Duxbury Pediatrics | Duxbury, MA
Our team worked with Dr. Joy John of Duxbury Children's Dentistry
on an office expansion to incorporate Dr. Paul Fitzgerald, orthodontist.
The space features several zones, including a comfortable and mature
Parent Zone “the Deck” and a Kid Zone with custom fish tank design
and surf shack millwork with individual iPads for waiting patients and
family. The Business Zone and Treatment Zone both utilize 3-Form Swim
privacy panels to maximize productivity while maintaining functionality,
and the Treatment Zone serves a dual function of general dentistry and
orthodontics. The energetic colors, furniture and finishes throughout each
distinctive zone draw inspiration from a beachside surf shack.

OUR TEAM
JIM KIMBALL, AIA | Principal
A Registered Architect with over 28 years of professional experience, Jim is a proven leader in the retail design industry. Jim
possesses a very thorough understanding of the dynamic relationship between the consumer, the developer and the retailer
and readily applies this knowledge for the benefit of his clients and projects. Jim is also an expert in retail store design,
prototype development and rollout programs. He gained this knowledge from managing planning and design for a number of
retail organizations, including Kohl’s Department Stores, Casual Corner Group, ShopKo Stores and Filene’s Basement.
Jim’s numerous shopping center projects include the Riverway Plaza in Weymouth, MA, The Loop in Kissimmee, FL and
Chantilly Plaza in Chantilly, VA
.
Jim is a thought leader and comments regularly on the trends and issues shaping the retail industry. He is also an active
participant in many trade organizations and has held several public service positions including the Town of Duxbury
Planning Board and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Advisory Board.
Jim is a graduate of the University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude and participated in the
School of Architecture’s extension program in Firenze, Italia. He is NCARB certified and is licensed to practice architecture
in 32 states including the District of Columbia.
JULIE NELLGIAN | Interior Designer
Julie has over 10 years of experience creating vibrant and exciting environments for numerous dental clients. As our resident
dental office design expert, Julie has worked with every one of our clients to understand their goals and design asthetic.
Her unique approach is inclusionary and guides doctors through the design process, where she helps them make informed
decisions.
Julie received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Endicott College and NCIDQ certified.
