendous
with the presence of Chief Guest Mohan Desu, Vice President & Global Delivery Head -
Design at Satyam Venture Engineering Services and Sri K V Vishnu Raju, Chairman
SVES, Sri Ravichandran Rajagopal, Vice Chairman, SVES, Principal Dr.Ch
Venkateswarlu along with the other members of BVRIT Family.
Stating the words of the Chief Guest, “Follow what your passion is and try to convert all
the situations favorable to you. Never say that we lag in opportunities, create
opportunities and use the ones available”. Participants expressed their happiness to
listen him talk.
CLASSICAL
PERFORMANCE
The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst
Youth (SPIC MACAY) is a voluntary youth movement which promotes intangible
aspects of Indian culture heritage.
Shri. Waseefuddin Dagar who has recorded in Switzerland, India, and America
with major recording labels is associated with the organization SPIC MACAY. He is
awarded with Padma shri in 2010.
On an invitation from BVRIT, Sri. Waseefuddin Dagar and his team performed a
classical Hindustani vocal show during the third week of August, 2015. The Stage
performance, coordinated by the SPIC MACAY organization, had a brief
introduction about the classical culture of our country and a set of songs
performed by the team. “For one who listens to the wholeness of the existence,
everything is music. There is nothing which is not music. Every little sound has a
certain impact. If you listen to a certain kind of sound, you become loving. Some
other sound can make you joyful. Some other sound makes you aggressive.
Sounds create not just emotions, they also change the very chemistry of your
system. So the kind of sounds you are exposed to, and the kind of sounds you
generate, do various things to you were the words said by Shri. Waseef Uddin
Dagar.”

Bane), Impact of advertising on consumers, Banning mobile phones
in colleges, City Vs Village Life, Imposing Dress code in Engineering
colleges, etc.
BBC Learning English for 1st year Girl Students (Sept –
Oct, 2015).
ENGLISH READERS CLUB was thrilled by the overwhelming response
of the participants as it was a good opportunity to discover some real
talents among the students. The winners of the competition were

installed a “Smart Lift System” to enable the lift
usage by the visually challenged employees of
Deque. As a part of product development,
“Wireless Water Tank Control and Monitoring
System” had been installed in two different
locations and has been successfully tested
Digital India Hackathon
On behalf of MIC, the CSE department has
conducted the prestigious event Digital India
Hackathon in BVRIT campus. 236 students from
different branches of BVRIT Narsapur and BVRIT
Hyderabad Women's college have participated in it
and got awareness of various latest technologies of
Microsoft. Mr. Jagadeesh, Evangelist and Corporate
Trainer, Microsoft India was the Resource Person.
The topics of sessions on include SaaS, PaaS, IaaS
Cloud services, Hosting live websites, Virtual
Machines, Database Integration, IOT etc.All the
student participants have been given the Dream
Spark Keys with which they have activated their
respective Windows Azure Accounts.

July, 2015 and they have been absorbed by Dr.

fee of Rs.56 Lakh in this program.

A three day National work shop on “Advances in Modeling, Optimization and Control of
Chemical Processes has been organized at BVRIT from 28th July to 30th July, 2015 for
the benefit of faculty from various engineering colleges, PG students, Research Scholars
and participants from industry. The thematic areas of the workshop include
Mathematical Modeling and Simulation, Computational Fluid dynamics, Advances in
Process Optimization, Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Design and Analysis of
Experiments & Advances in Process Control and Fault diagnosis. Eminent speakers Prof.
D.P. Rao (Ex Professor IIT, Kanpur), Dr.A. Seshagiri Rao (NIT, Warangal), Dr.M. Narasimha
(IIT, Hyderabad), Dr.Ch. Venkateswarlu (Principal BVRIT, Narsapur) and Mr.B. Shiva
Kumar (BVRIT, Narsapur) delivered lectures in the work shop. Mr.K. Vigneshwar Rao and

PROGRAMME
VIPER organized induction day on
31st of August 2015 to give a warm
welcome to the freshmen. All the
freshmen were invited along with
their parents to the college Campus.
Sri K V Vishnu Raju, chairman, SVES
was the chief guest for the day.
The program began with the
inauguration of goddess Saraswathi
idol in the college premises by our
Chairman Sri Vishnu Raju. Then our
Principal Dr. A. Ramesh started the
program by addressing all the
students, parents , guests and staff
gathered. He talked about various
activities and programs which
differentiate VIPER from others. He
also gave a vivid image of the
Pharmacy course.
Every year 25th of September is
celebrated as “World Pharmacist Day”.
As per the announcement of FIP
( I n t e r n a t i o n a l P h a r m a c e u t i c a l
Federation) this day has been set aside to
organize activities that promote the role
of pharmacists in improving health in
every corner of the world.
As a part of Pharmacist day celebrations,
the students of VIPER organized “Blood
Donation Camp” in the college premises
involving the students and staff. About
hundred participants donated blood.
They were given certificates for donating
the blood.
An awareness rally was organized to add
joy to the celebrations. The main motto of
the rally was to create awareness among
public about the role of pharmacist in
healthcare. The rally began from
Narsapur X roads and continued to the

in Narsapur .Overall the celebrations
created a sense of joy and pride in
everyone who is part of the noble
pharmacy profession. In addition, VIPER
conducted a “Health camp” in Maddur
village near to Narsapur along with fifty

Prasad.
Few of our students visited few
Intermediate colleges and gave lectures
to bring awareness among the students
about the cancer disease.

in NIPER, Mohali & S.Divya Vani got Admission in NIPER Hyderabad.

