Denmark: Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivers historic address In Copenhagen
"Today, we are living at a time of increasing instability and uncertainty and so every person, in
every part of the world, needs to take individual responsibility towards establishing peace."
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
"The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a sect within
Islam whose purpose and objectives are extremely
clear. We seek to bring mankind towards its Creator -
God Almighty. We seek to draw the attention of all
people towards their responsibilities to their fellow
man and the need to treat one another with love.
compassion and respect. And we desire and seek to
establish true and long-lasting peace in the world.,.
Addressing the concept of Jihad in early Islam, Hazrat
Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
"A charge that is often levelled at Islam is that it was
spread violently by the sword. This allegation is
completely unfounded and indeed nothing could be
further from the truth. All of the wars fought during the
life of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and the
four rightly guided Caliphs who succeeded him, were
entirely defensive in nature, where war had been forced
upon them."
Referring to the false portrayal of the Holy Prophet of
Islam (peace be upon him) amongst segments of the
non-Muslim world, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
"Even here in Denmark, some years ago, there were
the Holy Quran and assesses the life of the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him} through a
lens of justice. rather than through a lens of prejudice,
they will soon realize that Islam is a religion of peace.
They will realize that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon
him) desired peace with every fibre of his being."
The Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community stated
that during the era of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon
him) and his fourrightly guided successors (Caliphs)
the rights of all people were protected regardless of
religion or belief.
Citing the period of Hazrat Umar, the Second Khalifa
(Caliph) of Islam, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
informed that the Christians of Syria preferred to live
under Muslim rule as opposed to the Roman Empire,
knowing full well that Muslims would uphold and
protect their rights.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad also spoke of how the
Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) once
rebuked a very close companion for offending the
feelings of a Jew by claiming that the Founder of Islam
was of a higher status to the Prophet Moses (peace be
upon him).
cartoons printed that sought to ridicule the Founder of
Islam (peace be upon him) and to portray him. God
forbid, as an imperialistic leader and belligerent
warmonger. This unjust portrayal of the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) defies history and
defies the truth. The reality was that the Holy Prophet
(peace be upon him} was forever enslaved by his
determination to establish peace and the rights of
humanity."
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued: "If one reads
Referring to this incident, Hazrat Mirza Masroor
Ahmad said:
·rhis teaching of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him}
was extremely profound and the basis for establishing
peace between the people of different faiths and
beliefs. However today, we see that in the name of
freedom of expression, prophets and saintly figures are
routinely mocked and ridiculed, even though there are
millions of people who follow their teachings and who
cannot bear to see them derided in this manner."

Frida Sermon on Im ortance of Salat
Excerpts from the Friday sermon of His Holiness Khalifa tul Masih (V), may
Allah be his helper (April 15, 2016)
How does one fulfill the purpose of worship of Ciod?
Islam commands five daily Prayers for this. A Hadith relates that
Salat is the core of worship of God. We are fortunate to have
accepted the Imam of the age who taught us the correct ways of
worship of God, and gave us the wisdom into the requisite of
worship. He repeatedly drew attention of his Jama'at to this
matter in detail so that we would understand its significance
and would adorn our worship of God.
God states that He has created man and woman as a couple and has placed delight in their
relationship. If procreation was the only objective here, the purpose would not have been
fulfilled. God has placed delight for men and women in it. God willed to create human beings
and for this He made a connection between man and woman and made it pleasurable, although
this became the sole purpose for some foolish. It should be understood in the same vein that
there is no burden and Levy in worship of God.
The Promised Messiah(as) said that it is important to offer Salatwhile being mindful of its
words as well as being mindful of the physical state in which it is offered. Words of Salat
correspond with its different postures. The posture when one stands up in Salat and glorifies
and praises God is called qiyyam [this Urdu word can also signify 'to establish']. The appropriate
position to submit glorification and praise is indeed in a standing posture.
One reason people give up Salat is also this that when
man turns to others besides God his heart and soul is also
drawn to that source just as branches of a shrub or tree
are trained to grow in a certain direction.
His heart develops severity towards God and makes him
stony and cold and he cannot change his direction and his
heart and soul grow distant from God by the day.
This is a dangerous and frightening matter that man
should Leave God and seek from another.
