Festival der Chormusik
Linz wird heuer im Juni bereits zum dritten
Mal Austragungsort des Internationalen
Anton-Bruckner-Chorwettbewerbs. Das Festival,
das alle zwei Jahre ganz im Zeichen des
großen Komponisten der Spätromantik steht,
bringt ausgezeichnete internationale Chöre
von hoher musikalischer Qualität aus der ganzen
Welt in die Landeshauptstadt. Als ideale
Veranstaltungsorte bieten sich, wie könnte
es anders sein, wieder das Brucknerhaus –
die erste Adresse im Linzer Konzertleben, der
Neue Dom sowie das Stift St. Florian an.
FreundInnen der Chormusik können sich
schon heute auf die Beiträge freuen. Ich
wünsche den VeranstalterInnen vom Förderverein
Interkultur Österreich einen erfolgreichen
Verlauf. Allen TeilnehmerInnen, die
beim Wettbewerb ihr Bestes geben, wünsche
ich alles Gute und einen schönen Aufenthalt
in Linz.
Festival of choral music
This year in June Linz will be venue of the International
Anton Bruckner Choir Competition
for the third time already. This festival,
which is all about this great composer of the
late romanticism every two years, attracts international
top class choirs from all over the
world to the regional capital. Perfect venues
will be again the Brucknerhaus – the prime
address regarding Linz’s concert life, the new
dome as well as the monastery St. Florian.
Enthusiasts of choral music can already start
looking forward to the performances. I wish
the organisers of INTERKULTUR Austria a successful
event and I also wish all participants
who give their best during the competition
good luck and a pleasant stay in Linz.