273 and received the “Best Performer
award” from Dr. Ahmed Kamal
,Director, IICT in Graduation and is
presently working as an Intern in Drug Regulatory Affairs Dept. of NOVARTIS HEALTHCARE PVT LTD shared her experience in the
college and said there was tremendous scope to become team leaders for those who pursued their academics in VIPER.
The Chief Guest Sri K.V. Vishnu Raju, our Chairman shared his views on scope the pharmaceutical field had. He also spoke about
BVRIT's introduction of Pharmaceutical Engineering, a new discipline in engineering for the first time in Telangana and Andhra
Pradesh. He also stressed on the importance of practical knowledge over theoretical knowledge .He suggested to visit Industries
for exposure. Then Principal introduced the faculty members to the parents and students. After the lunch, it was the time for
Campus Darshan for the parents and students. Introduction to Pharmacy course and details of various career opportunities were
shared with the freshers. Also , students were provided with lab manuals.

(LSSSDC) is an autonomous and a Not-for-Profit
Organization, promoted by the Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII) and leading Life Sciences
Industry Members across India(like, IPA, BDMA,
IDMA, ACRO, ABLE, etc), with financial support
by National Skill Development Corporation
(NSDC).
LSSSDC has identified VIPER as Vocational
Training Partner. The vision of the centre is to
develop industrial skills, in the manufacturing,
quality control, quality assurance areas, amongst
fresh pharmacy graduates, who will be readily
appointed by the pharmaceutical industries.

VIPER started a Centre for Human Excellence by Swami Bodhamayanandaji from Ramakrishna Math in Feb 2015. The
centre was started for development of moral and ethical aspects in personal and professional life both for students and
faculty. The eminent speakers motivated us about the live examples of Sri Rama Krishna Paramahansa and Swamy
Vivekananda. VIPER will become accredited institution by next year. Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence has
been serving the society from almost many years by conducting various courses, seminars and programmes helpful to all
age groups giving special attention to the youth and also to people from all walks of life like students, parents, teachers,
doctors, government employees etc., the number of beneficiaries is more than 6, 00,000.
Indian youth is in lack of good inspiration and motivation. Youth has to focus on these type good speeches .These
speeches changes an ordinary person into extraordinary person. To spread the great thoughts of Swami Vivekananda,
Mr.T.R.Ganesh a faculty from Vivekananda Institution of Human Excellence Centre visited our campus and gave a guest
lecture on 6th November.

HELPING HANDS
VIPER has become a part of “Aasya Cancer Foundation”. Viper students have been
taking a lead since 2010 and helping this organization. It donated Rs.5000/- to this
foundation through Lord Ganesh idol on the occasion of Vinayaka Chathurthi.
30 VIPER students dedicated a flash mob at Forum Mall to a two year old boy named
Rishi who is suffering from cancer. After this performance our Chairman Sri K.V.
Vishnu Raju donated Rs. 25000 . The celebrity singer Mr. Revanth Kumar donated Rs.
20000/-. VIPER collected and donated Rs. 1, 00,000 for the child's treatment. We
also celebrated his birthday in Rainbow Hospitals. Now the treatment is almost done.
Renuka of IV year and Kavya from III year are selected as Board members and there is
a volunteers meeting on 29th Nov, at Indira Park, Hyderabad.
Sri Vishnu Educational Society has established a Computer Training Center
under Cyber Grameen Project in Swarna Bharat Trust - Atkur, Vijayawada
Chapter which was inaugurated on 10.01.2016 by Shri Rajnath Singh, Minister
of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, in the presence of Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu,
Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and
Parliamentary Affairs. The center set up at a cost of Rs.60 Lacs will be imparting
professional computer training to the village youth for employment prospects as
well as entrepreneurial development.

Kumudavalli village at the B.V.Raju Knowledge Center.
10 sewing machines have been donated to the Mahila
Mandal of Durgapuram, WG. District, A.P helping women of
that village to have a secured livelihood.
Apart from this, the foundation is also doing commendable
work in the rehabilitation of disabled people.

Dr Ch. Venkateswarlu
Former Chief Scientist (Director Grade) at IICT and
present PRINCIPAL, BVRIT, Narsapur
Dr. Ch. Venkateswarlu, currently the Principal of B V Raju Institute
of Technology, Narsapur has earlier worked as Scientist, Senior
Principal Scientist and Chief Scientist (Director Grade) at Indian
Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a premier
research and development (R&D) institute of Council of Scientific
and Industrial Research (CSIR).
He holds 33 years R&D experience along with 15 years teaching experience and 2
years industry experience. He published more than 80 research papers majority in
international journals of repute. He is also credited with 60 national conference
proceedings and technical paper presentations. He executed many sponsored
projects including projects from DST and industry. He has guided several
postgraduate and Ph.D students. He received various awards in recognition to his
R&D contributions. He is a Fellow of Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences.

