In 1982, an accomplished stone master climber
designed the iconic G-Climbing Pant and Short.
It’s engineered gusset crotch and one hand, easy
cinch and release nylon belt/buckle system created
what are now the archetypes of design and
function for climbing and outdoor activity. But
the soul of the brand came from something more.
The very first production of G-pants and shorts
were un-dyed white - dirtbaggers / rock climbers
and surfers alike took these blank canvases
home and RIT dyed their G’s in whatever colors
that expressed their independent personalities
ENVIRONMENT
Deeply committed to greener manufacturing, Gramicci
continues to research and adopt new standards
of manufacturing that reduce its impact on the environment.
Its organic products have received certification
from GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OE
Blended (Organic Exchange for blended fabrics) and
OE 100 (Organic Exchange for all organic fabrics). As
an ongoing environmental and social initiative, in 2007
Gramicci introduced Start Somewhere. Found on
