Voorwoord<br />
Foreword<br />
Het zijn spannende tijden. Dat komt<br />
met name omdat we de plek waar we zo<br />
vertrouwd zijn, en afgelopen 12 jaar perfect<br />
ontvangen zijn, gaan verlaten. De <strong>Dutch</strong><br />
<strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> zal dit jaar voor het eerst<br />
plaatsvinden op een nieuwe locatie, namelijk<br />
Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. Graag wil<br />
ik een moment stilstaan bij de gastvrijheid<br />
van de familie Gordijn. Zij hebben veel voor<br />
ons gedaan en maakten veel mogelijk. Daar<br />
willen we ze hartelijk voor bedanken.<br />
Door de komst van Equestrian Centre de<br />
Peelbergen hebben we besloten om daar<br />
onze veilingen te gaan organiseren. Deze<br />
hypermoderne accommodatie geeft ons alle<br />
ruimte en mogelijkheden zodat we hier nog<br />
in lengte van jaren kunnen doorgroeien.<br />
De organisatie is er weer in geslaagd een<br />
fantastisch mooie collectie paarden bij<br />
elkaar te brengen. Net als vorig jaar bevat<br />
de collectie naast vierjarigen, veel vijf- en<br />
zesjarige springpaarden. De reden hiervoor<br />
is dat deze paarden al dichter bij de<br />
internationale sport zijn. Dit hebben we ons<br />
een aantal jaren geleden als doel gesteld.<br />
Ik wens iedereen een fantastische veiling<br />
toe. Namens het voltallige team hopen wij<br />
jullie allemaal te zien in Kronenberg.<br />

These are exciting times. This is mainly<br />
because we are venturing out of the location<br />
that has hosted our auction to perfection over<br />
the past 12 years. This year the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong><br />
<strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> will take place at a new venue,<br />
namely Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. I<br />
would like to reminisce about the hospitality<br />
the Gordijn family has shown us. They have<br />
done a lot for us and have made many things<br />
possible. For which we want to express our<br />
gratitude and thank them.<br />
Due to the build of Equestrian Centre de<br />
Peelbergen we’ve decided to organise<br />
our auctions there. This ultra-modern<br />
accommodation provides us plentiful space<br />
and opportunities that enable us to grow in<br />
the years to come.<br />
The organization has managed to put<br />
together a fabulous collection of beautiful<br />
horses. Just like last year the collection<br />
contains four year olds, as well as many<br />
five and six year old jumpers. The reason<br />
for this is that these horses are closer to the<br />
international sport, which is a goal we’ve set<br />
for ourselves a few years ago.<br />
I wish everyone a great auction. On behalf<br />
of the entire team we hope to see you all in<br />

Emile, Paul, Timothy & Michel Hendrix<br />
De familie Hendrix runt één van de bekendste<br />
en meest succesvolle spring- en<br />
handelsstallen van de wereld. Door hun<br />
betrokkenheid en kennis van getalenteerde<br />
paarden hebben zij in de paardenhandel<br />
een wereldwijde klantenkring opgebouwd.<br />
Paul streeft naar perfectie en hij heeft er<br />
oog voor om de beste jonge paarden op te<br />
sporen. Samen met de ruiterervaring van<br />
Emile voelen zij samen feilloos aan wat<br />
een sportpaard in zijn of haar mars heeft.<br />
Dit jaar zijn Timothy, zoon van Emile, en<br />
Michel, zoon van Paul, officieel toegetreden<br />
tot de selectiecommissie. Dankzij hun<br />
sportervaring, ruitergevoel en jarenlange<br />
betrokkenheid bij de veiling zijn zij een perfecte<br />
aanvulling op de commissie. Voor de<br />
<strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> zullen deze hippische<br />
ondernemers zich vol overgave inzetten<br />
voor de beste selectie van de jonge<br />
springpaarden. Met DSHS kunnen zij hun<br />
klantenkring in een perfecte ambiance<br />
een goed samengestelde collectie jonge<br />
springpaarden presenteren.<br />
Yves Houtackers<br />
Na ruim 12,5 jaar werkzaam te zijn geweest<br />
bij Equestrian Center ‘De IJzeren<br />
Man’ te Weert, is Yves in 2007 zijn eigen<br />
hippische onderneming gestart: Springstal<br />
Yves Houtackers B.V. Hij heeft zijn ervaring<br />
en kennis mede opgedaan bij de Zweedse<br />
top-amazone Malin Baryard en de Duitser<br />
Marcus Ehning. Inmiddels is Yves zelf succesvol<br />
in de springsport en traint hij een<br />
groot aantal internationale ruiters. Sinds<br />
2014 is Yves ook directeur sportief bij het<br />
CHIO Rotterdam. Voor de ontwikkeling van<br />
de <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> is het van be-<br />

The Hendrix family runs one of the best<br />
known and most successful show jumping<br />
and trading yards in the world. Through<br />
their knowledge of talented horses and<br />
their involvement they have built up a<br />
worldwide clientele in horse trading. Paul<br />
strives for perfection and has an eye for<br />
scouting the best young horses. Along<br />
with Emile’s experience as a top rider together<br />
they flawlessly sense whether or not<br />
a sport horse has what it takes. This year<br />
Emile’s son Timothy and Paul’s son Michel<br />
have officially joined the selection committee.<br />
Thanks to their experience in the sport,<br />
aptitude for show jumping and years of involvement<br />
in the auction they are a perfect<br />
addition to the committee. For the <strong>Dutch</strong><br />
<strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> these equine entrepreneurs<br />
work diligently to select the best<br />
young show jumpers. With the DSHS they<br />
are able to present their customers a well<br />
composed collection of young show jumpers<br />
in a perfect setting.<br />
Yves Houtackers<br />
After 12.5 years of employment at<br />
Equestrian Center ‘De IJzeren Man’ in Weert,<br />
Yves started his own equestrian business<br />
in 2007: Springstal Yves Houtackers B.V.<br />
He gained experience and knowledge working<br />
with Swedish top rider Malin Baryard<br />
and German Marcus Ehning. Meanwhile<br />
Yves himself is successful in show jumping<br />
and he trains a large number of international<br />
riders. Since 2014 Yves is also the<br />
sports director of the CHIO Rotterdam. For<br />
the development of the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong><br />
<strong>Sales</strong> it is important that a rider like Yves<br />
shares responsibility for the selection of<br />

