Jeremiah 33:3
As the depths of our being cry out for a real and
consistent walk with God, in humility we deliberately,
welcome the Lord Jesus Christ into our lives and yield to
His Spirit. He comes. Life is birthed anew! Forgiveness
and freedom come. Into our lives He brings grace and
truth, the fullness of His Spirit, the power and hope of
His resurrection with peace and security in His presence.
The personal knowledge of God, and experiences with
Him are possible … for you! For He said … “You will seek
Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your
Jer 29:13-14
heart. I will be found by you”
Yes, God wants you to know and live an extraordinary
life in His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, at peace with God!
May this book encourage you to turn to the blessed Holy
Spirit to guide, teach and motivate you;
…to believe the word of God and, in believing, to
discover and live the free and powerful spiritual life into
which you were born through faith in Jesus Christ and
His victory over sin and death. A life of willing,
enthusiastic dependence upon the indwelling Holy
Spirit for direction, instruction, comfort and strength.
The remarkable life of a disciple of Christ that is
authentic, powerful, purposeful … and happy.
… to lay aside the common belief, spoken or silent, that
daily awareness of the presence and interaction with
God is rare, experienced by only a select few, and
bypassing the many believers.

Introduction
Ordinary people cried out, searched for the Leader who was
to come into their lives. One who was to be more than
ordinary. “We have found Him,” Jn 1:45 was the joy filled
exclamation of Philip to his brother, as he spoke of Jesus,
the Messiah they were looking for.
Like the overflowing love filled happiness of a young person
when they have found the one they hoped would be their
love and partner for life.
“I have found Him!”
Joy fills the present.
Anticipation marks the future.
Life overflows!
Hopes and dreams burst into possibilities.
Yes, we have found the One who meets and satisfies the
deepest longings of our hearts.
It is Jesus!
He sets us free! Really free!
Truth reigns!
He makes our heart dance and sing for joy!!
In response to the wonderful discovery of life in Jesus, and
being stirred to do so, these realities are shared in the desire
to give honour to God and to bless the reader.
Objectives:
1. to present the Word of God as the basis for faith in Him
and thereby promote standards for thought and action
that are normal by God’s standards rather than man’s;

2. to stir the reader into an honest search to know God in
a deeply personal way; to foster the discovery or the
rediscovery and return to the first love for Jesus and the

joy of serving Him;
3. to present the good news of salvation and the eternal
life that has been obtained at a great cost and now
generously offered and freely available to every person

4. to declare the reality and extent of the new birth
experience which gives a general true testimony to the
powerful life changing power of the Word of God, the
Spirit and the Son of Almighty God;

through faith in Jesus Christ. Gal 5:1 The life of willing
enthusiastic dependence upon the indwelling Holy Spirit
for direction, instruction, comfort and strength. The life

6. to lay aside the common belief, spoken or silent, that
daily awareness of the presence and interaction with
God is rare, experienced by only a select few, and
bypassing the many believers;
7. to present foundations for faith in and the reception of
the dynamic life giving words of Jesus Christ; preparing,
equipping each believer to know that they are a vital
part of God’s ministry workforce, delivering His grace

We often are opposed to unwanted
intrusion into our lives, into our thinking.
We consciously or unconsciously protect and defend the turf
on which we live, the things, thoughts, opinions and ways, that
we possess, that we own within, as well as those with which
we are familiar.
Permission
The following thoughts may be challenging to you.
Regarding the content, you may not be familiar with it, or you
may question its truthfulness, accuracy and the manner of
presentation.
So, I want to ask your permission for the liberty to share with
you about a matter that I believe is extremely important.
On your approval, we press on.
Life is a wonderful thing, a deep reservoir of possibilities and
experiences.
There is found, perhaps hidden, in every person a thirst to be,
and experience, all that life has to offer.
Although we may disagree, I believe that it is not within us
alone to fathom the depth and greatness of what is possible
for man to know or experience.
Life can be ordinary.
Life can be extraordinary, going beyond what is usual, regular,
or customary!
Extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad!
Today, I want to present to you the reality of possessing and
experiencing an extraordinary dimension and a normalcy in life
that is genuine, powerful and good.
Really? Wow!
That is quite a statement!
Can it be really true?

… a personal finding
The quest for life’s
possibilities may take one down many and varied paths.
Some are good, some are not good at all!
It is somewhat naïve to endeavour to “try it all.”
If done, much will lead to serious, demanding, perhaps
unintended and unwanted consequences.
On the other hand, some demanding and very important
issues come upon us simply because of our personhood and
for no other reason.
The way seems obvious, yet often it is not practised, that
when confronted with an issue or investigating a matter that
will require a decision, the smart thing to do is to proceed
wisely, using, relying upon good and proven sources.
In our quest for life, we are faced with questions,
which we may have never sought to honestly ask or
answer.
1. What do I want in life?
2. What do I need?
Is that perceived need really true?
3. Do I really want what I really need?
Do I really know what I really need?
4. Am I willing to pay the price for what I
need and want?
The treasures of life are most often discovered by
deliberate effort.
The genuine, persistent, focused, whole hearted, effort in
Jer 29:13
the reality of truth.

