development plans are in place for direct personnel reports; offering direction, assignment,

disciplinary action, and personal development of direct personnel reports; and

Fosters a highly motivational climate by providing coaching support, training, performance

management, career development, and guidance to staff and students.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate transparently at all levels;

High degree of integrity; able to lead by example and foster accountability;

Make complex decisions that focus on student success, including understanding the need for

compliance and tempering this with the understanding of when exceptions are important

Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex educational environment building an effective

multi-service team resulting in a strong customer service orientation for the institution;

Sensitivity to the social, cultural and diversity issues in the work place;

Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing, time sensitive environment;

Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with an exceptional capability for resolving issues

in an open and consultative manner; and

A solid understanding of administrative development practices and management experience in

post-secondary sector organizations and multi-union environments.

The ability to effectively lead an organization by upholding policy while understanding the need

for occasional flexibility and exception.

Required Qualifications

The incumbent will possess:

A graduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent;

Deep knowledge of post-secondary ERP systems, information and data management, strategic

enrollment management and registrarial duties;

Five years experience in a leadership role with supervisory, operational, and administrative

responsibilities, with ten plus years experience in a post-secondary setting, with evidence of

continued growth; and

Experience leading in a union environment.