hengst Contendros die onder de Mexicaan<br />

uitkomt. Hilton beschikt over uitstekende<br />
rijkwaliteiten en een zeer lichtvoetige manier<br />
van springen - kenmerken waardoor ook<br />
grootvader Carolus II opviel onder het zadel<br />
van Thomas Voss en Schuyler Riley. Hiltons<br />
grootmoeder Classic Sylt sprong daarnaast<br />
zelf succesvol in de sport en is de halfzus<br />
van Calanda, die internationaal sprong onder<br />
de Braziliaan Pedro Veniss. Dankzij zijn<br />
elegante verschijning en springkwaliteiten<br />
heeft Hilton veel potentie zowel als hunter<br />
als springpaard.<br />
Hilton<br />
The well-modelled gelding Hilton is a<br />
descendant of the talented nine-year-old<br />
stallion Contendros who already competes<br />
at 1.50m level with Mexican rider Andres<br />
Azcarraga. Hilton shows excellent riding<br />
qualities and a very light-footed way of<br />
jumping; the same traits that made his<br />
grandfather Carolus II, ridden by Thomas<br />
Voss and Schuyler Riley, stand out. Hiltons<br />
grandmother Classic Sylt was also successful<br />
in the sport and is the half-sister of Calanda<br />
who jumped internationally with Brazilian<br />
rider Pedro Veniss. Thanks to his elegant<br />
appearance and beautiful jumping manners<br />
Hilton has a lot of potential both as a hunter<br />
and as a show jumper.<br />

Corragio is zonder twijfel één van de<br />
eyecatchers van deze editie van de <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong><br />
<strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>. Deze exceptioneel springende<br />
vierjarige hengst is Oldenburgs gefokt en<br />
verdiende in Polen tevens zijn dekbrevet. Met<br />
de sterk verervende Conthargos als vader en<br />
de Carthago-zoon Tjungske als moedersvader<br />
beschikt Corragio over al een uitstekende<br />
pedigree, maar vergeet daarbij vooral Balou<br />
du Rouet, Cruising en Quidam de Revel niet.<br />
Deze stempelhengsten komen verderop in<br />
Corragio’s afstamming voor. Als springpaard<br />
behoeft Corragio nauwelijks toelichting: hij<br />
springt als een droom en laat zich fantastisch<br />
rijden! De DSHS-selectiecommissie omschrijft<br />
Corragio dan ook als een absolute topper voor<br />
de toekomst.<br />
Corragio<br />
Without a doubt Corragio is one of the eyecatchers<br />
of this edition of the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong><br />
<strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>. He is and exceptional four-yearold<br />
Oldenburg-bred jumper who received his<br />
license as a breeding stallion in Poland. With<br />
the strong progenitor Conthargos as his<br />
father and the Carthago-son Tjungske as the<br />
mother’s father Corragio has an excellent<br />
pedigree, including non-other than the<br />
foundation sires Balou du Rouet, Cruising<br />
and Quidam. As a jumping prospect Corragio<br />
doesn’t need much illustration: he jumps like<br />
a dream and is a fantastic ride! The DSHS<br />
selection committee describes Corragio as<br />
an absolute highlight for the future.<br />

De Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve-zoon Haufóm<br />
viel op in de Stal Hendrix-competitie en werd<br />
daarom door Stal Hendrix overgenomen van<br />
zijn fokker. De pedigree van Haufóm gaat<br />
terug op de bekende merrie Olympic, die<br />
onder Rob Ehrens op internationaal niveau<br />
sprong. Uit de rechtstreekse moederlijn van<br />
Haufóm komt onder meer Larone, die als<br />
zesjarige wereldkampioen werd in Lanaken<br />
onder het zadel van Mathijs van Asten.<br />
Ook kwamen Haufóms moeder Utopia en<br />
grootmoeder Macha succesvol uit in de<br />
springsport. Haufóm zelf valt - net als veel<br />
Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve-nakomelingen -<br />
op door zijn enorme vermogen. Gezien zijn<br />
eigen kwaliteiten en die van zijn rechtstreekse<br />
familieleden is Haufóm een paard met heel<br />
veel mogelijkheden voor de toekomst.<br />
Haufóm<br />
The Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve-son Haufóm<br />
stood out at the ‘Stal Hendrix’ competition<br />
and was therefore purchased by Stal<br />
Hendrix from his breeder. Haufóm’s pedigree<br />
goes back to the famous mare Olympic,<br />
who jumped at international level with Rob<br />
Ehrens. From the immediate damline of<br />
Haufóm descend among others Larone,<br />
who became world champion of the sixyear-olds<br />
in Lanaken ridden by Mathijs van<br />
Asten. Haufóms dam Utopia and his grand<br />
dam Macha were also successful in show<br />
jumping. Haufóm himself - like many of the<br />
Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve-offspring - stands<br />
out with his enormous jumping ability. Given<br />
his own qualities and those of his immediate<br />
relatives, Haufóm is a horse with a lot of<br />
potential for the future.<br />