… lowering our guard
Growing into life’s potentials involves the risk of learning.
That is being willing to go beyond what we presently
personally know and experience.
“It is a dangerous thing to refuse to go on (to)
knowing.” Oswald Chambers
Real knowing is built on the real truth.
May we all live, stand and walk in real truth.
Yes, it is possible!
The One who brought life advised His friends as to some of
Lk 11:9-
what it takes to personally successfully achieve in life.
10; Mat 7:7
Ask – recognise and acknowledge your need, let all
hindrances go and adopt a teachable attitude, set about
to get the facts and faith, then ask the right source.
Seek - search honestly and thoroughly to discover the
reality and the sound basis to believe, out of which faith
comes.
Knock – put your faith into practise, choose a course
and take action, endure, address and meet the
demands encountered on the way.
Stand – be a committed believer, keep your faith alive,
renewed as long as the object of your faith remains.

… accepting reality head on
There is more to life than our personal interests and
attention.
Surprise! Surprise!
Life is not only about us!
Life is not attainable or sustainable alone.
It is not intended to be lived alone.
A solitary life cannot produce life.
Long and continuing life requires others.
Life is to be a healthy blend of generosity to others and
thankful dependence upon others.
Life will be good and honourable as we do justly, love mercy
Mic 6:8
and walk humbly with God.
Moving forward
The fantastically marvelous aspect of life, of which I speak,
is related to God and His Son Jesus Christ.
Are you still willing to risk finding out more?
I sincerely hope so.
I hope there is encouragement and perhaps even help for
you in this material.
You may find there to be exciting new discoveries as well as
new experiences and dimensions for you amid this review of
ancient truths revealed long ago.

Truth is pure, separate, boundless,
spiritual and eternal. It is found in all
the universe and is foundational to all
that is real in creation. It is knowable, discovered, not
created. Truth is freeing, to be sought, treasured, respected.
Whether we now know it, agree or not, God is good! All the
time!
In our finite understanding and wisdom we are incapable of
an honest appropriate perception and appraisal of God.
God is!
He is who His word, His Spirit and His Son, say that
He is!
He is part of ‘the beyond’ of natural human knowledge and
experience.
The truth about God is revealed by God Himself to be
discovered by man. In His boundless love He has reached
out to humanity that we might know Him.
To know God we must know and embrace His Son
Jesus Christ and His accomplishments on our behalf.
In that reality, it is wisdom to embrace the pure life changing
words of God that are forthrightly provided and preserved
2Peter 1:2-3
for us in, His word, the Bible.
In it God Almighty, the source and giver of life, in love,
invites us to a life that is more, better than we know.
Look at what He has promised long ago, and still stands by
His word. 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you
Jer 33:3 NKJV
great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
Wow! Another wonderful promise filled with potential and
possibilities!!
God loves you and me! He wants us to know and experience
Jn 4:24
Him and His blessing, in spirit and truth.
That looks like good news to me!

We are called to attention by how truth is to be sought and
treasured.
”Buy (acquire) the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and

instruction and understanding.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And

in all your getting, get understanding.
“The beginning of Wisdom is, get Wisdom – skillful and
godly Wisdom! For skillful and godly wisdom is the principal
thing. And with all you have gotten get understanding –

discernment, comprehension and interpretation.”
Notice that before wisdom comes truth.
Wisdom is reliant upon truth.
As truth is acquired all other things are possible.
“Buy the truth and sell it not; not only that, but, also (get)
discernment and judgement, instruction and

understanding.”
The lesson is … get hold of truth and keep it!
Truth is vital in any and all relationship to God
If we desire to interact with God, in any way, it must be in
spirit and in truth. Real truth includes God!
Yahweh (Jehovah) is the ‘God of truth.’
Dt 32:4; Is 65:16
"I (Jesus) am the way, the truth, and the life.”
The Holy Spirit is the ‘Spirit of Truth.’
“The words of the Lord are pure words”

Truth and God are inseparable. “without holiness no one will
see the Lord” Heb 12:14 I believe it may be said that, “without
truth no one will have closeness with God.”

