Centra Valley Corvettes - March 2016

Spring is here and it’s time to get the
Corvettes back on the road. I’m looking
forward to going on the Gamblers
Classic run to Laughlin. I have never
been but hear the Bakersfield club does
a great job with all the activities. The
Poker Run sounds like a blast. We’re
even going to sneak in a round of golf
with the Walkers. There is also the
Space Shuttle run to see the shuttle
Endeavour and take in Universal
Studios. It will be interesting for me as I
saw Endeavour being built in Palmdale.
Also, in 1997 my team transported a
major International Space Station
component, Node 1, from Huntsville,
Alabama to Kennedy Space Center
which Endeavour delivered to orbit.
Also this spring is the Clovis Rodeo
Parade and our annual Kroekerville
Picnic.
In October we will be having a party to
celebrate our founding. The Garrahan’s
have graciously offered to host the party.
We had our twentieth anniversary party
there and it was a fun time enjoyed by
all. More information and the exact date
to follow.
Planning continues for the Mystery Run
and all who go should have a good time.
Remember to sign up and pay the trip fee
by the May meeting.

This year marks the twenty fifth
anniversary of Central Valley Corvettes.
During the year Charlotte Renna, our VP
of Public Relations, will be writing
articles profiling charter members. I’m
sure there will be some interesting
stories from the first years of the club.