Hardy is een vrij jeugdige zoon van de<br />
olympische springhengst Verdi uit een<br />
moederlijn waar de <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong><br />
<strong>Sales</strong> al vele successen mee boekte.<br />
Hardy is nauwverwant aan het succesvolle<br />
DSHS-springpaard T Sellie, die op het<br />
hoogste niveau succesvol was onder Joy<br />
Lammers, en aan het tot Witch omgedoopte<br />
veilingpaard W.Sellie, die onder Emily Ward<br />
internationaal wordt uitgebracht. Hardy’s<br />
moeder V.Sellie is daarbij een dochter van<br />
Christine McCrea’s succespaard Vegas en<br />
bracht al het internationale toptalent Erka van<br />
Joy Lammers. Hardy is vanwege zijn jonge<br />
leeftijd nog vrij groen, maar valt op door zijn<br />
goede rijkwaliteiten en uitstekende model.<br />
Zijn extra springmanieren, lichtvoetigheid en<br />
reflexen maken Hardy zeer interessant.<br />
Hardy<br />
Hardy is a still fairly youthful son of the Olympic<br />
show jumping stallion Verdi from a damline<br />
that has been very successful in the <strong>Dutch</strong><br />
<strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> on many occasions. Hardy is<br />
closely related to the successful DSHS jumper<br />
T Sellie, who did very well at the highest level<br />
with Joy Lammers, and to another auction<br />
horse W.Sellie, who was renamed Witch and<br />
is active in the international sport with Emily<br />
Ward. On top of that Hardy’s mother V.Sellie<br />
is a daughter of Christine McCrea’s success<br />
horse Vegas and produced the international<br />
top talent Erka, ridden by Joy Lammers. Due to<br />
his young age Hardy is still quite green, but he<br />
stands out with his very good riding qualities<br />
and excellent type. His extraordinary jumping<br />
manners, light-footedness and reflexes make<br />

Gonique DN is een dochter van de KWPNgoedgekeurde<br />
hengst Bustique, die na een<br />
succesvolle internationale carrière onder<br />

Verenigde Staten. Gonique DN komt daarbij<br />
uit een ijzersterke moederlijn, waar onder<br />
meer de veelbelovende hengst Grandorado<br />
TN van Willem Greve uit voortkomt en<br />
Gonique’s halfbroer Damaskus DN die op<br />
1,40m-niveau uitkomt. Stammerrie Trix stond<br />
aan de basis van vele goedgekeurde hengsten<br />

viel op in de Stal Hendrix-competitie door<br />
haar correcte manier van springen en ging<br />
daarom als nummer twee van het klassement<br />

Gonique DN is a daughter of the KWPN<br />
approved stallion Bustique, who was exported<br />
to the USA after a successful international<br />
career with Michel Hendrix. Gonique DN<br />
comes from a very strong damline, which<br />
includes horses such as Willem Greve’s<br />
promising stallion Grandorado TN and<br />
Gonique’s half-brother Damaskus DN, who<br />
jumps at 1.40m level. Foundation mare<br />
Trix produced many approved stallions and<br />
international jumpers. Gonique DN made<br />
heads turn in the Stal Hendrix competition<br />
by her correct way of jumping and placed<br />
second in de preliminary rounds leading<br />

moederlijn. Deze dochter van stempelhengst<br />
Cantos komt uit de Lux-merrie Total Touch,<br />
die onder meer het Grand Prix-springpaard<br />

en Dide van Anouk de Ruijter voortbracht.<br />
Daarnaast gaat de pedigree van Gitania via<br />
de 1,40m-geklasseerde merrie Ipsy DWJ en<br />

Gitania comes from an extremely successful<br />
damline. She is by the foundation sire<br />
Cantos and out of Lux-daughter Total Touch,<br />
who is also the mother of Grand Prix show<br />
jumper Bardolino, ridden by the Japanese<br />
Reiko Takeda, and Dide, ridden by Anouk<br />
de Ruijter. Through the 1.40m jumping<br />
mare Ipsy DWJ and the successful Dide the<br />
pedigree of Gitania goes back to the wellknown<br />
international jumping mare Wiefke,<br />

springreflexen heeft hij doorgegeven aan<br />
Garbrant RT. Op de KWPN Hengstenkeuring<br />
sprak deze vos aan met zijn geweldige<br />
springtalent en werd hij aangekocht door Stal<br />
Hendrix. Garbrant blijkt te beschikken over<br />
een top instelling en geweldige rijkwaliteiten.<br />
Garbrant komt voort uit de beroemde Baliastam,<br />
die al talloze Grand Prix-springpaarden<br />

Garbrant RT is a five year old son of the<br />
extremely popular stallion Carrera VDL from<br />
the famous Balia lines. With Jur Vrieling the<br />
Cardento son Carrera VDL really stands out<br />
and he has passed his amazing reflexes<br />
on to Garbrant RT. At the KWPN stallion<br />
show this chestnut appealed with his strong<br />
talent for jumping and was purchased by<br />
Stal Hendrix. Garbrant has a great attitude<br />
and ditto riding qualities. Garbrant comes<br />
from the famous Balia-line, which produced<br />
numerous Grand Prix show jumpers and his<br />
KWPN approved half-brother Val d’Isere was<br />

Balade de Normandie is a daughter of leading<br />
progenitor Diamant de Semilly - the current<br />