Truth in our lives is more than what we say, it also includes
what we listen to, look at, think and do.
Listen to the words of truth uttered by Jesus the Messiah.
“I (Jesus) have come into the world, that I should bear

witness to the truth.
Again from another translation; “I (Jesus) have come into
Jn 18:37
the world, to testify to the truth”
He (Jesus) tells us to “seek the honour that comes from
Jn 5:44
the one and only God”
He makes the statement that searches us all.
Jn 18:37
“Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
So, let us ask ourselves, ‘am I of the truth?’
Do I want to hear and know the truth?
Am I earnestly seeking and willing to acknowledge and
receive the truth, about God, about myself?
In order to hear we must allow the Father to unfold reality
to us through the Holy Spirit and receive the truth He
reveals.
Jn 16:13
His desire is to guide us into all truth.
The desire and choice to follow God in the truth He
reveals … is ours to make.
The reception of that which God sends to us is filled with life
Jn 1:12-13
and births within us the life and reality of God.
He brings peace! Jn 14:27 He lightens our darkness.
How wonderful is that!!!

Ps 18:28
In order for us to follow the Light we must let go of
the darkness.
Let go of our own darkness.

We are moved by God’s motivation and resultant
actions that have involved us.
He (God) so loved us that He gave His only Son so that
whoever would believe on Him would not perish but receive
Jn 3:16
the tremendous gift of eternal life.
Jesus came to address our separation from God.
Jesus, the Son of God, assumed our place and became poor,
(unto death), that we through His poverty might become

rich (unto life).
With the birth of Jesus Christ there came more of the
revelation of God, His true and wonderful plan. “For the law
was given through Moses; grace and truth came through

Jesus brought and enabled the change which is necessary
to take us beyond the limits which we naturally have in our
earthly life in order to enable us to have genuine personal
intimacy with God, in spirit and in truth.

Life beyond the ordinary,
beyond the earthly … and
the challenge to believe.
“Only the Holy Spirit gives eternal life. Those born only once,
with physical birth, will never receive this gift. But now I

have told you how to get this true spiritual life.
“I (Jesus) have come as a light into the world, that whoever

believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”
“I (Jesus) have come that they (you) may have life, and that
they (you) may have it more abundantly.” Jn 10:10 … that you
may have life beyond ordinary earthly life.
A life that is extraordinary at its core, in essence, in
longevity.
A life that extends beyond human breath and
heartbeats, it transcends our nature …
A life that is full, strong and overflowing.
This life is from God, with God and in God.
Its God life!
Holy Spirit life!
Majestic life from above!
“But although the world was made through Him (Jesus), the
world didn't recognize Him when He came. Even in His own
land and among His own people, He was not received. But
to all who did receive, welcome and trust in Him, He gave
the right to become children of God. They were given life. A
birth into life that does not come from man but from God.”
John 1:10-13
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life,
and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life;
he who does not have the Son of God does not have the

Believe and you will live!
"I (Jesus) am the resurrection and the life. He who believes

Jesus pointed out the reality that “Humans can reproduce
only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from
heaven. So don't be surprised at My statement that you

Jesus expressed His desire for us to know and share His life
when He prayed, “As You, Father, are in Me, and I in You;
that they also may be one in Us.” Jn 17:21 NKJV “I in them, and

You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one.”

God has sent speaks the words of God…
Listen … for these are the words of God! His seed sown into
Mt 13:23
your heart that it may bear fruit unto eternal life.
From His word, you and I will discover the truth about life
from the One who was killed, buried and three days later
rose from the dead without any human intervention.
He is the real authority on the subject.
Jesus Christ gave His life so that we could live.
This is real love!

This is how much He cares for you and me!

Faith in Jesus, the Son of God, is
the only avenue to life with God.
"I (Jesus) am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes

“There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name

in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Let us hear it again. “I (Jesus) say to you, unless one is born

again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
“Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born

again.'
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The
words that I (Jesus) speak to you are spirit, and they are

life.
"He who believes in Me (Jesus), believes not in Me but in
Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent
Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever
believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone
hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him;
for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that
which judges him — the word that I have spoken will judge
him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own
authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command,
what I should say and what I should speak. And I know
that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I

The reality is that you and I are unable to accomplish
our own salvation.
Therefore, out of love for us, God has done it for us.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was
bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace
was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like
sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his
own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us
Isa 53:5-6 NKJV
all.”
“For God was in Christ, reconciling the world (that’s you and
me) to Himself, no longer counting people's sins against
them. This is the wonderful message He has given us to tell
2 Cor 5:19 NLT
others.”
Look at that line again. God was in Christ, reconciling the
world (that’s you and me) to Himself, no longer counting our
2 Cor 5:19
sins against us.
In His Son, God was getting it done for us !!
The solution to our sin and separation from God is
the offer God presents to us all!
(Therefore I) “urge you, as though Christ Himself were here
pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" For God made
Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so
that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Cor
5:18-21 NLT
"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds
the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I

Do you, will you, believe in Jesus?
Do you, will you, put all your trust in Him? … now?
Quiet your heart.
Put all other things and thoughts aside.
Turn toward Jesus, focus and pray
… do business with God.

