Depart <strong>School</strong><br />

Day 1<br />

Arrive at your accommodation in St Ives. If you<br />

have time, why not get your sketch books out and<br />

head to a nearby vista of the Cornish coastline?<br />

Or take a relaxing walk on a local beach.<br />

In the evening take a stroll around St Ives and<br />

enjoy a group evening meal. Or why not have a<br />

pizza party and film night at your accommodation<br />

to get your students relaxed after a long journey?<br />

Day 2<br />

Today is a full day artist day in St Ives with<br />

renowned art educator Greg Humphries. He will<br />

take your group on a guided tour of the amazing<br />

Tate Modern St Ives exploring Modernists for<br />

GCSE or A Level. He will also undertake Beach<br />

Workshops and Sketchbook Tours of St Ives, interspersing<br />

practical work with seminars.<br />

After lunch, visit the Babara Hepworth Museum<br />

to explore this amazing artist including a sculpture<br />

garden and even opportunities for sculptural<br />

practice.<br />

In the evening, enjoy a group evening meal at a<br />

local fish and chip shop (booked exclusively for<br />

your group).<br />

Day 3 Day 4<br />

Today visit the Eden Project for a tour and education<br />

talk to learn about world biomes. You can<br />

also add in a workshop on topics including art.<br />

In the afternoon, visit an iconic Cornish tin mine,<br />

such as Botallack, Heartlands or Wheal Coates to<br />

explore the history and take out sketchbooks and<br />

capture these amazing buildings.<br />

Today visit the Penlee House Gallery & Museum<br />

where you will see some of the best-known<br />

works from the renowned Newlyn <strong>School</strong> such as<br />

The Rain it Raineth Every Day by Norman Garstins.<br />

In the afternoon, head to the beach! Take on a<br />

surf lesson with the St Ives Surf <strong>School</strong>.<br />

In the evening, enjoy a group evening meal at a<br />

local burger bar. Then embark on a guided Ghost<br />

Walk of St Ives (if you dare)!<br />

Day 4<br />

Before heading home, visit the Leach Pottery to learn about the work of Bernard Leach, of the renowned<br />

Leach Pottery, for a hands on workshop.<br />

Following this head home. If you have time, you can always call in on the way home via one of Cornwall’s<br />

other iconic fishing villages, such as Padstow on the North Coast.<br />

Day 1<br />

Upon arrival in the beautiful city of Paris you will visit the famous Louvre Museum. One of the<br />

world’s largest museums and historic monuments, your students will be able to study incredible<br />

Ancient and Western <strong>Art</strong> collections as well as seeing the real Mona Lisa portrait. The Louvre is a<br />

great place to further develop student’s understanding of the art world.<br />

In the evening, your group will enjoy an evening buffet meal at Monte Carlo before checking in to<br />

your hotel.<br />

Day 2<br />

After enjoying breakfast, your group will visit the Museo Picasso. This museum houses an unparalleled<br />

collection of art from Picasso, covering six decades of creativity. Here your students will<br />

be able to develop their knowledge of the work and approach of Picasso’s artwork.<br />

After lunch, you will visit Musee d’Orsay. This museum holds an impressive collection of 19th<br />

century art, including sculptures, furniture and photography. This museum offers a great place<br />

for students to better understand three-dimensional art work.<br />

Once you are finished exploring, you will head to Hard Rock Café for a group evening meal.<br />

Later that evening you will take a trip to the recognisable symbol of Paris – the Eiffel Tower.<br />

Day 3<br />

and early to visit the Pompidou Centre. This<br />