Every horse in the auction is a super jumper<br />
The successful Czech showjumper Emma Augier<br />
de Moussac was brought up in a horse loving<br />
family. “My mom used to ride Grand Prix’s, she<br />
won a lot in Switzerland and France, and my dad<br />
was in racing horses. <strong>Horse</strong>s have always been<br />
around me. My parents put me on a horse when I<br />
was very little, so you can say that I started riding<br />
as a baby. I loved jumping from the start, I hated<br />
dressage.” Luckily for Emma she does not only<br />
love jumping, she has the talent for it as well.<br />
The now 26-years-old has already had many<br />
successes. Amongst others, she is part of<br />
the Czech team that won the Nations Cup in<br />
Budapest (2014) and Linz (2015). She also<br />
competed in the Furusiyya Final in Barcelona<br />
(2015) and participated in the World Equestrian<br />
Games in Normandy (2014). She runs EAM<br />
<strong>Sport</strong>horses in Weert and her horses are stabled<br />
at Vincent Voorn’s Golden Dream Stables<br />
Training. We wondered how she got into contact<br />
with the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>: “That is<br />
actually kind of a funny story. The day of the<br />
auction in 2014 my car broke down and I was<br />
very frustrated. I was not at all in the mood to<br />
ride my horses. Vincent called me and said I had<br />
to come to the auction because they had nice<br />
horses. So I went and Brighton Bay (by Ultimo -<br />
previously called Fulltime Fortuna) came along.<br />
I didn’t know Brighton before the auction but<br />
immediately knew he was a special one. We had<br />
to purchase him.”<br />
Brighton Bay was a lucky coincidence. The<br />
combination has been successful ever since.<br />
For example, they were victorious multiple times<br />
during CSI Valkenswaard in May and July this<br />
year in the six-year-old classes. Emma: Brighton<br />
is very mature for his age, even though he is still<br />
quite young. He hardly makes any mistakes. That<br />

is so impressive! When he enters the ring, he is<br />
on a mission. Brighton is very brave and when I<br />
enter a spooky ring, he never even looks. When I<br />
go fast in the jump-off he naturally backs me up,<br />
I can really trust him. He is extremely smart and<br />
easy to ride, those are his biggest qualities.”<br />
Emma has big plans for Brighton Bay. “I am<br />
going to try to bring him to Lanaken, after that<br />
we will go easy until the Sunshine Tour. He has<br />
the potential to compete on the highest level. He<br />
is full of scope and cool-headed, which are huge<br />
qualities for big competitions.”<br />
Would you advise others to buy horses during the<br />
<strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>? “Yes, I definitely would.<br />
The collection exists of a vast variety of talented<br />
horses. They have hunters and jumpers; there is<br />
a little bit of everything. Many horses sold via the<br />
<strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> compete at high level,<br />
which is a reassuring thing to know when you<br />
want to buy a horse in the auction. One of the<br />
main qualities of the auction is that the selection<br />
commission has an eye for top horses. All the<br />
horses sold via the auction are super jumpers.<br />
For example Fame DVL, he is a fantastic jumper. I<br />
am looking forward to see which horses are part<br />
of the collection this year, I would definitely buy a<br />
horse from the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> again.”<br />

Interview - Vincent Voorn<br />
Top quality sells<br />
In this article we interview Vincent Voorn:<br />
previously a soccer player, Olympic show jumper<br />
(Olympics in Hong Kong 2008) and trainer. Since<br />
three years he runs his own barn together with<br />
Jonna Sundblad in Weert, called GDS Training.<br />
Vincent came by the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong><br />
by coincidence and ended up buying a horse<br />
and ever since he and his customers attend<br />
the auction. Last year one of his students, the<br />
Swedish rider Elina Peterson, bought the most<br />
expensive horse ever sold during the <strong>Dutch</strong><br />
<strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>: Fame DVL (Cardento x<br />
Ahorn). Another talent, Brighton Bay (by Ultimo -<br />
previously called Fulltime Fortuna), was bought in<br />
2014 by his student Emma Augier de Moussac.<br />
Vincent and Jonna run GDS Training successfully.<br />
We asked him about this success: “Our barn<br />
is based on the education of young riders. We<br />
focus on growth and development, and a good<br />
atmosphere is of great importance. Our team is<br />
very close and we enjoy what we do. Isn’t fun the<br />
most important factor in life? To run a successful<br />
stable good horses are necessary. The first buy<br />
at the auction got us hooked: DSHS only offer<br />
high quality horses. I want my customers to be<br />
satisfied, and the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> has<br />
never let me down. Top quality sells, that point is<br />
proven”, says Vincent Voorn.<br />
One of the horses stabled at Vincent’s barn is<br />
Fame DVL, ridden by the Swedish rider Elina<br />
Peterson. “The young duo performed very well<br />
during CSI Valkenswaard and also recently at CSI<br />
Hasselt. Elina and Fame DVL are learning rapidly<br />
and they really seem to have a promising future<br />
ahead of them! In my opinion it is important<br />
that riders know how to build up and educate a<br />
horse. That is not always easy, but nevertheless<br />
necessary if you want to become one of the best.<br />
Besides talent, a good mentality is one of the most<br />
important characteristics of a top jumper. I always<br />
say that a good show jumper has to have a good<br />
mind. They have to be intelligent and cooperative.<br />
Take Brighton Bay for example, he is a very smart<br />
horse! He is one of the most promising young<br />
horses of the barn and he is also a true winner.”<br />
At the moment you are very active as a trainer, do<br />
you also have ambitions in the sport? “Competing<br />
is what I love to do the most. Together with a small<br />
group of owners we have invested in a few of high<br />
quality young horses that we want to bring up to<br />
the highest level of our sport. At the same time as I<br />
educate these horses I have many students under<br />
my guidance. So for me it is very important to<br />
find the right balance between training them and<br />
competing myself.”<br />
Will Vincent attend this year’s auction? “Yes, of<br />
course. One of the main reasons why I purchase<br />
horses during the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> is<br />
that when I buy a horse there I feel good about<br />
it. I can trust Yves, Emile and Paul’s opinion and<br />
expertise, so I never have a doubt about the quality<br />
of the horses. After discussing with them what my<br />
clients and me are looking for they always advise<br />
me in a good way. When I am out competing I often<br />
come across horses that were sold during the<br />
auction and they perform well all around the world.<br />
And when the auction is approaching, the new<br />
collection is always a hot topic between the riders.”<br />

