Atkins released his fifth album, “Rodney<br />
Atkins - Greatest Hits,” last year. The<br />
album includes 11 of his best loved hits,<br />
and a new track, “Eat Sleep Love You<br />
Repeat.” “Last year’s Country Sunday<br />
was a huge hit, and we are thrilled to have<br />
Rodney carry on this new tradition,” stated<br />
executive director Andrea Jacobson.<br />
Opening night, Friday, May 20 will<br />
see an old friend and performer return to<br />
the stage - Phil Vassar. Vassar’s musical<br />
career includes eight albums, two ASCAP<br />
Songwriter of the Year trophies, Billboard<br />
Country Songwriter of the Year, countless<br />
hits as a singer and songwriter and a mantle<br />
full of awards. Known for the hits “Carlene,”<br />
“Last Day of My Life, ” “American<br />
Child” and chart toppers “In A Real Love”<br />
and “Just Another Day in Paradise,” Vassar<br />
is also a top country song writer, penning<br />
the tunes “My Next Thirty Years” by Tim<br />
McGraw, “She’s Right On The Money” by<br />
Alan Jackson, and Jo Dee Messina’s “Bye,<br />
Bye” and “I’m Alright.”<br />
