Moving Mindfully is a unique movement, alignment and

relaxation class which carefully combines key elements of Pilates,

These fun classes for children provide a wonderful

discipline – improving co-ordination, spatial and body

awareness, concentration and physical confidence. The

ballet training follows the method taught by the Royal

Academy of Dance. Dress comfortably and dance

in either bare feet or dance shoes. Examinations are

available for students and there may be opportunities

to appear in shows.

MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION FOR MBSR GRADUATES

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported course and based on the groundbreaking

research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. With its

foundation in mindfulness, MSC teaches principles and practices of self-compassion that enable us

to respond to difficult moments in our lives with kindness, care and understanding.

MEDITATION FOR INNER PEACE

In this class you will be introduced to a range

of techniques from which you will be able to choose

the one (or ones) most appropriate for you. This is an

ongoing class to enhance your personal practice.

The techniques that we use include breath work,

pranayama, present moment awareness, mantra,

guided imagery and visualisation, mindful Yoga

movement and sound healing. Suitable for all levels

of experience – beginners welcome. We meet for a

‘cuppa’ after each session to share experiences.

Beginners Course

This course will introduce Pilates

principles during the first session

and then will cover basic Pilates

exercises thereafter.

Beginners/Improvers Basic

exercises with more advanced

options for those who have been

studying Pilates for longer. Pilates

principles will be reviewed in the

first session.

Improvers Suitable for those

who have been at beginners’

level for more than 3 terms or by

agreement with the class teacher.

The programme offers a mixture

of basic Pilates exercises with

progressions to take students up

to intermediate level exercises.

As well as teaching exercises from the Pilates repertoire which

are known to increase bone density, this new course will help you

understand how to move safely in your daily life and within an

exercising context. You will also gain a better understanding of

your condition, learn to identify vulnerable areas of your body,

and to interpret those sometimes confusing Dexi scans. You will

need to provide us with your T Score and medical permission

before enrolling for this course.

Refunds Once term has begun, refunds for classes can only be given in exceptional

circumstances and will be subject to a £20 administration fee. All refund requests must

be made in writing. If you are refunded during the course of the term your place is

then cancelled and offered to the next person on the waiting list. Priority status is then

transferred to them.

Concessions are available on some classes. Proof of entitlement will be required

upon enrolment.

Access Our building is over 100 years old and unfortunately its physical layout

restricts access in certain areas for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues.

Please advise us in advance if you have any specific additional requirements/needs and

we will do our best to accommodate you.