Lord Jesus,
I believe that You are the Son of God, and that You love me.
You are right. I am living and walking in darkness.
I have sinned and I am lost without You.
I believe You died that I could live, being forgiven my sins.
I believe You are calling me to be reconciled to God.
Yes, I want to have my sins forgiven, and to be released
from the sin and darkness in my life.
I choose You Jesus, and ask You to please come into my
heart and life, that I might be born again and have Your gift
of eternal life.
I want to know You … to serve You … to follow and confess
You as my Lord and Saviour, for as long as I shall live.
Lord Jesus, I pray this, in Your Name, with all my heart.
Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your love and blessing. Amen
Whoever calls on the Lord Jesus Christ to save them

Spirit born into the Father’s family through faith in the
Son. Gal 4:28 Born into His care, provision, nurture, teaching
and training! Born into His life!! A new “man (woman) which
was created according to God, in true righteousness and
holiness.” Eph 4:24 NKJV … How truly wonderful is that!!
“These things I have written to you who believe in the name
of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have
eternal life. And this is the confidence which we have before
Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears
us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we
know that we have the requests which we have asked from
1 Jn 5:13-15 NASB
Him.”
“God saved you by His special favor when you believed. And
you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation
is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none
of us can boast about it. For we (you) are God's masterpiece.
He has created us (you) anew in Christ Jesus, so that we
(you) can do the good things He planned for us (you) long

Having been born again by the Spirit of God, we go
on to daily live in the Spirit and bear the fruit (show
the presence and work) of the Spirit in our lives.
Jesus spoke of this saying "Now the parable is this: the seed
is the word of God. Luke 8:11 NASU "… the seed in the good soil,
these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest
and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with
Luke 8:14-15 NASU
perseverance.
The fruit (evidence of His Spirit) in our life is clear,
abundant, internal reality and outward blessing.

possibilities of … the extraordinary life into which
you and I have been born!!
We must adjust the way we think if we are to live our new
life to the full in the kingdom of God. Allow the Holy Spirit
to lead us to think new thoughts. Embrace the change He
brings. Allow our faith to expand and grow.
Align our thoughts and expectations in light of our spiritual
birth. Establish, thoughts and plans that are in harmony with
God throughout the whole of our life’s journey.
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from death was
not to return to live a continuance of the life He had just
left. He rose to a new spiritual supernatural life. All who
receive the risen Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour are born
Jn 1:12-13
into that same spiritual life.
You and I, who have been born again of the Spirit of God
Almighty, are to accept that this life, His life, is for us!
As our Saviour, in whom we now live, is holy, free and
victorious, so you and I have been born into a life of real
every day strength, provision and victory.
A life of holy freedom.

A life of “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy
Rom 14:17
Spirit.”

The Bible
speaks to us,
and about us.
We often are, and can be, more than we think we are.
We have been saved, rescued, redeemed, and ransomed, to
be more than we often allow ourselves to think, believe or
experience.
In and through His sinless life, suffering and death that
atoned for sin, and His subsequent resurrection, Jesus Christ
has accomplished for us the freedom of the death of the old
man and an entrance into the realm and dimensions of the
new life created in Christ Jesus Himself, through the work of
the Holy Spirit, our personal faith in Him and our total,
honest and unreserved acceptance of His work on our
Rom Chaps 5-8; Eph 2:8-9
behalf.
”Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to
present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to
God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not
be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will
of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Rom 12:1-2 NASU
We are admonished to think in a new way and not to be
"conformed to this world, (in thought as well as action), but
be transformed by the renewing of your (our) mind," our
thinking, that we may experience, demonstrate the "perfect
Rom 12:2 NKJV
will of God."
In order for us to see and do the will of God, a renewing
restoration of our thoughts, conscience and values is
needed. The Holy Spirit must be welcomed, allowed and
trusted to guide and direct our every thought beyond our
human intelligence as He may choose.
His resultant transformation of us is more than
exterior decoration, it is a core change inside.

Direction and boundaries for further thought.
Avoid the side roads, the wrong roads.
“May it never be that I would boast, except in the cross
of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has

been crucified to me, and I to the world.”
The preceding verse encapsulates foundational truth
and must always remain instructional, setting direction
and controls within our thinking.
“Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according
to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ

longer.”
The NIV translation says, “So from now on we regard
no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once

regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.”
“let us strip off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress.
And let us run with endurance the race that God has set
before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on

whom our faith depends from start to finish.”
Fix our eyes on Jesus … the current living Jesus.
Accept that He identified with us in life and included
us (you and me) in His death.
Accept also that His resurrection breaks the bonds of
our old life and provides an entrance to new life for us
now.
Jesus is alive now!
In Him there is a new life for us, with new hopes,
dreams and possibilities.
Hallelujah!!

