Suggested Itinerary 

Depart School 

Day 1 

Arrive at your accommodation in St Ives. If you 

have time, why not get your sketch books out and 

head to a nearby vista of the Cornish coastline? 

Or take a relaxing walk on a local beach. 

In the evening take a stroll around St Ives and 

enjoy a group evening meal. Or why not have a 

pizza party and film night at your accommodation 

to get your students relaxed after a long journey? 

Day 2 

Today is a full day artist day in St Ives with 

renowned art educator Greg Humphries. He will 

take your group on a guided tour of the amazing 

Tate Modern St Ives exploring Modernists for 

GCSE or A Level. He will also undertake Beach 

Workshops and Sketchbook Tours of St Ives, interspersing 

practical work with seminars. 

After lunch, visit the Babara Hepworth Museum 

to explore this amazing artist including a sculpture 

garden and even opportunities for sculptural 

practice. 

In the evening, enjoy a group evening meal at a 

local fish and chip shop (booked exclusively for 

your group). 

Day 3 Day 4 

Today visit the Eden Project for a tour and education 

talk to learn about world biomes. You can 

also add in a workshop on topics including art. 

In the afternoon, visit an iconic Cornish tin mine, 

such as Botallack, Heartlands or Wheal Coates to 

explore the history and take out sketchbooks and 

capture these amazing buildings. 

Today visit the Penlee House Gallery & Museum 

where you will see some of the best-known 

works from the renowned Newlyn School such as 

The Rain it Raineth Every Day by Norman Garstins. 

In the afternoon, head to the beach! Take on a 

surf lesson with the St Ives Surf School. 

In the evening, enjoy a group evening meal at a 

local burger bar. Then embark on a guided Ghost 

Walk of St Ives (if you dare)! 

Day 4 

Before heading home, visit the Leach Pottery to learn about the work of Bernard Leach, of the renowned 

Leach Pottery, for a hands on workshop. 

Following this head home. If you have time, you can always call in on the way home via one of Cornwall’s 

other iconic fishing villages, such as Padstow on the North Coast.

Day 1 

Depart UK and travel to Barcelona by air. 

After arriving in Barcelona, travel to your hotel 

and check-in. Depending on your time of arrival, 

you may have some free time to explore Barcelona. 

If this is the case, why not take a visit to the 

Camp Nou, home of Barcelona FC and the most 

visited site in Barcelona. 

Day 2 

After breakfast, receive a half day guided tour 

of Barcelona by an expert local guide, exploring 

some of the famous sites of the city in conjunction 

with seeing some of the amazing Gaudi sites 

include Parc Guell and Casa Mila. 

After lunch, visit the awe inspiring Sagrada Familia 

cathedral. 

Free evening in Barcelona. Why not take an 

evening tapas tour with your students, and soak 

up the Catalan atmosphere. 

Day 3 

After breakfast, visit the amazing Picasso Museum 

to explore the works of one of the world’s 

greatest ever artists. 

After a spot of lunch, travel to Fundacio Juan 

Miro, a fantastic, world-leading contemporary art 

museum where the building itself is dazzling, and 

contents are inspiring.

Day 1 

On arrival to London you will visit the popular National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery. Here 

your students will have the opportunity to study Fine Art to further their knowledge for contextual 

studies. You will then enjoy a group evening meal at Pizza Express before heading off to 

visit the London Eye. Later that evening you will be transferred to your hotel to check-in. 

Day 2 

Today, after breakfast, you will visit Tate Modern where your students will be able to develop 

their understanding of international modern art from the 1900s to the present day. You will 

then be transferred via boat to Tate Britain, famous for housing the national collection of British 

art. 

After enjoying lunch, you will take part in one of the popular Camden Street Art Tours. You will 

explore various pieces of graffiti and urban art along with brief descriptions of the artists behind 

the murals. We can also arrange a workshop session should your students wish to document 

their understanding through creating their own street art. 

In the evening you will enjoy a group meal before heading to the West End to watch a fantastic 

performance. We can arrange for your group to see popular shows from the Lion King to the 

Woman in Black. 

Day 3 

Today is your last day, after breakfast you will visit the SAATCHI Gallery. This contemporary art 

museum offers a chance for students to develop an awareness of the purposes, intentions and 

functions of art.

Day 1 

Upon arrival in the beautiful city of Paris you will visit the famous Louvre Museum. One of the 

world’s largest museums and historic monuments, your students will be able to study incredible 

Ancient and Western Art collections as well as seeing the real Mona Lisa portrait. The Louvre is a 

great place to further develop student’s understanding of the art world. 

In the evening, your group will enjoy an evening buffet meal at Monte Carlo before checking in to 

your hotel. 

Day 2 

After enjoying breakfast, your group will visit the Museo Picasso. This museum houses an unparalleled 

collection of art from Picasso, covering six decades of creativity. Here your students will 

be able to develop their knowledge of the work and approach of Picasso’s artwork. 

After lunch, you will visit Musee d’Orsay. This museum holds an impressive collection of 19th 

century art, including sculptures, furniture and photography. This museum offers a great place 

for students to better understand three-dimensional art work. 

Once you are finished exploring, you will head to Hard Rock Café for a group evening meal. 

Later that evening you will take a trip to the recognisable symbol of Paris – the Eiffel Tower. 

This elegant monument is beautifully lit up each night, and provides gorgeous panoramic views 

across the city. 

Day 3 

Today, after breakfast, you will set off bright 

and early to visit the Pompidou Centre. This 

art gallery houses impressionist and post-impressionist 

paintings and is located on the 

Place de la Concorde. This gallery is the 

perfect place for students to work on their 

contextual studies and develop their own 

creative ideas. 

Day 4 

After breakfast at the hotel, you will checkout 

and begin your journey back to your 

institute. 

After your visit here you will enjoy a delightful 

Bateaux Mouches River Cruise which is 

a lovely way to experience the city from a 

different perspective. 

Before heading back to the hotel you will 

have free time to explore the city.

Your dedicated Tour Co-ordinator will work with you to 

ensure that all the required visits and excursions are 

booked and that the final itinerary is constructed to 

meet your group’s requirements. 

We will forward your final itinerary for your approval 

complete with all required information including any 

vouchers or tickets where required.