<strong>Sales</strong> has secured yet another talent from<br />
the successful breeding of the Rinkes-Tjeenk<br />
Willink family for the auction collection.<br />
Previously the Rinkes-Tjeenk Willink family<br />
provided the DSHS collection with Fulltime<br />
Fortuna (now Brighton Bay), who is sold at the<br />
DSHS auction and is now very successful with<br />
Emma Augier de Moussac. Genereux Fortuna<br />
was appointed for the performance test by<br />
the KWPN. This well- modeled grey gelding by<br />
Wizzerd WV was bought at the KWPN Stallion<br />
Show by Stal Hendrix and was henceforth<br />
trained in Ireland. Genereux Fortuna stands<br />
out with his beautiful type and due to his lightfootedness<br />
and effortless power he deserves a<br />

Cardento, die vorig jaar de<br />

<strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> Fame DVL leverde. Falony viel<br />
als driejarige op bij het vrijspringen op de<br />
Nationale Merriekeuring en slaagde met 83,5<br />
punten voor de EPTM-test. Ze is een telg<br />
uit de Molga-stam, die vele internationale<br />
toppaarden leverde waaronder de Olympische<br />
springpaarden The Shinto (Shuichi Toki) en<br />
Linky (Tim Grubb), die in 1984 Olympisch<br />
teamzilver won met Groot-Brittannië. Falony<br />
heeft haar opleiding tot zover bijzonder goed<br />
doorstaan en is klaar voor de volgende stap<br />
in haar carrière. Haar geweldig instelling,<br />
rijdbaarheid en springkwaliteiten voorspellen<br />

Falony is a daughter of jumping talent<br />
supplier Cardento, who provided last year’s<br />
absolute auction hit of the <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong><br />
Sale, Fame DVL. When she was 3 years old<br />
Falony stood out in the free jumping at the<br />
National Mare Show and passed the EPTM<br />
test with 83.5 points. She is a descendant<br />
of the Molga lines, which produced many<br />
international top horses, like the Olympic<br />
horses The Shinto (Shuichi Toki) and Linky<br />

De opvallende merrie Fame DVL<br />
kwam vorig jaar als veilingtopper uit de bus en<br />
stamt eveneens af van de Olympische vererver<br />
Cardento. Moeder Laurette S Z stamt af van<br />
Lord Calando en sprong zelf succesvol in de<br />
sport. Daarnaast bracht ze al de internationale<br />
springpaarden Brandy (Christine Raaholt), Roots<br />

Fifthy-fifthy is the second descendant of the<br />
world famous Cardento in the DSHS collection<br />

top prices auction horse last year and she also<br />
descends from the Olympic sire Cardento. Mother<br />
Laurette S Z is a daughter by Lord Calando and<br />
was successful in the sport herself. In addition,<br />
she produced the international show jumpers<br />
Brandy (Christine Raaholt), Roots and Devlin K<br />

Cherry Tania is one of the trendsetters of the<br />

marked as one of the favorites by the selection<br />
committee. Sire Cellestial is a son of Cantus<br />

other top results placed second in the Grand<br />

Chardonnay is het product van twee legendes uit<br />
de springsport en springpaardenfokkerij. Cumano<br />
sprong onder Jos Lansink naar de wereldtitel<br />
op de Wereldruiterspelen in Aken in 2006 en<br />
hoewel zijn nakomelingen schaars zijn, springen<br />
tientallen op internationaal GP-niveau. Grootvader<br />
For Pleasure won in zijn carrière twee gouden<br />
Olympische teammedailles en mag gerekend<br />
worden tot één van de beste verervers van de<br />
afgelopen decennia. Daarnaast springt zijn moeder<br />

Chardonnay is the outcome of two legends of<br />
show jumping and breeding. Cumano jumped<br />
with Jos Lansink to the world title at the World<br />
Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006 and although<br />
his descendants are very scarce, dozens of them<br />
jump at international Grand Prix level. In his career<br />
Grandfather For Pleasure won two Olympic gold<br />
team medals and should be considered as one of<br />

<strong>Horse</strong> Insurance aanwezig om u de mogelijkheid<br />
te bieden om uw aangekochte paard te<br />
verzekeren tot 13 dagen na de veiling. U heeft<br />
daarbij de keuze uit verschillende verzekeringen.<br />
Veterinaire rapporten<br />
De paarden die via de veiling verkocht zullen<br />
worden zijn ten laatste 3 maanden voorafgaande<br />
aan de veiling röntgenologisch in orde bevonden.<br />
Een gebruikelijke klinische (sportpaarden-)<br />
keuring heeft ten laatste twee weken vóór de<br />
veiling plaatsgevonden.<br />

Insurance<br />

purchased. It is possible to insure the horse(s)<br />
for up to 13 days after the auction, with an option<br />

Veterinary reports<br />
The horses sold through the auction have been<br />
found to be in good condition following a radiographic<br />
test conducted at least three months<br />
prior to the auction. A standard clinical examination<br />
(for sport horses) has been completed at<br />
the latest two weeks prior to the auction.<br />