Think about the developments and realities in our
life with God that we have been, and continue to be,
called to understand and live by.
With deep reverence and recognition of the sacrifice
and suffering of Christ on the cross, for our personal
individual salvation, we are now called to live and walk
Rom 6:4, 13; Gal 6:16
in the Christ beyond the cross.
“In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but

alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
The Lord Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the
branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears

Get the big picture clearly in focus, in your thinking,
from God’s perspective and His declared reality!
God presented the image of a birth to new life. The
past is to be left behind, and new realities embraced.
Recognize and accept where we are now!
Lay hold of who we are, that is our spiritual roots!
Be the people our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ said
that we are, a growing branch, connected, attached to
the Son of God Himself.
Born into the eternal world, the glorious realm of God.
With full recognition that, "It is the Spirit who gives

life; the flesh profits nothing."
Release, abandon yourself to God, that you may
embrace what God has done and is doing in
your life!

He thinks big thoughts.
He does things of powerful impact and influence.
We need, and want, to receive His unspeakable gifts of His
beloved only begotten Son, His promised Holy Spirit and the
new life He gives. By His gifts we may be aligned with God
in thought and spirit, so that we may bond intimately with
Him, receive, understand and follow His thoughts and
words, in order that we may enter into His world, the work
which He has done, and is still doing, as well as the work He
is still to do in the future.
His indwelling Spirit instructs, leads and enables.
Jesus stated “I am among you as one who serves.”

The Holy Spirit combined with our bare obedient faith in
Him, and love for Him are a dynamic combination! A recipe

in our lives, and world beyond.
How can we say ‘thanks’ for all that He has done, and is still
doing for us?
Imagine, He serves us!
He serves you!
Think about that! Let the magnitude of that humbling reality
wash over and through your mind and spirit.
He really is wonderful beyond words!

Stay in harmony,

blessing of God.
With the Spirit of God free to work in our lives big things
happen.
1. It seems to me that, God, who is holy, wanted us,
designed us, birthed us, as His children, to go
through life and enjoy it together with Him. To live a
holy life. To walk in the life and Spirit of Christ, with
His word and Spirit alive and active in us.
2. A life that has been given to God, set apart, different,
beyond natural life.
3. A life free from the power and dominion of sin, filled
with joy, walking freely in the light, strength,
company and companionship of God our Father.
4. A life filled with all the fullness of God
Let us ask ourselves "Do I believe it?"
“Is it happening?”
"How much of the time?"
“Do I believe it can happen for me?”

7. you may consistently bear fruit in every good work;
8. you may know the surpassing greatness of His
power toward us (you and me) who believe, being
strengthened with all power, according to His
glorious might, that we might attain to all

Get on board with God!
Get into agreement with His program, what He is doing!
Let Him be the captain, the commander, of your salvation!
He knows what is required and how to get you and me safely
through life and into heaven!
Let us be sure to learn and do the first things.
Build our thinking and life step by step.
First let Him be the cornerstone, then build upon that rock.
A. Thoroughly deal with our past relations with God.
Humbly, honestly acknowledge our separation and
estrangement from God?
Repent of all our sin and resistant unbelief.
Leave, forsake our old selves and our past.
Lay hold of our new living spiritual roots, our
grounding in God, our heritage, our life in the
Spirit.
Realize, recognise and accept who we now are
and the position that God has given to us.
B. Address and meet the challenges of life with a
knowledge and trust in the integrity of His word, the
personal-ness of God in prayer, the discipline of a
daily walk with Christ and the powerful fullness of
His Spirit, by Whom we can begin to know the depth
and scope of His Kingdom, His works of love and the
ministering spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit that He

has given to us and that work through us.
We plead, encourage you and urge you to “live your lives in

Know, truly, that we are now rooted and grounded in

Know that His life, love and power flow naturally
in and through this new miraculous life, into

which we have been born.

Regrettably for some, their life in Christ seems to be clouded
somehow, uncertain, unclear, divided.
The full, satisfying, joy filled life in God is appealing
to them, yet seems to always be out of reach.
Let us trust the Holy Spirit to help and guide us as we try to
address this matter probing our thinking and actions.
Can we observe a natural occurrence as a comparison and
learn a big lesson from a small teacher.
We know that caterpillars become butterflies.
Caterpillars don’t think butterfly thoughts, nor do they do
butterfly things, until they become butterflies!
Butterflies live a life that is entirely different than the life
they lived as caterpillars, once they leave caterpillar land.
Now, why would a butterfly ever look back from his lofty
free beautiful butterfly world thoughts and return to the slow
confined world of caterpillar thoughts?
Now look at us …
Having been loved, sought and rescued by God.
Having been born anew to new life, forgiven, cleansed and
Eph 2:5; 2 Cor 5:17; Rom 8:9
changed;
1. Why would we ever seek to live again the life out of
which God has brought us?
2. Why would we not earnestly seek to live out the reality
of the changed life?
3. Is it because we are unaware of what God has done?
Are we just not thinking of what we have been given,
that we seldom, or haltingly, settle in and draw upon
those resources?

