"Don't worry. The police will find them." Jeremy smiled<br />

knowing the police would be mislead by the recently edited<br />

footage.<br />

“Did they look <strong>at</strong> the security tapes?” he asked.<br />

“No, I don’t think so,” Lars said with excitement and looked <strong>at</strong><br />

Jeremy as if a new hope had brought him back to life.<br />

“Well, I’m sure they will, if they don’t find the children by<br />

tomorrow,” Jeremy said and p<strong>at</strong>ted on Lars’ shoulder. “Perhaps<br />

I’ll look into it myself tonight, if our robot friends let me.”<br />

Jeremy took a se<strong>at</strong> behind the desk as Lars started to leave.<br />

Suddenly Lars stopped and looked over his shoulder.<br />

“You had better w<strong>at</strong>ch those old Anim<strong>at</strong>ronics. They seem<br />

aggressive tonight, even more than usual,” Lars warned as he<br />

disappeared into the dark hallway.<br />

Jeremy thought of the dead children inside of the old robots,<br />

and wondered…<br />

The answering machine was blinking. “Gre<strong>at</strong>, another<br />

message,” he thought and pressed PLAY reluctantly.<br />

“Hello, hello! See? I told you you wouldn't have any<br />

problems!” The Phone Guy said with a phony enthusiasm.<br />

“Did...uh... Did Foxy ever appear in the hallway? Probably<br />

not. I was just curious. Like I said, he was always my favorite.<br />

They tried to remake Foxy, you know? Uh, they thought the first<br />

one was too scary, so they redesigned him to be more kid-friendly<br />