SVES achieved a rare feat of crossing 1000 placements
for the current session in three months. Various
leading companies of India visited different colleges of
SVES for placement drives in Hyderabad, Narsapur &
Bhimavaram. SVES has been a consistent outlier for
several years in the list of campus placement records
among private institutions in India. It is proud that its
graduates are highly rated by employers from industry
in the private and public sectors. Some of the
placement like those in IBM, TCS & Tech Mahindra had
offered outstanding salaries. The aim of achieving 100
% placements is only a matter of time as many more

SUCCESS PATH
I present myself to all Vishnu family feathers of
my alma mater, BVRICE, as Kaliprasada Raju
Rudraraju. I am proud to say that I am an MCA
student passed out in 2003 and more proud to
claim that I am one of the eye catchers in my
batch. Hailing from a poor family, I sailed a
hardship during student life which made me
realize the necessity of uplifting measures in
the latter part of my growth. As a Technical
Lead (Engineering) for Pegasystems
Worldwide India Pvt. Limited (Subsidiary of
Pegasystems Inc.), I look after most
prestigious projects. My earlier assignments
were with Honeywell as Architect–
Configuration Management, Siemens and
Ness Technologies as Manager- Technical
Services, but no regrets anywhere. I am as just
I am, of course, more experienced but still
young. I am very happy to know that our
Vishnu Educational Society is bringing out a
quarterly news magazine, Vishnu Era, and I
wish to utilize this platform to share my as well
as recruiters' views on IT job aspirants. The Six
skill set that are normally expected by the
recruiters includes Basic Subject knowledge,
Technical knowhow, Hard work, Commitment,
Communication Skills and above all Right
Attitude. Here I am trying to emphasize these
aspects to the best of my knowledge.
BASIC SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE
The recruiters expect strong basics in all the
subjects that are a part of the curriculum of the
aspirants. But it is mostly found that some of
the students are inclined to get detailed
knowledge in one or two subjects (which are
interesting to them) and give less priority to
others. It is essential for all new comers that
they must be having minimum basics in all the
subjects learnt.
TECHNICAL KNOWHOW
The aspirants are good at some of the
concepts of a programming language and
writing programs, but they do not try to get
decent implementation level knowledge. They
do not think much from the applications point
of view. But, from the aspirants the recruiters
expect basic programming skills, good logical
thinking ability and analyzing the problem
from all angles.
HARDWORK
Patience and Persistence are much required
from the fresh graduate point of view. There
come honesty and loyalty if you have this
virtue of hard work. Instead, some of them are
not ready to put those extra hours required and
go beyond the scope. This has to be practiced
as much as possible to make it almost like a
habit.
COMMITMENT
Choosing career in software industry should
be like a real goal to the candidates and with
passion they have to dream about shaping
their future in this world. The hard work,
persistence and vision to a career are very
important when you start your journey. But
some of the students come by accident into
this field and struggle a lot to find the balance
between work and satisfaction. So they need
to be very clear and be ready to put the effort
that is required to reach heights.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Missing clarity and a bit indecisive while
giving answers to the point are the two major
hurdles our fresh graduates are facing. At
times they are trying to impress too much (this
will become negative point most of the times)
by thinking that if we talk more and at length,
that would be considered as great skill. This is
totally wrong. In fact, the recruiters look for
clear and crisp presentation. Rather, how
confident you are while speaking and how you
are able to put across your views is more
significant. Answering to the point (not more
and not less) is really an excellent good quality.
RIGHT ATTITUDE
Some of the aspirants do not carry the right
attitude and this will create a negative
impression. Some of them don't take the
things with open mind and can't think from
broader perspective. Thinking out of the box is
the need of the hour. Positive and inspirational
voice culture attracts every one. You should try
to be role a model and guide who can motivate
and show the path to others. No scope for
selfishness and silo style of work ethics.
MY HUMBLE SUGGESTION TO FRESH
GRADUATES
Get your fundamentals/basics right and come
to the battle field like an unbeatable warrior
with a very positive mind set and energy levels.
Possess good logical and reasoning ability
with smart/creative ways to propose solutions
to a problem. Try to be confident and clear in
your communication. Show good attitude and
nice gestures during all your interactions with
others. Hard work, dedication, commitment
and career planning are must to succeed in
this industry.

BHAARATA VIDYA SIBIRAM is a program to reminisce our tradition. This program was held from
21.06.2015 to 25.07.2015. This was organized by Dr. Prasad Jayanti, James Frank Family Professor of
Computer Science, Dartmouth College, U.S.A. He was assisted by his wife Aparna Jayanti. Thirty
students of computer science back ground out of 86 students were selected by a pre-written
examination conducted by this organization. These students were trained in the following concepts:

Dr. M. Kalyani, Assistant Professor of English and Soft Skills, KITS, Huzirabad, Karimnagar delivered a lecture
to final year B.Sc, and B.Com. students on 09.09.2015. The students were taught how to face interviews, how

On the occasion of NSS day on 23.9.2015 competitions, Nutritious Food
Preparation and Waste Product Moulding were held at BVRICE under the
organization of NSS coordinators Mr. M.E.V.V. Rambabu and Mr. Y. Kirankumar.
More than 250 students participated enthusiastically in these competitions.
Students showed their prowess in waste product moulding and a toothsome
nutritious food was prepared by students. This program astonished the visitors.