4. Do we think, are we hindered by, “I can't”, “I don't know
how”, “this will be difficult”, “I've never done this
before!” or “what will others think?” … “I’m afraid?”
5. Do we feel guilty, unworthy of the gift of abundant life
that God has provided then bestowed upon us, as we
recognized and received Christ in personal salvation?
6. Are we hesitant to fully and wholeheartedly accept,
believe, embrace and cast ourselves upon Him, then
quietly, confidently rest in the wonderful, humbling and
life changing revelations and declarations of the word
of God?
7. Do we avoid going to God, even neglect or resist the
practical aspects of personal fellowship with Him
because it is unfamiliar to us and we are unfamiliar with
Him?
8. Is it that our love for Him is half-hearted anemic, stiff
and colourless?
9. Do we hesitate in obedience to God waiting to see the
results of obedience before performing the acts of
obedience? Peter had to get out of the boat and go to
Jesus before he walked on water. Mt 14:22-29 He also
needed to cast his net into the sea before he could see
Lk 5:4-6
the catch of fish.
Put your faith in action.
Choose God!
Depend upon the presence God, within, to be and to
play a dynamic part in your day to day life.
Is 40:31
Expect to “mount up with wings like eagles”
If we still call the life and world in which we formerly lived
as our own, we will find, or be given, an opportunity to
return. But now we persistently look toward a better place
Heb 11:14-16 NLT
that we can now call our own.
So let us move forward. No looking back !!!

We all know that
there are difficult
moments in life
that both challenge and reveal our inner thoughts, our
thoughts about ourselves, our thoughts about God, the
condition of our own heart, the values we had and thought
we had, our character and where we are with God.
Sometimes we may find ourselves inconsistent in
experience;
1. Our walk is inconsistent and unsettled as the weather.
2. Sometimes life seems to be clear, at peace in spirit,
clear in vision, experiencing joy in Spirit, all being well,
then again ...
3. Sometimes life seems so blustery, dark and foggy. It
feels like we are hardly above water, on the edge, at
the brink of life in God, drawn, attracted to the old
selfish ways, desires and sin.
4. We struggle inwardly, sometimes unsuccessfully, to
overcome temptation, struggle with relationships, with
bad attitudes, with old habits and destructive
behavioural patterns.
5. We don't seem to be, or feel, very holy, steady or
strong at times.
6. We seem to be most vulnerable in our private times
and thoughts.
7. Instead of peace there is turmoil inside, and outside,
we are afraid, uncertain, worried!
8. Instead of hope and joy, we find ourselves
disappointed, mostly with ourselves, wanting but
unable to experience the promise, that dream of that
fuller, better life, which we long for.
9. God seems to be a distant part in our life. We treat
Him as a Respected Stranger.

10. We are silent in our confession of God and our walk
with Him.
11. We seldom pray.
12. We mean well, yet sometimes we seem to be just
barely beyond the entrance into that holy, abundant
life in Christ!
If you find yourself there my friend, you are not alone in
your inward struggles to overcome.
They are all too common within our ranks.
Though you may be having difficulty discovering it, be
assured that God has made a way to freedom and
1Cor 10:13
victory for you.
Believe it!!
I believe the Bible teaches that the believer's life in Christ
has been designed to be lived beyond the fatalistic words of
that old song "whatever will be will be."
That attitude allows, accepts and follows whatever comes
naturally, or that which the devil may throw at us, being
unhindered, unquestioned and unchallenged.
Rather I believe my life, your life, in Christ is designed to;
Pulsate and overflow, even radiate the God part in us,
and as a result, live in holy freedom, victory and
abundance.
Have direction, discipline, purpose and joy.
Be a channel of God’s blessing to others.
All of it, by and within our Father's design and the
Spirit’s enabling!
I believe we all long for such life.
If not outwardly, certainly our inward spirit cries out
for it!
If there is a falling short, why is it there?

Can we look more deeply into this matter? The Holy
Spirit will help us to do better and not to condemn!
Let us be honest and have a word with ourselves …
Let us ask ourselves …
Is my heart open, inviting toward God? Is it really?
Does the thought of meeting with Him excite me?
Do I continually, habitually go to God to enter into His
life and world and bring Him into my mine?
Am I deliberately anticipating, whether consciously or
unconsciously, the daily ongoing miraculous activity,
Phil 1:19
supply and the enabling of God in my life,?
Am I receptive to the elements of God, expecting, and
co-operating with the word and Spirit of God, that I
may lay hold of the new life which I have been given
by God? A life (my life) which He planned, designed
and anticipated as a father his child. A life which I have
been born to live?
Am I believing God with my whole heart?
Am I yielded to the word and the Spirit of God?
Am I a person of the truth that I may hear His voice?
In order that … as a child in His kingdom…
God may speak and reveal Himself, His truth, to me,
and be revealed and glorified in this world, in the life,
love and light being poured forth, in an ever flowing
stream, from His Spirit born, Spirit filled, Spirit led and
Spirit empowered children! Myself included!
I may live in the reality that God has declared to exist!
O Father may Your kingdom come and Your will be
done. Please renew my thoughts and attitudes to conform
to You and Your truth and Your will.

Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that
pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him
who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given

these you may be partakers of the divine nature …"

Divine revelations of our Father which is in heaven and
His super abundant generous heart that has given to all
who know Him, things that pertain to life and godliness.
Divine revelations of the workings of God. What has
happened. Who and what we are. How we walk. How
we can walk the walk of life in Christ Jesus, filled with
the blessed, powerful Holy Spirit that was poured out at
Pentecost, intended for all His children.
Do we dare receive these revelations?
Do we dare believe them?
God spoke to Joshua " be strong and very courageous,
that you may observe to do according to all the law
which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn
from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may
Jos 1:7 NKJV
prosper wherever you go."
This principle applies to all of Scripture!
Be strong, be courageous, believe God!!
Believe God about yourself!!

fruit in our
life, daily.
"Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within

him; But the righteous will live by his faith.”
It is “his” faith. His (your) personal beliefs are lived out.
The object of his faith which is life giving, coupled with his
action which is life receiving, that results in life for him.
We are challenged, expected to believe in, and live in, the
Spirit beyond ourselves.
Righteous faith is faith in Jesus Christ.
That is normal!
Be discerning in what you believe. Details matter!
Hold to the truth (stay away from everything false).
Expect, look for the miraculous!
God loves us!
That is wonderful beyond words!!
God's words are God's expressed thoughts to us and about
us.
He sent His Son to carry out an act of love so powerful that
it freed us from sin and brought life and righteousness to
us.
Yes my friend, He has more to say to us than telling us, and
showing us, that He loves us!
God’s thoughts and words to us, about us, and about
Him, are challenging for us to hear, to believe and to
embrace forever.
His words are beyond us in our natural ability to grasp
1Cor 2:14
(they are foolishness to our human nature).

What we see in ourselves and what God says about us
may sometimes appear to be in conflict.
Though we ourselves may be a bit unsteady at times, I
think we know inside, in our heart of hearts, that God
is good, all the time!
We know His “words are pure words.”
His works are just and true.
Ps 18:30
Ps 12:6
He “gives good things to those who ask” Him.
Matt 7:11
How abundantly we know this to be true as we consider
the reality of His love in that …
“He (that’s God) who did not spare His own Son, but
delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him,
Rom 8:32 NKJV
also freely give us all things?
Therefore, let us be prepared to recognize and abandon
our unbelief, our resistance, our withholding faith to
surrender to Him, that cripples us, so that we have
difficulty experiencing the practical working presence of
God in our lives, every day.
May we renovate our faith walk which has seemed to
work ... sort of … but we see ourselves failing and falling
short so often. Where we have seemed to be unable to
comprehend or appreciate His love, His benevolent, bighearted
thoughts and actions concerning us and
concerning others.
May we always be ready, by turning to God in faith,
expecting and experiencing life in the Spirit, and
therefore walking in the Spirit with Jesus Christ in
every way, in all the details.
Living life as Jesus did. “And He who sent Me (Jesus) is with
Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those
John 8:29 NKJV
things that please Him.”

So let us allow the Word of God to show us, and the
Holy Spirit to make real to us, the desire of God.
Open up, prepare your heart, to hear more of what God has
revealed about you, to see yourself in the big picture.
Psalm 139:14 says that “(we are) fearfully and wonderfully
made”
I think we often apply that to the creation of our
physical bodies as part of the physical universe and
seldom attribute that statement to ourselves being new
spiritual creations in Christ.
Let me say it again that “(we are) fearfully and
wonderfully made.” May I add, "In both the natural and
the spiritual dimensions of our lives?"
There is more to God’s creation of us than we can totally
understand, see, touch, feel or hear! (it has not entered the
1 Cor 2:9
heart of man all that God has prepared for us).
God designed His children to be wonderful living,
functioning, spiritual creations living in physical bodies, with
the following attributes;
“created to be like God in true righteousness and

holiness.”
Spirit made,
Jn 3:6
overflowing with spiritual qualities,
Mt 5:14
strong in spiritual dimension and operation.

