PREPARING FOR NEGOTIATION MEETINGS Thorough preparation is key to successful negotiation and Mintec DG8 offers a range of tools that may be used. The main tool is indexing which will show a percentage change since any point in time that you specify. Typically the start of a contract is the start of the index and we can see how the raw material price has changed over that contract term. We can use the series statistics to ascertain the average change over the contract period and compare that to the actual contract price. These can all be displayed graphically to present your negotiating stance in one place. < contents
