Last year over 7000 people flocked from across the UK to<br />

Romney Marsh. From 7 to 17 <strong>July</strong>, JAM on the Marsh returns<br />

with a dazzling multi-arts festival to include numerous concerts,<br />

exhibitions, talks and master-classes, children’s events, poetry<br />

recitals and a Marsh churches tour. BBC Radio 3 will be<br />

broadcasting the BBC Singers concert with Dame Janet Suzman<br />

and children can enjoy a performance of Roald Dahl’s Revolting<br />

Age-old intrigue...<br />

A fine oil painting of Firle Beacon will be just one<br />

of the many fabulous treasures going on sale at an<br />

exciting new event, The Firle Place Antiques Fair.<br />

Taking place in the historic setting of the 18th<br />

Century Riding School on 1 to 3 <strong>July</strong>, the fair will be<br />

a major event for anyone with an interest in antiques,<br />

fine art, collector’s items and decorative accessories.<br />

provided by four experts, and refreshments will be<br />

Wild abandon...<br />

Perfect for busy bees and laid back ladybirds alike,<br />

this Summer’s Forest School offered by Kent High<br />

Weald will keep your little ones entertained. Suitable<br />

for those aged 7-12 years, children can learn how<br />

to build a fire, have fun building dens, whittling,<br />

cooking and making nature inspired arts and crafts.<br />

The money raised goes towards providing Forest<br />

Schools for children who would otherwise not be<br />

Moonlight melodies...<br />

Leeds Castle will once again play host to another<br />

fabulous summer open-air classical concert. As well<br />

as an extraordinary line-up of talented musicians,<br />

the audience will be treated to a spectacular air<br />

display from Headcorn’s very own Aero Legends,<br />

as a 1940s Spitfire takes to the skies. As this year’s<br />

host, Aled Jones will be introducing classical<br />

favourites along with John Williams’ most iconic<br />

Taking centre stage at this year’s Kent County<br />

Show will be the huge food marquee, cheese and<br />

wine tent, the brand new beer and cider festival<br />

activities, workshops and displays will be running<br />

Weird weekend...<br />