1. Algemeen<br />
1.1 De <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> [danwel Hendrix<br />
Events B.V., zaakdoende onder de naam<br />
<strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>] (hierna zowel afzonderlijk<br />
als gezamenlijk te noemen: DSHS),<br />
organiseert in haar functie van bemiddelaar<br />
tussen verkoper en koper op 20 september<br />
<strong>2016</strong> de <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> (hierna<br />
te noemen: de veiling) op de accommodatie<br />
van Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen te<br />
Kronenberg. De veiling zal plaatsvinden onder<br />
toezicht van een notaris.<br />
1.2 Deze veilingvoorwaarden zijn van toepassing<br />
op alle tijdens de veiling gesloten<br />
koopovereenkomsten met betrekking tot via<br />
DSHS aangeboden paarden, alsmede alle<br />
overeenkomsten die daaruit voortvloeien.<br />
1.3 Op deze overeenkomsten en op deze veilingvoorwaarden<br />
is Nederlands recht van toepassing,<br />
met algehele uitsluiting van toepasselijkheid<br />
van het Weens Koopverdrag (CISG).<br />
1.4 Deze voorwaarden worden vóór aanvang<br />
van de veiling bekend gemaakt en zijn in de<br />
veilingcatalogus opgenomen.<br />
2. Verkoop/Veiling<br />
Tijdens de veiling zullen de paarden onder het zadel<br />
voorgesteld worden. De paarden zullen<br />
tijdens de veiling per opbod in Euro’s worden<br />
verkocht, tenzij anders aangegeven, met een minimale<br />
inzet van € 20.000,-. Er wordt geboden in<br />
bedragen van € 1.000,- tot € 50.000,-, vervolgens<br />
in bedragen van € 2.000,- tot € 100.000,- en daarboven<br />
in bedragen van € 5.000,-.<br />
Een potentiële bieder/koper zal aan zijn/haar bod<br />
worden gehouden, totdat een eventueel hoger<br />
bod volgt. Krijgt de koper de afslag door de veilingmeester<br />
toegewezen dan is die betreffende<br />
1. General<br />
1.1 The <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> Foundation<br />
[also known as Hendrix Events BV, trading under<br />
the name <strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong>] (hereinafter<br />
individually and collectively referred<br />
to as: DSHS), organises in its function as an<br />
intermediary between sellers and buyers the<br />
<strong>Dutch</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Sales</strong> (hereinafter: the<br />
auction) on the 20th September <strong>2016</strong> on the<br />
property of Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen<br />
in Kronenberg in the Netherlands. The auction<br />
will be held under the supervision of a<br />
notary.<br />
1.2 These auction terms and conditions are applicable<br />
to all sales agreements concluded<br />
during the auction related to the horses offered<br />
via DSHS, as well as any agreements<br />
resulting from that.<br />
1.3 The agreement(s) and terms and conditions<br />
of this auction which are referred to therein<br />
are governed by <strong>Dutch</strong> law. The applicability<br />
of the Vienna <strong>Sales</strong> Convention (CISG) is explicitly<br />
excluded.<br />
1.4 These terms and conditions are to be announced<br />
prior to the start of the auction and<br />
are also included in the auction <strong>catalogue</strong>.<br />
2. Sale/Auction<br />
During the auction horses will be presented under<br />
saddle. The horses will be sold during the<br />
auction by bidding in the Euro currency, unless<br />
otherwise stated, with a minimum starting bid of<br />
€ 20,000.00. Bids are to be made in increments of<br />
€ 1,000.00 at a time up to € 50,000.00, after which<br />
bid increments are to be made in € 2,000.00 at a<br />
time up to € 100,000.00, and above that bid increments<br />
are to be made in € 5,000.00 at a time.<br />
Potential bidders/buyers will be held to their bids<br />

koper verplicht het rekening bedrag te voldoen,<br />
zoals in artikel 3 berekend. In geval van twijfel<br />
betreffende de geldigheid van een afslag, kan het<br />
laatste opbod weer aangenomen worden en zal<br />
het opbieden hervat worden. De notaris beslist<br />
bindend over eventuele geschillen die bij of tijdens<br />
het bieden ontstaan.<br />
3. Afrekening veilingbedrag en -kosten<br />
3.1 Direct na afloop van de veiling dient de koper<br />
zijn/haar betalingsverplichtingen te vervullen<br />
op het veilingbureau. Indien de koper<br />
hieraan niet voldoet, is DSHS gerechtigd de<br />
bieding niet te erkennen en ongeldig te verklaren<br />
en het gekochte paard opnieuw te veilen,<br />
dan wel het gekochte paard toe te wijzen<br />
aan de een na hoogste bieder. De koper is in<br />
dat geval van rechtswege in verzuim en is<br />
gehouden de daardoor veroorzaakte schade<br />
aan DSHS te vergoeden, onverminderd de<br />
overige rechten van DSHS.<br />
3.2 Het rekening bedrag wordt als volgt berekend:<br />

1½% verzekering (optioneel) +<br />
Rekening bedrag exclusief<br />
21% Nederlandse omzetbelasting<br />
Het rekening bedrag is per direct opeisbaar.<br />
Betaling geschiedt per bank, het is niet mogelijk<br />
het rekening bedrag in contanten te<br />
voldoen. Verrekening van eventuele tegenvorderingen<br />
is uitgesloten.<br />
3.3 Het is DSHS toegestaan om informatie in te<br />
winnen omtrent de financiële gegoedheid van<br />
een betreffende bieder/koper en deelname aan<br />
de veiling door en het sluiten van een overeenkomst<br />
met de betreffende bieder/koper afhankelijk<br />
te stellen van de ingewonnen informatie.<br />
until a higher bid has been received. If the auctioneer<br />
awards a bid to a buyer, the relevant buyer is<br />
obliged to pay the amount due as defined in Article<br />
3. In case of doubt concerning the validity of a<br />
bid, the previous bid can be accepted again, after<br />
which bidding can resume. In the event of any<br />
disputes arising with or during the bidding process,<br />
the decision of the notary shall be binding.<br />
3. Settlement of auction amounts<br />
and expenses<br />
3.1 Immediately after completion of the auction<br />
buyers are obliged to settle amounts due in<br />
the auction office. If a buyer should fail to<br />
comply with this obligation, DSHS shall be<br />
entitled not to recognise the offer and to declare<br />
the auction invalidate, after which the<br />
purchased horse will again be made available<br />
for auction or alternatively the purchased<br />
horse is to be allocated to the second highest<br />
bidder. The buyer shall in this event be<br />
considered to be in legal default and shall be<br />
liable to compensate DSHS for any damage<br />
incurred, without prejudice to any other<br />
rights that DSHS may have.<br />
3.2 The amount due shall be calculated<br />
as follows:<br />

