connected to the land, whether during the<br />
rain and fertility season or in times of drought<br />
and scorching heat. Such a connection<br />
helped create substantially solid family and<br />
social ties within the <strong>Saudi</strong> Arabian society,<br />
an important way of life that still continues<br />

The Kingdom of <strong>Saudi</strong> Arabia is located<br />
in a geographic area that enabled it to<br />
develop vast cultural ties with other ancient<br />
civilizations throughout history. In ancient<br />
times, man settled in the Arabian Peninsula,<br />
most of which is now occupied by <strong>Saudi</strong><br />
Arabia. Over 11,000 archeological sites<br />
have been discovered and registered in <strong>Saudi</strong><br />
Arabia, in addition to the discovery of several<br />
archeological evidences that reassures the<br />
existence of an ancient civilization within the<br />
<strong>Saudi</strong> land. Moreover, settlements that date<br />
back to the ancient Stone Age and sites dating<br />
back to pre-Islam and modernism eras were<br />
also discovered on the Arabian Peninsula.<br />