The Promised Messiah(as) said that unless a person
completely abides by Unity of God he cannot have Love
and greatness of Islam instilled in him. And he cannot
attain delight and pleasure in Salat. It is all dependent
that unless bad, impure intentions and wicked scheming
are not incinerated, arrogance and conceit will not be
removed in order to attain humility and humbleness. In
such instance a person cannot be called a true servant of
God, for the best teacher and most excellent means to
impart perfect devotion is Salat alone. (Friday Sermon
THE EXCELLENT
EXEMPLAR
MUHAMMAD (may peace
THE PROPHET'S PRECEPTS
ABOUT WAR
Muslim teaching, however, does not
consist only of precepts Laid down
in the Qur'an. It also includes the
precepts and example of the
Prophet (sa). What he did or what he
taught in concrete situations is also
an essential part of the Islamic
teaching. We append here some
sayings of the Prophet (sa) on the
subject of war and peace.
1. Muslims are forbidden
altogether to mutilate the dead (Muslim).
2. Muslims are forbidden to resort to
cheating (Muslim).
3. Children are not to be killed, nor women
(Muslim).
4. Priests and religious functionaries and
religious Leaders are not to be interfered
with (Tahavi).
5. The old and
decrepit and
women and
children are
not to be
killed. The
possibility of peace should always be kept
in view (Abu Dawud).
6. When Muslims enter enemy territory, they
should not strike terror into the general
population. They should permit no
ill-treatment of common folk (Muslim).
7. A Muslim army should not camp in a place
where it causes inconvenience to the
general public. When it marches it should
take care not to block the road nor cause
discomfort to other wayfarers.
8. No disfigurement of face is to be
permitted (Bukhari and Muslim).
9. The Least possible Losses should be
inflicted upon the enemy (Abu Dawud).
10. When prisoners of war are put under
guard, those closely related should be
placed together {Abu Dawud).
11. Prisoners should Live in comfort. Muslims
should care more for the comfort of their
prisoners than for their own (Tirmidhi).
12. Emissaries and delegates from other
countries should be
held in great
respect. Any
mistakes or
discourtesies they
commit should be
ignored (Abu
Dawud).
13. If a ~uslim commits the sin of ill-treating
a pnsoner of war, atonement is to be
made by releasing the prisoner without
ransom.
14. When a Muslim takes charge of a prisoner
of war, the Latter is to be fed and clothed
in the same way as the Muslim himself
(Bukhari).
The Holy Prophet (sa) was so insistent on these
rules for a fighting army that he declared that
whoever did not observe these rules, would fight
not for God but for his own mean self (Abu
Dawud).
FINANCIAL SACRIFICES IN ISLAM
11
Who is it that will Lend Allah a goodly Loan that He may multiply it for him manifold? And Allah
receives and enlarges, and to Him shall you be made to return." (2:246)
11
Those who spend their wealth by night and day, secretly and openly, have their reward with their
Lords; on them shall come no fear, nor shall they grieve. 11 (2:275)
11
You cannot attain to righteousness unless you spend out of that which you Love; and whatever
you spend, Allah surely knows it well. 11 (3:93)
What did the Holy Prophet (SAW) say about financial sacrifice?
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (ra) relates that the Holy Prophet (sa) said:
11
A man was walking through a waterless piece of Land. The sky was clouded and he heard a voice
coming from the cloud saying: 'O cloud, irrigate the garden of so and so. 'Upon this the cloud
moved to a certain direction and rained upon a rocky plateau. The water ran through small
rivulets. The man followed a rivulet until it entered a garden and he saw the owner of the garden
working with a shovel and distributing the water to his plants. He asked the owner of the garden:
'O servant of Allah! What is your name?' He told him his name, which was the same that he has
heard from the cloud. The owner of the garden then asked him, 'O servant of Allah! Why did you
ask my name?' He replied, I heard a voice from the cloud, saying, 'Irrigate the garden of so and so';
May I know what you do to your garden to become worthy of such favour.' He said; 'Since you
have asked me, I will tell you. When the produce of this garden is ready, I give one third of the
produce away in charity, keep one third for myself and my family, and use the remaining third in
sowing and raising another crop in the garden." (Sahih Muslim Kitabul Zahad)