On the eve of Vinayaka Chathurdi, Vishnu Cultural and Literary Club of BVRICE
orchestrated Eco- Ganesh program on 15.9.2015. As a part of this program,

friendly materials. This program brought out the hidden artistry of students. This
program was coordinated by VCLC Coordinator Mr. B. Meshak Raju, Lecturer of

Final year Life Science students participated in the program of Blood Grouping
conducted on 15 and 16 October 2015. These students were superintended by
the HOD of Life Sciences Mr.M.E.V.V. Rambabu and other faculty of the
department of Life Sciences. The students proved their acumen by testing 750
samples.

In a bid to provide quality primary education to children from rural areas and also hands
on experience to students studying in government schools, Chairman Sri K.V. Vishnu
Raju established a nodal Centre of excellence, Dr. B. V. Raju Knowledge Centre in
Kumudavalli in 2002. The Centre is equipped with a smart class room, a well stocked
library, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer laboratories in addition to the state-ofthe-art
Robotics and English Language Learning laboratories. As of now, 28 schools are
utilizing the services of the centre and above one lakh students have benefited from it.
A HELPING HAND
Acknowledging that Health is a vital precondition for achieving social
good, the society and foundation pay attention to health care. They
reach out to the people afflicted by the HIV, TB and Leprosy pandemic.
The Foundation joins hands with institutions like the FML Leprosy
centre, (Srungavriksham West Godavari District) St. Mary's Hospital
(Bhimavaram, W.G. Dt) to provide care for such people. Food and
medicines are distributed to the patients. In the words of Sr. Rosy, the
administrator of St. Mary's Hospital: “SVES renders really valuable
service to our people, food, financial support, pensions and education.
Great service, indeed!” she adds. “After his death his grandson
carries on the tradition. May the Lord shower his blessings on them” is
their heartfelt prayer. One cannot miss the sincerity in her words.
Feeding the poor is done at regular intervals by the Foundation and
financial assistance is provided to the patients suffering from chronic
diseases and ailments. Old age pensions are also given by the

Assistive Technology Lab is a unique contribution of Chairman Sri K.V. Vishnu Raju for
empowering the differently abled. Under the guidance of Prof. Alan Rux of the University
of Massachusetts, students design and develop assistive devices for the differently
abled and these devices are given free of cost to the needy on World Disabled Day. The e-
stick for the blind, e-coat, liquid level identifier, robotic arms, audio visual aids of
learning are some of the devices developed in this lab. Since 2010, SVES has spent over
INR 10 million on the ATL initiative. The health initiatives of the society have created a
confidence in the public. They know whom to turn to.

has been investing considerably on
housing in an attempt to reduce
homelessness. Cement worth one crore
was donated by our Chairman towards
the Indiramma Housing Scheme taken up

worth two crores was distributed for
housing to the people of Kumudavalli and
to the people dislodged during the road
widening on Bhimavaram-Pippara Road.

Excursion
During Dussera Vacation, Vishnu Public School organized an
excursion to North India covering Delhi, Jaipur, Agra,
Fathepur Sikri and Madhura. Principal along with AO and
staff escorted 92 students. The excursion gave them a great
experience of historical places and monuments and left them
with ever lasting memories.

