Global chat, we would like to
share our moments in GCC with
the other hubs globally, and to
enhance the connection
between the 4 hubs.

Major events for Chinese New Year 2016
Kung Hai Fat Choi! We wish you a better year in the year of monkey!
Our Chinese New Year lunch gathering was happily end on 05February. On that day,
many colleagues dressed up in colour of red to celebrate the festival. All of us had a
wonderful time for being together, and enjoyed the walled- village food. Besides, we
set up a “fai chun” area, that our colleagues can write their own special “fai chun” in
a very creative way. Some of the colleagues drew cartoons on the “fai chun” or even
create a “new” Chinese word with combining the single Chinese word together.

“The tour is great and fruitful for us to have a better understanding to the Hong
Kong International airport.” said by Leo, one of the visitors. Guangzhou staffs will
have the chance to visit the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) after joining the
team for 9 months. In the tour, they have the chance to visit our check in areas,
lounges, transfer desks, departure gates, sky pier, baggage office, and make a last
stop at CX city.
Compare to the Hong Kong base staffs, our Guangzhou team colleagues would not be so familiar with
the Hong Kong international airport. Therefore, the field trip was of great benefit to our CAN colleagues.
After visiting the HKIA, they will have a picture in their mind, such as how the lounge look like, how far
to get to the gate from the departure hall…etc. when next time they talked to the passengers.
During the tour, they also took some leaflets from the information desk, so that they can keep it as a
quick reference when the passengers reached them for HKIA info.

Look at those beautiful smile faces, they are the new joiners of GCC.
Remember to give them a warm welcome when you saw them around in
the office.
