Consulting: When furnishing your wine cellar there are several factors to be considered to
ensure your favorite wines are properly stored and their quality and worth are maintained.
Climate control is an important factor, however insulation, temperature, air humidity and
vibrations also play a signifi cant role. Perhaps some structural modifi cations or the installation
of climate control units are necessary. We are glad to assist you with this matter and will
make sure to fi nd the appropriate climatization and insulation solutions in your cellar for the
optimal storage. If there is no possibility to climatize the entire room, we also offer you solutions
for a partial, separated area to implement the right environment for the proper storage
of your wines.

the classical -
Wine rack
The typical storage rack used by our ancestors was usually made of wooden panels and
its main purpose was the storing of comestible goods, household products as well as wine
bottles. Over a period of several years the wine rack concept has evolved to be more than
just a piece of furniture. The use of natural & synthetic materials coupled with a unique style,
proudly represent the individuality of its owner.
Before the fi nal choice is made for a particular rack system or another storage option, the
following criteria should be considered:
• Proper Location (i.e. cellar, living / dining room, kitchen, utility room, entrance):
adaptation of material, design, color, volume to the surroundings
• Bottle capacity and space availability requirements as well as the
required number of modules and/or rack systems

wood to choose from. The PERFECT FIT system is usually made of pine wood. You have the
choice between 5 different colours of wood: natural, light oak, dark oak, anthracite and
black. Of course we can varnish the wood in the colour of your choice, to add a unique
style to your wine cellar. Particularly popular is white varnish which gives your wine cellar a
fresh and modern atmosphere. If you desire a breathtaking and luxurious furnishing, we also
design wine racks and accessories made of walnut, ash or American oak wood.

BARRIQUE
LINE

A small manufacturer situated in the south of Germany uses precious wood of
wonderful old barrel staves to built tables, stools, cabinets and even doors. All
products are unique in design and are elaborately handcrafted - more individuality
is almost impossible to find for the furnishing of your wine store, vineyard cellar,
presentation room or your home.
Handcrafted designer furniture. Before the finished staves are incorporated into
unique pieces of work they are extensively refurbished. After the oak barrels are
taken apart, the arched staves are separated into three different layers of wood.
With its natural patina, the outside part of the barrels is used to create a rustical
look and from the inside part of the barrels colored with a typical dark red results
in the “red wine“ look.
The middle part of the stave is made out of a higher quality, finely pored wood
which can be used to fabricate furniture such as stools or wood benches. After the
staves are separated, they are pressed back into their original shape through a
special process. Afterwards they are individually furnished with a new middle layer
of waterproof panel material and a new bottom layer. Depending on the product,
the bottom layer is made of massive oakwood or of one of the three wood layers
obtained from the staves. The
final step is to put the “old
new staves“ together through
elaborate craftsmanship to
form new wood panels and
their surface is rubbed with oil
at the very end. Now the raw
material is ready to be part of
unique pieces of work.

Perfect Climate Control
During the design and construction of a wine cellar, it is of utmost importance to take the
conditions for perfect storage into consideration. The ideal air humidity in your wine
cellar should be 80% and the optimal temperature should be between 8°C and 12°C / 45
and 54 F. In this respect, both humidity and temperature should be kept as constant as possible.
We offer a large range of products which will assist you to design and create your own
wine cellar for the long term storage of your wines.
Wine cellar construction with the right isolation.
With the purpose of protecting your wine bottles from external infl uences, it is important to
consider a good isolation material during the construction of your wine cellar. Generally
speaking, the deeper your wine cellar, the better the conditions for your wine. However,
during the planning of the isolation in your cellar (e. g. styrofoam panels with 6 cm thickness),
do not forget about the door. Fact is that isolation is an essential part of our services.
Of course we also provide you with our advice and support in any other topics. In addition,
we offer special doors with temperature control, which provide the optimal isolation and at
the same time the perfect temperature.
Use a humidifier.
Your wine cellar should not be planned without a humidifi er, since the right air humidity
plays an important role in the conservation of your wines. If the humidity is too low, it could
cause the corks to dry out and the bottles will not be air tight anymore. On the other side,
if the humidity is too high, it could support the growth of mold on the labels. It is therefore
necessary to always plan the use of a humidifi er as part of the wine cellar equipment.
Always maintain the right temperature.
With a temperature control device you can always reach and maintain the optimal temperature.
Seasonal weather fl uctuations are balanced out by this equipment without a problem.
Depending on the size of your wine cellar, we will fi nd the right device to install plus accessories
needed. Once the temperature regulation device is installed, you can use a thermo
hygrometer sensor to permanently control the temperature in your wine cellar. You will
receive accurate and reliable values, furthermore as soon as the humidity is too low or too
high you will be warned.

Temperature control devices
For a professional climate control we offer sound proofed units with
performance levels corresponding to the room size. They ensure
a constant temperature between 55° to 57° F /12° C to 14° C.
Depending on the model, you can climatize a room with a volume
of up to 1500 cubic feet. All devices are relatively easy to install
and adjust to the size of the available space. To reach an optimal
environment it is recommended to insulate the interior walls, ceiling
and doors of the room to be ventilated with Styrodur or similar
insulating materials.
Use a humidifier
A humidifier is a device your wine cellar should not do without. A
balance of temperature and humidity is critical for the proper storage
and aging of wine. Temperature affects the rate of maturation
while the right humidity keeps corks in good shape. The temperature
and relative humidity will allow the wines to mature slowly,
reduce mold growth, keep the corks from drying out, and prevent
spoiling of the labels. Ensure your wine cellar has the proper conditions
with the proper temperature control device and a humidifier.

Climatized built-in solutions
If you do not have the possibility to isolate an entire room and install a climate control
device, we offer adequate solutions for a separate climatized area. The available space
can be furnished with your favorite wine racks and a climate control unit according to the
room size. Instead of a wall we install a special insulated glass pane with the corresponding
construction. Your wines are displayed and stored in a wine cellar and visible at all times, the
only difference is the unexpected location.
