the president<br />

Thank you for supporting our 115th Bream Creek Show.<br />

The show is run by volunteers and I wish to thank them all for their support throughout the year.<br />

I also wish to thank our sponsors. Their ongoing contribution enables us to continue to provide<br />

a great show.<br />

I hope you all enjoy the attractions listed in our programme and taste our local wines and<br />

produce.<br />

Remember to visit our Hall of Industries to admire all the fabulous entries.<br />

In September last year Matt Dunbabin was awarded the 2015 Australian Farmer of the Year.<br />

Matt is an active part our committee and we pass on our congratulations to him.<br />

We also congratulate Paul and Chris Lovell - Rochford Hall Olive Grove, Kellevie for their<br />

achievement in winning State and National Champion for 2015.<br />

The produce our region showcases, and our wonderful community members contribute to a<br />

great country show.<br />

We know you will all have a great day and once again thanks for coming.<br />

ATTRACTIONS<br />

Flyball<br />

Unlike any other dog<br />

activity to date, flyball is<br />

pure fun for everyone: the<br />

dogs, the handlers and the<br />

spectators. Spectators are<br />

encouraged to applaud,<br />

laugh and cheer on their<br />

favorite team.<br />

City of Hobart Highland<br />

Pipe Band was established<br />

in <strong>19</strong>46, the Band is one of<br />

the longest active and<br />

largest pipe bands in<br />

Tasmania. Watch them<br />

perform.<br />

Group Noise Rock Choir,<br />

the brainchild of Lisa and<br />

Jamie Scott deliver high<br />

powered, adrenaline fueled<br />

rock hits with an awesome<br />

rock band. Since its<br />

formation Group Noise have<br />

made regular appearances<br />

in Festival of Voices and<br />

performed at The Falls in<br />

2013 and 2015.<br />

The Bendigo Bank Animal<br />

Nursery is definitely worth<br />

a visit. Walk through this<br />

exhibit and you will not be<br />

disappointed. With special<br />

thanks to the Sorell School<br />

Farm. Proudly sponsored by<br />

Draught Horses<br />

We hold displays, training/<br />

field/fun days with our<br />

horses using heritage<br />

implements such as ,<br />

ploughs, harrows, carts<br />

and sleds etc. Our horses<br />

are always very well<br />

received by the public,<br />

everyone loves our “Gentle<br />

Giants” and we love<br />

showing what they can do<br />

Dunalley Tasman<br />

Neighbourhood house<br />

kids crafting and nursing<br />

mothers tent. Parents need<br />

a rest for the kids? Head to<br />

the Parent/Child Nursing<br />

Tent, where there is play<br />

equipment & activities. Plus<br />

a private baby feeding and<br />

change area.<br />

Light Horse Brigade Apart<br />

from their common interest<br />

in horses they share a<br />

passion for keeping alive the<br />

memory of the sacrifices<br />

made by our Light Horse<br />

ancestors.<br />

Eddie Freeman grew up in<br />

the timber industry and<br />

trained as a professional<br />

chainsaw timber feller.<br />

He is now self-employed<br />

to pursue his ability as a<br />

chainsaw carver.

Bullocks<br />

Brian Fish and his bullock<br />

team will demonstrate the<br />

skills of yesteryear on the<br />

arena at 9:30am, 12:00pm<br />

and 2.30pm.<br />

Scary Family<br />

Spanning from almost 9<br />

to almost 60 years of age,<br />

the delightful Scary Family<br />

Band will present country,<br />

folk and jazz songs featuring<br />

chickens, bugs, banjos and<br />

tiny spaceships.

State Championship and<br />

Verna Wylie turns 100<br />

Congratulations to Life Member Mrs<br />

Verna Wylie who turned 100 on the 25th<br />

of June 2015, she celebrated her birthday<br />

with family and friends. She received<br />

letters from the Queen, the Governor<br />

General, the Governor of Tasmania,<br />

the Prime Minister and the Premier of<br />

Tasmania.<br />

Verna has been a dedicated and<br />

committed volunteer for many<br />
