Ready for Euro 6 For Bauma 2016, <strong>TIME</strong> International has redesigned rather than reinvented the wheel with the introduction of several improvements to existing product categories. Now, all units are available for Euro 6! PRODUCT NEWS VTX-240 for Euro 6 (p. 9) The 3.5 t Versalift VTX-240 originally unveiled at Bauma 2013 is now ready for the Euro 6 emission standard. New boom limit system (p. 9) A new boom limit system labelled “Load Moment Control” (LMC) is available expanding the available work area in critical boom angles. Exhibited units Updated ETL/ETM (p. 10) For all ETL and ETM units, the emergency hydraulic valves have been moved down to the pedestal for easier emergency operations. Updated VTX-240 ready for Euro 6 The Versalift VTX-240 has been slimmed down for Euro 6 and the cage capacity upgraded to 220 kg. PRODUCT NEWS The Versalift VTX-240, originally unveiled at Bauma 2013, is now available for the Euro 6 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The unit has been trimmed down to support the heavier chassis with several redesigns to the unit and its various mounting components. Upgraded cage capacity The biggest change is the upgrade in cage capacity to 220 kg up from 200 kg. With the capacity upgrade, the unit is truly available for two operators. Better cage rotation The redesigned cage rotator features one less joint for a smoother cage rotation. Unchanged diagramme The working diagramme is unchanged and the max outreach is still 12.5 m at 80 kg. Still a 3.5 t unit The Versalift VTX-240 is still available for operators with a class B driver’s licence despite the significant increase in the weight of the MB Sprinter Euro 6 chassis. Including a driver and passenger, full tanks of diesel, hydraulic fluids, Ad- Blue and outrigger pads, the unit still has a spare payload of 10-15 kg. New outrigger setup The front outriggers are now fixed while the rear outriggers remain extendable. New boom limit system for ETL/ETM Advanced boom limit system provides extra outreach in crucial boom angles. PRODUCT NEWS LMC (Brown) compared with the traditional boom limit system (Orange) A new boom limit system is now available for Versalift aerial access platforms. The new system, the “Load Moment Control” (LMC) system, is significantly more advanced offering end users a greater total work area as a higher degree of boom extension becomes possible at critical boom angles. Load Moment Control The LMC system continuously measures the force on the main cylinder to determine a variable degree of permitted inner boom extension. With the traditional boom limit system, inner boom extension is fixed and determined solely by the angle of the main boom relative to a fixed cut off angle resulting in a lack of boom extension in critical angles. Using the LMC system, operators gain access to a greater work area at boom angles around 45° that are crucial for typical tasks including street light maintenance. BAUMA SPECIAL 9
