ASPIRE... TO INQUIRE
Welcome to the 2016 ANPD Annual Convention. What a wonderful
opportunity to gain the insight and the tools to Aspire to Inquire! The
convention provides an opportunity to reenergize yourself and your practice.
The convention offers tracks for the novice to the expert, so there is
something for every nursing professional development (NPD) practitioner.
The education tracks offered include leadership, research and evidencebased
practice, collaborative partnerships, career development, precepting, nursing
professional development, technology and simulation. Select from the pre-convention
workshops and the concurrent sessions to create your own personalized schedule. The
sessions are designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to become a leader in
nursing professional development.
The general sessions and featured speakers are sure to appeal to all NPD practitioners – from
novice to expert. In addition, the convention offers great networking opportunities to learn
from your peers and share the great work you are doing in your own practice. You don’t want to
miss the more than 100 wonderful posters! Don’t forget to visit the exhibit hall to learn about
the newest products. The contacts made at the convention provide excellent resources and can
turn into lifelong collaborative friendships.
While enjoying the ANPD Annual Convention, take a little time to venture out and see all that
Pittsburgh has to offer.
I look forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh and invite you to join in the journey to Aspire to Inquire.
