homemade pies to the judges, you can<br />
check out the auction items that feature<br />

THE malibu arTS FESTiVal<br />
<strong>The</strong> Annual <strong>Malibu</strong> Arts Festival is<br />
produced by the <strong>Malibu</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Commerce</strong>. It is held on the last weekend<br />
<strong>of</strong> July. It has been one <strong>of</strong> Southern<br />
California’s most spectacular outdoor art<br />
shows for the last 44 years. This<br />
wonderful 2-day event brings thousands to<br />
enjoy a weekend <strong>of</strong> great food, live music,<br />
a wine and beer garden, fun activities for<br />
the kids, and the opportunity to purchase<br />
some <strong>of</strong> the most incredible art created by<br />
artists and designers all over California and<br />
beyond.<br />

TaSTE oF malibu<br />
Taste <strong>of</strong> <strong>Malibu</strong> is a culinary and wine event<br />
that showcases an array <strong>of</strong> different<br />
cuisines from local <strong>Malibu</strong> restaurants and<br />
a variety <strong>of</strong> assorted wines from local<br />
wineries in <strong>Malibu</strong>. This event is an<br />
opportunity to enjoy some <strong>of</strong> <strong>Malibu</strong>’s best<br />
culinary creations.<br />

malibu CooKS Tour<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Malibu</strong> Cooks Tour, which is produced<br />
by the <strong>Malibu</strong> Methodist Nursery School, is<br />
a fundraising tour that features gourmet<br />
food prepared by local chefs. While<br />
tasting an array <strong>of</strong> delicious foods, you will<br />
also be touring beautiful gardens and<br />
estates that feature unique art and<br />
furnishings.<br />

maraTHoN<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Malibu</strong> International Marathon is a<br />
running marathon that is intended to<br />
promote health and fitness as well as raise<br />
money for charities. Come out and enjoy a<br />
beautiful day <strong>of</strong> running and building<br />
relationships with those running with you.<br />

THE malibu NauTiCa TriaTHloN<br />
<strong>The</strong> Nautica Triathlon is a fundraising<br />
event held at Zuma Beach that features<br />
divisions <strong>of</strong> swimming, bicycling, and<br />
running races as well as races for children<br />
to participate in. Athletes from all over the<br />
country take part in this exhilarating event.<br />
You may enter into the triathlon to test<br />
your skills on land or water or you can<br />
admire the beautiful sand sculptors<br />
created right on the beach while watching<br />
the races. All proceeds go to the Children’s<br />
Hospital <strong>of</strong> Los Angeles.<br />

THE Polar PluNgE<br />
<strong>The</strong> Los Angeles Polar Plunge is a<br />
fundraising event held at Zuma Beach<br />
where brave swimmers take a plunge into<br />
the chilly Zuma water. For those too<br />
“chicken” to take the plunge, you can still<br />
register and be part <strong>of</strong> the fun. Whether<br />
you’re taking the plunge or watching from<br />
the “chicken coop”, this a fun filled, and<br />
chilly, day! All proceeds go to the Special<br />
Olympics.<br />

aNNual KiwaNiS CHili CooK-oFF<br />
<strong>The</strong> local Labor Day weekend tradition<br />
continues with live music, carnival rides,<br />
games, and food kiosks. Dozens <strong>of</strong> chili<br />
recipes spice up <strong>Malibu</strong> Kiwanis Club's<br />
Annual Chili Cook-Off and Carnival during<br />
the three-day weekend.<br />

Ceremony takes place November 11th at<br />

with the City <strong>of</strong> <strong>Malibu</strong>, Pepperdine<br />

<strong>Community</strong> at <strong>Malibu</strong> Legacy Park. With<br />
speakers who are actively serving our<br />
Nation and those enjoying retirement, this<br />
is a special event for all ages to honor and<br />