1½% insurance (optional) +<br />
Invoice amount is exclusive of 21% <strong>Dutch</strong> VAT<br />
The balance shall become payable immediately.<br />
Payment is to be made by bank transfer<br />
and cash payment of the amount shall not<br />
be accepted. Settlement of any counterclaims<br />
is excluded.<br />
3.3 DSHS is entitled to gather information on the<br />
financial situation of a specific bidder/buyer<br />

3.4 Bij afrekening op het veilingbureau bestaat<br />
de mogelijkheid voor de koper om een verzekering<br />
af te sluiten voor het gekochte paard.<br />
Een dergelijke verzekering wordt niet door<br />
DSHS afgesloten.<br />
4. Veilingpaarden; aansprakelijkheid<br />
4.1 De aangeboden paarden in de veiling zijn geïdentificeerd<br />
op afstamming, geslacht, kleur<br />
en geboortejaar, zoals deze in de catalogus<br />
zijn aangegeven. DSHS sluit aansprakelijkheid<br />
uit met betrekking tot de gezondheidstoestand,<br />
de prestaties en/of gebruiksdoeleinden<br />
van de te veilen paarden.<br />
4.2 DSHS is niet aansprakelijk voor schade aan<br />
personen of zaken, ontstaan voorafgaand<br />
aan, ten tijde van en na de veiling, behoudens<br />
indien deze schade het gevolg is van opzet<br />
of bewuste roekeloosheid van DSHS of haar<br />
leidinggevende ondergeschikten.<br />
4.3 De paarden die via de veiling verkocht zullen<br />
worden zijn ten laatste 3 maanden voorafgaande<br />
aan de veiling röntgenologisch in<br />
orde bevonden. Een gebruikelijke klinische<br />
(sportpaarden-)keuring heeft ten laatste<br />
twee weken vóór de veiling plaatsgevonden.<br />
4.4 De veterinaire bevindingen kunnen voorafgaande<br />
aan de veiling op verzoek van de potentiële<br />
koper worden ingezien en toegelicht<br />
door veilingdierenarts E. Enzerink, of zijn<br />
plaatsvervanger.<br />
5. Afgifte, risico- en eigendomsoverdracht<br />
5.1 Direct na de gunning van een paard gaat het<br />
risico met betrekking tot het gekochte paard<br />
over op de koper en zijn alle verantwoordelijkheden<br />
en aansprakelijkheden, alsmede<br />
alle risicofactoren overgedragen aan de<br />

4.1 The horses offered in the auction are identified<br />
by origin, sex, colour and year of birth, as<br />
stated in the <strong>catalogue</strong>. DSHS excludes liability<br />
with regard to health status, the performance<br />
and/or purpose of use of the horses<br />
to be auctioned.<br />
4.2 DSHS cannot be held liable for damage to<br />
persons or property arising prior to, during or<br />
after the auction, except if such damage is<br />
caused by intent or deliberate recklessness<br />
on the part of DSHS or its subordinates.<br />
4.3 The horses sold through the auction have<br />
been found to be in good condition following<br />
a radiographic test conducted at least three<br />
months prior to the auction. A standard clinical<br />
examination (for sport horses) has been<br />
completed at the latest two weeks prior to<br />
the auction.<br />
4.4 Veterinary findings can be provided upon the<br />

5. Release and transfer of risk and ownership<br />
5.1 Immediately after a bid on a horse has been<br />
accepted, any risks related to the purchased<br />

etreffende koper. De koper zal DSHS vrijwaren<br />
voor alle aanspraken van derden ter<br />
zake.<br />
5.2 De eigendom van het gekochte paard gaat<br />
op de koper over op het moment van afname<br />
als bedoeld in artikel 5.3 van deze voorwaarden,<br />
doch niet eerder dan nadat koper de volledige<br />
koopsom en eventuele op grond van<br />
niet-nakoming verschuldigde bedragen aan<br />
DSHS zal hebben voldaan.<br />
5.3 De koper is verplicht het gekochte paard af te<br />
nemen op de door DSHS vastgestelde plaats<br />
en tijd en bij gebreke daarvan binnen de daarvoor<br />
in de veilingcatalogus gestelde termijn,<br />
indien DSHS daarom verzoekt op vertoon<br />
van een deugdelijk legitimatiebewijs. De levering<br />
van het gekochte paard vindt plaats<br />
door de afname. De afname bestaat uit het<br />
door de koper ophalen van het gekochte<br />
paard. De afname kan eerst plaatsvinden nadat<br />
de volledige koopsom en het overigens<br />
verschuldigde door de koper is voldaan.<br />
Indien de koper de afname weigert of nalatig<br />
is met het verstrekken van informatie of<br />
instructies noodzakelijk voor de afname zal<br />
het gekochte paard door DSHS worden weggehaald<br />
en worden gestald voor rekening en<br />
risico van de koper. De koper is in dat geval<br />
verplicht alle aanvullende kosten, waaronder<br />
in ieder geval de stallingskosten, aan DSHS<br />
te vergoeden.<br />
6. Tekortkomingen<br />
(waaronder stalondeugden)<br />
6.1 Indien een koper van oordeel is dat het gekochte<br />
paard na feitelijke levering niet aan<br />
de overeenkomst beantwoordt, kan de koper<br />
hierop geen beroep meer doen indien hij niet<br />
binnen drie weken na ontdekking de verkohorse<br />
shall be transferred to the buyer and<br />
any responsibility and liability, as well as all<br />
risk factors are transferred to the respective<br />
buyer. The buyer shall indemnify DSHS from<br />
any claims brought by third parties.<br />
5.2 Ownership of the purchased horse passes<br />
to the buyer at the time of release as defined<br />
in Article 5.3 of these terms and conditions,<br />
but not before the buyer has settled the full<br />
purchase amount and any other amounts due<br />
to DSHS resulting from non-compliance.<br />
5.3 The buyer is obliged to take possession of<br />
the purchased horse at the place and time as<br />
specified by DSHS, or in the absence thereof,<br />
within the term defined in the auction <strong>catalogue</strong><br />
and upon presentation of a valid identity<br />
document, if requested by DSHS. Delivery of<br />
the purchased horse takes place by means<br />
of its release. Release consists of collection<br />
of the purchased horse by the buyer. Release<br />
may only take place after settlement of the<br />
purchase price in full and any other amount<br />
due by the buyer. If the buyer should refuse<br />
release or if he/she should fail to provide information<br />
or instructions required for the release,<br />
DSHS shall remove the purchased horse and<br />
keep it in stables at the expense and risk of<br />
the buyer. The buyer shall then be obliged to<br />
compensate DSHS for any additional costs<br />
incurred, including stabling costs in any event.<br />
6. Shortcomings (including stable vices)<br />
6.1 If a buyer finds that the horse purchased<br />
does not conform to the contract description<br />
after actual delivery, the buyer shall not<br />
be entitled to any recourse if the seller has<br />
not been informed thereof by registered letter<br />
within three weeks after the discovery<br />
(with a copy to DSHS).<br />