Q. How was the journey from being a student to Sr. Director of
Human Resources?
A. To answer it in one word – “experiential”, but to elaborate, I think it
was a huge learning all thru, and it continues to be so even now. Being
with people, working with them, crafting career ladders is all a different
ball game and it's quite full-filling. Just like any student transitioning
to a professional, I also had my share of “learnings” and with the right
mentors who saw the potential in me; I think I got the right opportunity
to add value. Thanks to the IT Industry which was also booming and
gave me a lot of exposure, globally.
Q.Why did you decide to get into HR after your graduation in
Commerce & Law?
A.It just seemed like a natural transition for a people person like me. In
that era, it certainly was not a well-laid out path, but I am glad that I
took it. Since the function involves, dealing with people and interacting
with them, I love this field. I used to do Talent Acquisition,
Administration, man-power planning etc. then learnt the HR
Generalist activities and then with right mentoring, I was able to use my
skills to the talent management area and here I am, running the entire
gamut of activities in the HR function.
Q.In your opinion, what is the most important trait a woman leader
must have? Could you exemplify / elaborate it?
A.Not just a women leader, for any leader, it is very important to exhibit
“Empathy”. “Empathy” means being able to listen to and understand
the feelings of others. Sensing the thoughts and feelings of others and
responding in an appropriate way. In my opinion, if we are able to do
this, a lot of decisions that we take will be well thought thru. One trait
that comes to my mind is that women are more “Assertive”, they don't
mince words. To be successful, you need to put your point straight and I
think we do it well. Another trait that is a close next is the ability to Multi
task and focus on completion of these simultaneously – it's a natural
trait and a clear example is the way we balance work & life. The
demands are competing and the balance may shift from time to time,
but the important lesson here is that it's important to try—to recognize
that both work and home are important and deserve our attention.
Q.Throw some light on how women being in leadership positions
are changing the world?
A.As per a study done by Oxford University, women are hardwired to
affirm life. They have a natural love of people, diversity, and community.
Their natural leadership style is mentor-leadership. It is very
collaborative and as a result, they grow people and mentor them and in
our current world, this is very important.
Q.What are your expectations from an entry level employee?
A.We understand that they are eagerly looking to convert theory into
practice and hence, having a general curiosity, ability to learn faster,
seek guidance and ask for help are the generic expectations.
Specific expectations from the job/their work are set by the immediate
manager.
Q.What are the biggest opportunities for budding engineers in the
next five years?
A.Technology is evolving with such a pace that it is highly difficult to
talk about the next five years. We had never imagined technologies like
Big Data five years ago. Opportunities are everywhere, and any
industry is constantly changing and evolving. Be the best in the field
that you are in and constantly look out for what is new and embrace it.
Thankfully internet has helped us do this efficiently. Data Science is one
field which I can say has numerous opportunities in the coming years.
Q.Now-a-days, the students are intelligent and also good. But
inwardly, they seem to be restless and agitated. They want things to
happen instantly, otherwise they get frustrated. May be an
element of peace or tranquility is missing in them. What do you
suggest the students in order to be focused and maintain a balance
in their lives?
A.I think the question says it all, “Balance” is the key word here. Firstly,
it's important to know their strength and then align it to what they want
to do in life. By doing this, they know they are pursuing their passion
and when they are passionate about the thing they are doing, balance
comes automatically. Also they should never compare themselves with
others. Comparison brings negativity in the mindset of a person. To
bring balance in one's life it is crucial to feel good about who one is and
what s/he has.
Q.You must have faced many challenges in your professional life.
What was the toughest one? How could you overcome?
A.Challenges are part of everyone's life and I would like to call them as
“Learnings”. Every situation at that point in time seems tough, but
when you look back, it doesn't seem so, because that would have made
you better in some way. So, instead of focusing on the challenges, I
suggest we look at the achievements, always.
Q.Who is/are your role models in your life? What is that you liked
most in them?
A.None in specific, but any one that is making a difference in any way
does influence in some way, even a stranger. I do learn a lot from
various interactions that I have with people. I get highly influenced by
people with high energy and those that radiate positive influence. Just
being around them, makes a big difference.
Q.What advice do you offer to engineers like us who are focused on
getting a good job and being successful?
A.Just one simple thing – “Pursue your passion”. Measuring success is
very relative, so define your own path and be passionate about
following it. A passionate career always reflects the pride and
enthusiasm with which you perform each day, what you've achieved
and where you're headed. If you are smart and following your heart, gut
and long-term goals, you will definitely find yourself on a career path
that fills you with lots of self-esteem.

still vividly remember sitting in the rst row of the
room, slightly disoriented by a heady mix of
apprehension and excitPreviewement. I lived that
moment many times before in my head, but nothing
beats actually being there, waiting for the rst day of
college to unfold. In the four years to follow, Vishnu
helped prove many of those apprehensions blissfully
false, and left me with the sweet aftertaste of a
pleasant surprise.
Like many other students akin to me, I started college
in a state of utter confusion. I only had a slight idea of
what to expect
from life, and I

As someone who believes that one’s education is never
complete without introspection, the best thing about

Vishnu, for me, is that it provided me an opportunity to
do exactly that. College helped me meet people, whose
thoughts and beliefs I came to regard as my own, with
time. One such great soul is our Founder Chairman B.V.
Raju garu. I can only imagine the sheer intensity of
effort and conviction it takes to uphold a vision of this
scale. He continues to inspire me ceaselessly.
The four years I spent at Vishnu helped me understand
that education is never about a mark sheet. It is not
about competition with someone else outside of me.

breathing life into the design-thinking and storytelling of startups

The Inter-Collegiate Literary event e-Swara, The Voice of English, was organized at
Sri Vishnu Educational Society, on 15 October 2015 in Padmabhushan Dr. B.V. Raju
Auditorium. This day is significant as it marks the birth anniversary of our Founder
Chairman Padmabhushan Dr. B.V. Raju garu. It also commemorates the birthday of
Bharata Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, known as Students' Day.
Initially Group Discussions and Power Point Presentations on various topics were
held in all the institutions of the campus and the finalists of the respective colleges
participated in the final Inter-Collegiate event. Special Poster Presentation

The Department of EEE organized a two day workshop on "Applications of Soft
Computing Techniques in Electrical Engineering using MATLAB" on 09 October
2015 and 10 October 2015. The entire faculty and the students of IV B.Tech EEE
participated in the workshop.
Dr.Ramesh Kumar from Pondicherry acted as resource person and taught the
students about various tool boxes available in MATLAB and their use in the

Application Security” on 3 October 2015 and 4October 2015. Students of IV

and explained security related issues in web applications and different types
of security vulnerabilities (Top 10 Open Web Application Security

