WHAT’s ON & operations<br />

Seven Sisters Festival is all about choice. Throughout the weekend there are myriad opportunities<br />

for you including workshops, talks, musical performances, craft activities, massage, divination<br />

and readings. You can also explore the art spaces, healing tents and market stalls.<br />

WORKSHOPS AND TALKS<br />

You do not need to book; but please arrive 10<br />

minutes before the workshop or talk. There are<br />

limited numbers for each event. Please wait at the<br />

entrance for the facilitator to usher you in. Read<br />

more on pages 10 - 34.<br />

MUSIC<br />

Enjoy a dazzling array of female musicians,<br />

comedians and poetic artists performing at the<br />

Chai Tent, Train Station Kitchen and Festival Heart<br />

stages and make sure you attend our exclusive<br />

Seven Sisters Showcase on Friday and Saturday<br />

night. See page 35.<br />

FOOD<br />

During the communal eating times, you can buy<br />

delicious hot meals at our Food Market, Geo’s<br />

Kitchen or Train Station Kitchen (near the lake).<br />

MARKETPLACE<br />

Pick up a new treasure from the oval and festival<br />

heart marketplaces, such as jewellery, innovative<br />

books, clothing, indulgent creams and local arts<br />

and crafts.<br />

Available all weekend by donation. Experience one<br />

of the healing or reading modalities listed here.<br />

Guests can arrive at the sign in tents at the<br />

Divination Space of Healing Haven at the following<br />

times to make a booking for the subsequent shift.<br />

Friday: 12pm-5:30pm<br />

Saturday: 8am-7pm<br />

Sunday: 9am-2:30pm<br />

Booking times for guests are:<br />

Friday: 11.30pm and 2.30pm<br />

Saturday: 7.30am, 10.30am, 1.30pm and 4.30pm<br />

Sunday: 8.30am and 11.30am<br />

NB: Guests cannot book in advance.<br />

You can only book in for an upcoming<br />

2.5 hour shift. Suggested donation $5 minimum.<br />

RUNNING ALL WEEKEND.<br />

CEREMONIES<br />

Our group opening and closing ceremonies held<br />

on the festival oval, near the main stage, allow<br />

women to be part of setting the mood and intention<br />

for the festival. Come partake in these very moving<br />

ceremonies. Hosted by Marisa Cartland, Michelle<br />

Alina Dabrowski, Brunswick Women’s Choir,<br />

Kerryanne Ansari, Sister Native, Jacqui Dreesens<br />

and Wild Moves. Thank you to various performers<br />

who have assisted.<br />

The Opening Ceremony is held at 6:00pm on Friday<br />

The Closing Ceremony at 4:45pm on Sunday<br />

WELCOME TO COUNTRY AND SMOKING<br />

CEREMONY<br />

Official Welcome to Country held by Arweet<br />

Carolyn, respected Elder of the Boon Wurrung<br />

People of the Kulin Nation.<br />

Arweet Carolyn will also conduct a smoking<br />

ceremony, an ancient custom among indigenous<br />

Australians that involves burning various native<br />

plants to produce smoke, which is believed to have<br />

cleansing properties and the ability to ward off bad<br />

spirits. Experience this on the oval at 6:30pm Friday.<br />

Friday: 6:30am -11:30pm<br />

Saturday: 6:30am - 11:30pm<br />
