ABOUT ICAP The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is the premier institution in Pakistan established under the Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961 for the regulation of the profession of accountants in the country. ICAP has over 7,000 active members, of which over 25% live and work overseas. ICAP members are recognized across the globe for their competence, drive for professional excellence and high ethical standards. ICAP has 5 overseas chapters in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Canada and Bahrain. The chapter regularly organizes continuing professional development (CPD) events, networking meetings and conferences for the benefit of its membership, and collaboratively works with other accountancy bodies and interest groups on matters of professional interest. ABOUT THE IFAC PAIB COMMITTEE The IFAC Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee is a strategic advisory body of professional accountants with extensive and diverse experiences that provides IFAC with: strategic input on the most relevant business and accountancy issues that need to be addressed, and how to best do so; direct input into IFAC initiatives, projects, and activities, thereby ensuring inclusion of perspectives and issues most relevant to professional accountants in business; and outreach and stakeholder engagement both within and beyond IFAC.