October 2015. The resource person was Sri B. Srinivas, Operations Manager at
Kalva Engineers Private Limited, Hyderabad. He gave an overview of the various
NDT techniques and their applications in the field of automotive, aerospace, oil &
gas sector and thermal power plants. He also emphasized the role of Mechanical
Engineers in these sectors and enlightened the students regarding job

Woah !! What a day it was, a patriotic, a noble , a memorable day .
We started our day with an intention to support INFINITY RIDE
which was organized by Aditya Mehta Foundations in
collaboration with NTR trust. All the way it started from
Bangalore to Hyderabad a 570km cycle ride with a theme to
encourage the disabled to inspire them to boldly face the various
challenges of life.
Around 60 athletes of age group 16-70 years took part actively. It
included 30 BSF Jawaans and 26 Para-athletes. We BVRITians
were there to cheer and encourage them. Firstly we met Mr. Nara
Lokesh and then founder of Aditya Mehta foundations, Mr Aditya
Mehta. We took a groupie with him. BSF(Border Security Forces)
were instrumental in providing the security to the athletes all the
way. Celebrities encouraged the riders to take up more such
challenges to show the world what they were capable of. It was very
inspiring to see the spirit of Para-athletes complete the ride by
overcoming all the obstacles and challenges and that moved
everyone's hearts.
We were honored to be a part of such a humble event. Thank you

This article won the first prize in the Essay Writing Competition
organized by English Readers' Club, Club InQuizitive @ BVRIT-N.
I was kind of sad, when I stepped out my
grand-father's house, thought of backing
off but was not possible. It was my 10th
grade summer vacation. I live with my
family in Mumbai. My father decided that
we can enjoy the vacation in our village.
It was my first actually visiting the
village, sounds funny, isn't it? But yes.
During my experience of one month in my
village, I understood the difference in life
in both the areas. Yes it is true that city
life is good than village life, but there are
lot of disadvantages and advantages in
both the areas.
Let's first talk about the so called city
life. Lots of opportunities for an
individual to develop and excel in life.
Better transport and connectivity among
different sectors. A way better
infrastructure than any village in terms of
schools, hospitals, office, colleges etc. We
are connected to each other through
internet. We get continuous electricity
and water, which are kind of most of the
people wanted.
Now, let's see the other side of the coin.
Cost of living that is very high especially
in cities like Mumbai. Pollution, which is
the biggest problem of all. It is very
difficult to find space for ourselves. Lots
of rush here and there, which makes us
feel uncomfortable. Schools are
completely different. When I see the
village schools in terms of friends, fees
etc. So basically it is very tough to live if
you are from middle class family.
When it comes to village, what I
experienced was there is lot of unity
among the people, there is a harmony and
protect the culture. Very less
competition in different areas. A place
where one can develop by putting right
effort. And most of all there is no
pollution and our family gets complete.
Here will be power cuts, less transport
and not a very good infrastructure, but it
is a place where we can live freely.
At the end of the day I recalled my entire
village and I'm sure I will visit it again very
soon. I'll support village life.

The department of Orthodontics organized
“Smile Torch and Orthodontic Awareness
Campaign” program from 19 to 26 August
2015 in various colleges and schools in the
vicinity of Bhimavaram. Around 1,600
children from 6 schools and 5 colleges were
screened and 3,000 students were made
aware of the importance of Oral Hygiene
and benefits of Orthodontic treatment with
the help of Audio Visual Aids, and power
point presentations.

Mrs. Neelam Pathak is the DGM, Engineering Services Division at John Deere. She was the University Rank Holder at AIT, Pune in B.Tech
(Mech) and an alumna IIM Lucknow. Her stint as Leadership positions at Tata Motors, Suzlon and Mahindra facilitated her to manage and
challenge the phenomenal technological growth, face the expectations and complexities in a fast evolving market place. Her affable charm
combined with her go-getter attitude make her one of the smartest faces of success in the Automobile Industry. Her strength is to
transform strategy into functionality by implementing carefully planned, gradual steps that ensure the vision comes to fruition. In an
interview to Team Vishnu Era, Mrs. Neelam Pathak, she shared many facets of the current corporate world.

