Sept. 10, 1977<br />

Playing No. 1 Oklahoma in Norman, a questionable block-in-the-back call against<br />

Vanderbilt negates the Commodores' apparent game-winning touchdown by split<br />

end Martin Cox in eventual 25-23 loss.<br />

Sept. 12, 1981<br />

Playing before a standing-room only crowd,<br />

the Commodores christen renovated Vanderbilt<br />

Stadium with a 23-17 victory over Maryland.<br />

Nov. 27, 1982<br />

In a cold rain, Whit Taylor scores<br />

on an option rush with 3:00 left to<br />

give Vanderbilt a game-clinching<br />

lead in 28-21 victory over Tennessee.<br />

The win was the Commodores' fifth<br />

straight, and ensured a bowl bid.<br />

Oct. 9, 1982<br />

All-SEC tackle Rob Monaco recovered a Vanderbilt<br />

fumble in the end zone for a game-winning touchdown to<br />

give the Commodores a 31-29 victory over No. 14 Florida.<br />
