Johannes Knuth’s images appear to have captured the light of a
thousand summers, holidays and weekends. His motifs embody an immensely
intense sense of joie de vivre. These are short films from a world that coexists
with the everyday, a world in which Knuth slips into with his camera. He manages
to stage the models in such a natural fashion, that the viewer almost feels as if he
wasn’t actually there taking the photos. His images thus celebrate the most
wonderful parts of life: the joy of the moment.

For Centuries, Russian icon painters have infused religious imagery with an almost
supernatural presence. This approach elevates their work beyond mere homage.
Following in the footsteps of his ancestors, Russian photographer Denis Ignatov
has evolved this classical approach into his own distinctive style.
He transfers this almighty aura onto modern icons such as streetwise rappers and
beautiful princesses. Ignatov’s images are equally as powerful even if they end up

JehleWill are Steffen Will and Benjamin Jehle, who joined to form a creative
collective. Their precisely constructed portraits and documentations place men
and women at the center of a complex world. In their photographs, we get very
close to the protagonists, whether they are in the middle of a beautiful landscape
or in an industrial environment. The duo succeeds with an aesthetic that is both
dynamic and friendly.