Q. Could you please tell us about your
journey from a fresher at AIT, Pune to
DGM @ John Deere?
A. I joined AIT ( Army Institute of
Technology, Pune) in year 1997 , I started
with E&TC branch , but as I always
believe you should do what you are
passionate about , I shifted in second
year to Mechanical Engineering, as that
was the field that I got inclined to .
I got my campus placement in Tata
Motors , one of the best mechanical
companies for Fresher's to join for having
hands on experience in automobile
sector. I started as design Engineer and
then moved on to take assignment in
manufacturing and in Marketing for
some time and later to Project groups in
New Product introduction group. I was
taking care of the New Products in Utility
vehicle there.
Later in year 2007, I joined Mahindra
Navistar as the Program Manager where
I was given responsibility of the very first
Program of a green filed project. After
completing the successful launch of the
product I moved on for doing the higher
studies for an year in management at IIM
Lucknow .
Then I Joined as Assistant General
Manager in Suzlon in year 2011 in
Product development their I worked in
Strategic sourcing group , and later in
Mid 2013 I shifted to join John Deere as
DGM –Engineering Services.
Throughout my professional journey till
date I continuously strived to learn new
things, learning lot of things by Hands on
experience and taking up initiatives , this
helped me to expand my learnings
horizon.
Q. Kindly tell us something about your
learning experience at IIM Lucknow?
How IIM Lucknow is different from
other IIMs?
A. I did a One year – executive program
f r o m I I M L u c k n o w i n G e n e r a l
management . The Program that was
offered by IIM Lucknow was more
aligned with my need , reason being I
didn't want to go through a regular post
graduate program , but something
where I can utilize my industry
experience along with the Management
methodology . IIM Lucknow helped me
to learn that. Considering it is one of the
Premier Management institutes – I am
proud to be part of that. I believe all IIMS
are equally competitive and offers
variety of course for freshers as well as
working executives.
Q. Please let us know the mechanisms that
will foster better academia-industry
collaboration that produce manpower
of world class in the field of science and
technology thereby contributing to the
economical and social development at
large.
A. More of Industry and academia
interactions through Collaboration
Projects will help – academia to
understand the current need of industry
as well as Industry to channelize the
future talent present at institutes . This
could be more practically put, now a
days many industries invites students to
work on various current problems ; like
in John Deere we Have “Techno champs
“ , same is like “Baja events “ by SAE .
These are some of the opportunities –
where academia can participate strongly
and understand today's need.
Q. What are some of the 'on-the-horizon'
technologies that Global Indian
manufacturing companies must focus
on, in order to succeed in the global
markets?
A. I will talk with my limited knowledge of
the Industry – mainly the automobile
and agricultural manufacturing
companies . Some of the faster catching
up trends are going towards “Greener
forms” for energy source which could be
cost effective as well as environmental
friendly.
Moving more towards Virtualised
proving out of the product and reducing
the Product development cycle. There
has been constant need and pressure to
reduce the product development cycles.
Q. In the present day scenario, Innovation
is the key to success for any company.
What's your take on this?
A. I completely support and stand for this. I
believe to sustain in the market we
should be constantly innovating and
challenging the status quo. That is the
“mantra” of survival in the highly
complex and dynamic world.
Q. What do you think of the popular
opinion that hard work isn't enough to
rise up the ranks?
A. Hard work has to be aided by SMART
work as well. Perseverance is the key to
success, but it also depends on the
directions you are headed to. One needs
to have the balance of Hard + Smart
work for rise up in the ranks .
Q. What advice do you give for women
aspiring to be future trailblazers in
manufacturing and other related fields?
A. My suggestions to all the girls, who
would like to make their career in Hard
core manufacturing Industry – to have
Passion for this – that will drive you to
have more of hands on experience with
machines . Never hesitate by taking up
initiatives to try out new things – it
increases you learnings exponentially .
And last “Believe in yourself”- that will
drive you to overcome all the challenges,
Q. You must have faced many challenges
in your professional life. What was the
toughest one? How could you
overcome?
A. I remember one incidence prominently –
I was working for New Trucks Product
Development in my previous company . I
was once asked did you realizes the gear
shift effort on the vehicle – and my
answer was NO . That day I decided –
that I am the program manager for this
Truck Project and , I have been raising up
the issue regarding the vehicle
performance and I myself have not felt it.
I applied to get an HDV license for Truck
driving. I learned within a month from
professional , then I took permanent
license to drive Truck. That day onward I
made a point that I need to understand
the pain element we are raising – until
you understand that it is not easy to
convince others. But this is not possible
in all cases – in those area we can ask
questions to better understand it . I
believe if you are convinced and take
anything you will be able to convince
others much better.
Q. Where you draw your inspiration from?
A. I draw lot of Inspiration from my father –
who is a retired Armed forces Officer–
reason being he has taught me one thing
“Never give up” always tried till that last
element left in you.
Q. If GOD appears and asks you what or
whom do you want to be (other than
yourself), what will be your reaction?
A. I am very happy in my Present state – I
still want to be myself only!!
Q. What is your Philosophy of life? Any
Favorite quotes?
A. My Philosophy in life is simple - Do
what you are passionate about – if you
will do what you are passionate about –
Success is bound to come and “Never
Give Up” so easily.

orchards. The campus is close to a
forest which covers 30 sq kms. It has

Department of ECE of Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women. This was intended to
create a practical approach about VLSI related research in the minds of young students and
engineering faculty. This was really a rare opportunity to post graduate students,
engineering faculty and engineers from Industries for their interaction with the experts,
who have vast experience in VLSI design research and development activities. The
emphasis was on designing VLSI circuits for Mixed Signal Circuits using EDA tool like
Mentor Graphics and ADS. The resource person was a technical expert Dr.V. Anil Kumar
from IIT Hyderabad.
Workshop on “Speech Signal Processing: Hands on Experience”
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with
TEQIP-II conducted a two-day workshop on Speech Signal Processing – a Hands-on
Experience for the students of Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women on 27th and
28th of September 2015. The main objective of this workshop is to train and motivate the
participants to learn the basic concepts of Speech Signal Processing and start research
and development of applications of Speech Signal Processing. As speech is a very common
modality for the communication of various technologies and applications such as speech
and speaker recognition, language technologies, speech synthesis, speech enhancement
and speech coding, students were familiarized with various tools used in the recognition of
speech process. Students were given hands on experience of speech recognition in
MATLAB. Dr. Anil Kumar Vuppala enlightened the students and gave practical exposure in
utilizing this technology.
FDP on “Application of Optimization Techniques to Electrical Systems”
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Shri Vishnu Engineering College
for Women organized a one week national level faculty development program on
“Application of Optimization Techniques to Electrical Systems”under TEQIP – II from 7th to
12th September 2015. This One Week workshop aimed at enriching skills of faculty and
researchers with advanced techniques by a set of illustrious speakers, each of whom has
made fundamental contributions to the fields of Electrical systems. The resource persons