per (met kopie aan DSHS) daarvan in kennis<br />
heeft gesteld per aangetekende brief.<br />
6.2 Verkoper staat ervoor in dat het door de koper<br />
gekochte paard, tenzij voorafgaand aan<br />
de verkoop meegedeeld, niet lijdt aan de stalgebreken<br />
luchtzuigen, systematisch weven<br />
of kribbebijten en wel gedurende een periode<br />
van 2x 24 uur na feitelijke aflevering aan de<br />
koper.<br />
6.3 Indien een dierenarts, geregistreerd als keuringsdierenarts<br />
voor paarden of paardendierenarts,<br />
schriftelijk meedeelt dat één van de<br />
in artikel 6.2 genoemde stalgebreken naar<br />
zijn deskundig oordeel bestond vóór de datum<br />
feitelijke aflevering, heeft de koper het<br />
recht de koopovereenkomst te ontbinden<br />
met alle daaraan verbonden gevolgen.<br />
7. Geschillen<br />
7.1 Alle geschillen - daaronder begrepen die, welke<br />
slechts door één der partijen als zodanig<br />
worden beschouwd - welke naar aanleiding<br />
van de koopovereenkomst gesloten op de<br />
veiling danwel naar aanleiding van deze veilingvoorwaarden<br />
met DSHS ontstaan, worden<br />
beslecht door NAI-arbitrage (Nederlands<br />
Arbitrage Instituut te Rotterdam), danwel in<br />
het geval de koper consument is, op diens<br />
verzoek overeenkomstig het Burgerlijk<br />
Wetboek, door de gewone burgerlijke rechter,<br />
in welk geval in eerste aanleg uitsluitend de<br />
Rechtbank Limburg bevoegd is.<br />
7.2 Indien de verkoper of DSHS een procedure<br />
aanhangig wil maken, zal zij indien de koper<br />
consument is, hem/haar gedurende een<br />
maand in de gelegenheid stellen schriftelijk<br />
zijn/haar keuze als bedoeld in artikel 7.1<br />
hiervoor, kenbaar te maken. In geval van een<br />

6.3 If a veterinarian, registered as an inspection<br />
veterinarian for horses or a horse veterinarian<br />
should state in writing that one of the stable<br />
vices listed in Article 6.2 was established<br />
in his/her expert opinion prior to the date of<br />
actual delivery, the buyer shall be entitled to<br />
terminate the purchase agreement with all<br />
resulting consequences.<br />
7. Disputes<br />
7.1 Any disputes with DSHS - including those<br />
that are considered as such by only one party<br />
- resulting from the purchase agreement<br />
concluded at the auction or following from<br />
these auction terms and conditions, shall be<br />
settled by NAI Arbitration (<strong>Dutch</strong> Arbitration<br />
Institute in Rotterdam), or if the buyer is<br />
a consumer as defined in the <strong>Dutch</strong> Civil<br />
Code, in an ordinary civil court upon his/her<br />
request, in which case only the Court of First<br />
Instance in Limburg shall be entitled to rule<br />
on the matter.<br />
7.2 If the seller or DSHS intends to file proceedings<br />
and if the buyer is considered to be<br />
a consumer, he/she shall be given the opportunity<br />
to announce its decision pertaining to<br />
Paragraph 7.1 in writing within a period of<br />
one month. In the event of an urgent matter<br />
(summary procedure), the seller (casu quo<br />
DSHS) may decide to shorten that period to<br />
five business days.<br />

7.3 Steeds zal DSHS, ingeval sprake is van een<br />

al dan niet, naar haar keuze, op haar<br />
kosten. Gekozen kan worden een dergelijke<br />
mediation te laten plaatsvinden overeenkomstig<br />
het NAI-mediationreglement.<br />
7.3 In the event of a continuing dispute, DSHS<br />
may decide to initiate mediation between<br />
the buyer and the seller, at its own expenses<br />
and of its own free will. Mediation may be undertaken<br />
in accordance with NAI Mediation<br />
Regulations.<br />
