PROUD TO SUPPORT THE 40 TH ANNUAL SUBLIMITY HARVEST FESTIVAL, A TRADITION OF OUR HOME AND YOURS
Non-profit organizations from around the state will come
together for the second annual “Cause Day” hosted by
the Sublimity Harvest Festival on Sunday, September 9. The
special event is open to a variety of causes. This display is
nicknamed “Non-profit row,” and these organizations will share
their messages as part of an overall awareness promotion.
Last year, during the first inaugural Cause Day, Festival goers
donated over 350 pounds of food for the Marion-Polk Food
Share.
On September 7 through 9, the Festival celebrates 40 years
of tractor pulls, truck pulls, and monster-truck madness that
attracts an audience of more than 20,000 guests each year.
“This year, the Festival membership felt it was important
to recognize various social causes, be it cancer awareness
or striking out hunger,” explained Festival President BJ Tuttle.
“Our members tend to be deeply involved in different causes,
and we thought this would provide an opportunity for them to
share their interests.”
As a part of Cause Day, the Marion-Polk Food Share will be
collecting cans of food. Guests who bring two cans of food will
not only be helping one of many worthy causes, but will also
receive $2 off their Sunday general-admission ticket.