The Department of Computer Science conducted a three-day national level FDP on Cloud
Computing under TEQIP-II from 6 to 8 August 2015 at Shri Vishnu Engineering College for
Women. Cloud computing has become very popular these days and is one of the emerging
technologies in the world. The workshop explored the knowledge of cloud computing in
various directions. The resource persons discussed cloud computing opportunities and its
challenges, cloud architecture, cloud security, big data in cloud, business computing with
cloud and many more aspects of cloud computing. The speakers were Dr. P. Santhi

An Associate Professor Dr. Sudheer Kumar Terlapu from the Department of
Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Vishnu Engineering College
for Women participated in one-week Faculty Development Program on
Management Capacity Enhancement Program organized by Indian Institute of
Management(IIM), Raipur under TEQIP II during 12 and 17 October 2015.
Foreign Language Training
As a regular practice, Department of Basic Science organized basic level foreign language training in
German, Japanese, French and Spanish languages. The training went on for 14 days from 5 October
2015. 115 students participated enthusiastically in this programme.
These 115 students were divided into different batches to learn 4 languages. At the end of the courses,
evaluation tests were conducted and every student got through excellently. The trainers were really
impressed for their enthusiasm and commitment for learning these languages in spite of the exams
that were very near at hand. In addition, these trainers were amazed to look at the things that were
happening at Bhimavaram Campus and were very thankful for the hospitality during their stay. The

So, those were my first days at BVRIT. I
had numerous inhibitions on how my
B.tech life would go further. One fine day
all freshmen were acquainted with
different social welfare clubs of BVRIT in
an interactive session and that’s when I
got to know about Enlightening
Lives,BVRIT’s one of a kind NGO. EL‘s
vision is to create social awareness
among students and help them in
building a better society. The team has
come up with an idea of collecting Rs.1
per head per day on a voluntary basis from the students,which adds up to a sum of Rs.30 per head
consistently. Soon, I became a part of EL and it has given me some lifetime memories and great
friends. We primarily focus our funds on education, medical attention to the poor, orphanages, old
age homes and help the needy students of BVRIT.
One unforgettable experience I would love to share is when one of our volunteers got a call one day
to help a child suffering from hemolytic anemia. His parents were poor and couldn’t bear his
operation expenses. We collected the money and two of our volunteers travelled all the way to
donate personally. The doctor was elated to the point that he exempted the operation fee. EL has
numerous such recollections to share. Once I visited an orphanage with two of our volunteers to
donate rice. We wanted to spend some time with the kids. They wanted to play antakshari, we
luckily had our guitars and
that’s it! It was kind of a
mini-concert over there.
The kids were ecstatically
happy and wanted us to
visit them often. After
leaving we got a call from
one of the administrators of
t h e o r p h a n a g e . S h e
sachildren id “the beauty of
social service isn’t merely
about donating money or
stuff but lies in the way you
make people happy. You
have done it wonderfully.
Keep visiting us often. “We
felt so good about ourselves on hearing her words and visit them now and then. Few kids of that
orphanage study in a school near by my place and they recognize me even today.
EL has never failed to give me the considerable feeling you get when you help someone. It has also
given incredible encounters and awesome friends. We don’t confine ourselves just as a part of EL.
We hang out, help each other during exams and always get the required backing from our seniors
who never look back to help us. It’s only because of El I got to know the motivation behind one’s
living.It has made me a better individual. I am extremely thankful to our management for their
support in making EL reach greater heights.
Welcome Budding Freshmen Engineers!
Just as the season of monsoon arrived to mark a change
in the year, so the freshmen stepped into the campus to
bring about a change of creativity and invention in future
contemporary!
It’s time for the seniors to organize the freshers party to
fling aside the differences.

programme without occurring any uneven incidents
which represented the discipline of the BVRIT.
The galaxy of the performances fascinated the audience
and filled zealous in the hearts of every one and lead
towards healthy relation among the seniors and juniors
which was an impetus to maintain further relation
farther!

started the celebrations
with their electrifying dance performances, melodious
songs, humorous skits and playing of the musical
instruments in an artistic style. The blitzes of
performances were filled with intensiveness. Each was
uniquely wonderful.
The most amicable relation among seniors and juniors
caught everyone’s eyes. The expectations were high, the
The juniors were content with the behavior of the seniors
and said that the programme was a fantastic one and
enjoyed a lot, and also they responded that they never
expected such coordination among the seniors and
juniors.
Eventually, the programme was winded up with a happy
ending and the smiles of juniors and hope in future.
