Come in and use our Learning Resource Centre. Everyone on a course or apprenticeship is welcome. You will find that the LRC has a helpful, friendly team of staff who are always ready to lend a hand and offer advice. Our LRC provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for your information, computing, study and coursework presentation requirements, in a flexible learning environment with individual and group study work areas. These facilities are well equipped and incorporate a wide variety of different types of learning resources such as books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, online electronic resources and the Internet. Additionally, there is a good range of mobile technology to support your learning including tablets, laptops, voice recorders and video and still cameras, which are all available to loan. GYM Any student can access the gym based in Victoria Hall where you can use a fantastic range of equipment to get fit. You will need to undergo an induction to ensure you know how to use equipment safely and then, whether you want to build muscle or tone up, you are good to go! SEED LIBRARY Sowing the seeds in Saltaire The Learning Resource Centre Seed Library is now up and running. Shipley College students and staff can now take seeds for use at home, A range of flower, vegetable and herb seeds are available due to a very kind donation by Suttons Seeds. You can either take the seeds you would like away with you or complete a Seed Library request sheet and return to the LRC. Happy planting! 6
