Sponsor a Youth

For as little as $1,000 your gift can immediately start the journey to end the cycle of

homelessness. It provides a youth a safe place, life and social skills training, access to

education, employment, income and housing opportunities, and general and mental

health services.

Sponsor a Senior

For as little as $1,000 you can give a gift of hope and dignity to a homeless senior;

ensuring they move from homeless to housed, from hungry to nourished, and from

isolated to embraced.

Programs & Services

YOUTH SERVICES

Hollyburn Hockey Heroes provides an opportunity for youth-at-risk to play hockey as

an incentive to stay in school.

North Shore Youth Safe House provides emergency housing for homeless youth and

acts as a single point of entry to connect them to much-needed services that can

break the cycle of homelessness.

Youth Transitioning from Care offers specialized support to youth leaving

government care to ensure they successfully transition to adulthood. With

evidence that half of youth in care become homeless, without interventions this

issue will only continue to exasperate our economy.

Life Success Program offers transitional housing to homeless youth, while providing

life skill training and support to find permanent housing. Once graduated, 95%

remain housed and employed.

Wired 4 Success is a “tough-love” employment program for youth with barriers to

employment. The program boasts an 85% success rate for participants to secure

permanent employment.

SENIORS’ SERVICES

Supporting Seniors to Remain Housed prevents homelessness by providing support

to seniors with chronic tenancy issues. Last year 340 evictions were prevented,

keeping 500 seniors housed.

Seniors’ at Housing Risk offers support to seniors who are at imminent risk of

homelessness.

Seniors’ Housing Outreach offers support to homeless seniors in our community.

Seniors’ Safe House offers a safe place for homeless seniors or seniors living in

unsafe or abusive situations

OTHER PROGRAMS

Aboriginal Mental Health Court Outreach Worker provides court support for vulnerable,

North Shore Aboriginal residents with mental health barriers.

Specialized Victim Services supports children and adults who have experienced

domestic violence.

West Vancouver Family Place is a family resource program that offers support and

education to parents and caregivers of preschool children.

Since 2004 Hollyburn Family Services Society has been providing a

continuum of services for homeless seniors and youth, moving at-risk

youth to resilient members of our community, supporting children and

families who have been victims of domestic violence, and providing

education, resources and support to parents and caregivers of young

children to build healthy, happy families.