We are told that in Christ … it’s not the keeping of a law that
was written nor the absence of the law, “what counts is a

new creation.”
It’s the new creation and what issues from it that brings
glory to God!
Jesus said ... "It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh

profits nothing!"
He instructs us to look to the Spirit for understanding,
direction, enabling, help, strength, wisdom, etc.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever
a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to
his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who
sows to the Spirit (looks for and expects blessing to
come in and from the Spirit) will of the Spirit reap (the
blessing of) everlasting life (and the abundant blessings
which accompany everlasting life). And let us not grow
weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap
Gal 6:7-9 NKJV
if we do not lose heart.”
“If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the
Gal 5:25 NLT
Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.”
This is the essence of being a disciple of Jesus!
Do this, walk this road, (sow, set your mind on the Spirit,
look to the Spirit, partner with the Spirit) in all things, in
Rom 8:4-5
all areas of life.
Whatever we do, let us do it unto the Lord, do it in the
name and Spirit of the Lord. Col 3:17 (under and with the
authority of our Master, the risen Lord Jesus, for whom
we live and act as representative servants).
Pray, speak, in the authority of His Name!
Work, minister, in the authority of His Name!
"If you continue in My word, then you are truly My
disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will

When we received the Lord Jesus Christ into our lives, (God
received us), and transferred, conveyed us into His kingdom
(Col 1:13), of which He said, "My kingdom is not of this

of the world."
His kingdom is a holy kingdom!

You have been transferred into His kingdom!
You and I are in it! Who says so? He says so! Christ has
brought us into Himself!!

kingdom of darkness, and He has brought us into the
Kingdom of His dear Son. God has purchased our
freedom with His blood and has forgiven all our sins.”

“… if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things

It is as if we left off being caterpillars in caterpillar-land
and we have become butterflies in a world beyond, in
another dimension.
The patterns for living life have been updated to include
the new developments of life in Christ, which are
beyond our natural life.
When you get a transfer on your job, you are under new
authority, have a new boss. You show up for work at a
different place or location, with new dimensions,

workmanship, by His being in Christ reconciling the world to

accompanied by our believing faith,
we have already been brought into a wonderful close

and Lord of all lords.
My friend, look beyond the limits which you had before
being brought to life in Christ.
Stand back, consider yourself, where you were and

In our case The Holy Spirit within prompts, directs, enables
and we participate in providing yielded instruments for Him
to work with and through.
As we serve and honour the Lord Jesus, He faithfully
honours, serves and helps us, by lovingly bringing to us what
we need and being what we need, in every circumstance.
The realization that Jesus serves me is overwhelming.
His Spirit washes over me.
I am totally disarmed!
I am undone by His love and commitment to me.
I am searched, impacted and humbled that the Lord
Jesus should serve me.
His love draws me closer to Him.
He welcomes me.
I have a calm sense of belonging, being encompassed in a
safe place with Him.

In this wonderful new creation there are miraculous new
norms, new realities, new dimensions, new abilities and
capabilities, new resources and opportunities, new hope and
a wonderful new future.
Our bodies have become the temple, the dwelling place
and a base of operation of the blessed, dynamic, active
Holy Spirit. 1Cor 3:16 (one of millions of such bases of
operation in all His children throughout the world)
Imagine, the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, this
mighty power from on high, God Himself, within us and
Lk 24:49; Jn 14:17
we are in Him.
Do we realize, appreciate, the greatness of the power
of the Spirit and word of God?
God designed us to live and celebrate in the joyous
freedom of children of God!

In His
kingdom
design and
plan, the
power is to always belong to God.
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the
excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”

“Now to Him (the Lord) who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church
by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.

God’s powerful enabling promised gift of power from on
high, Lk 24:49 that is the mighty Holy Spirit, Acts 1:8 has been
provided and given to us.
As we receive and yield to the Holy Spirit Lk 24:49 we are
equipped and made to be instruments, by which and
through which the Lord Jesus Christ may reveal Himself
Eph 3:7; Col 1:29
and flow in life changing power to others.
The Holy Spirit works! (see 1Cor 4:20)
We expect, anticipate, allow and encourage Him to work.
We are like an internal combustion engine; we are designed
to have the power on the inside.
We can move the engine parts with a crank or maybe a
push, but it is not designed to run by being cranked or
pushed. On the intake stroke a mixture of gasoline and air
are brought in and contained, so that there would be power
generated on the inside.
All it takes is a spark and suddenly the change is dramatic
and powerful.
The design difference between the old man and the new
creation believer is just as dramatic.

We can live in this world, in our old “strength”, however the
new creation is designed to have God's power on the inside.
We still need to desire, seek and accept the revelation, the
reality and fullness of God’s abundant blessings and
provision from His word and His Spirit.
And, with a spark of believing yielding faith, the reality and
power of Christ rises within and floods our spirit.
When we see what He has done, what He has made of us,
He lightens our darkness.
His life and presence changes things, it changes us!
How can we not be changed by the influence of the blessed
Holy Spirit within??
He has made us to be His instruments, His vessels to carry
His blessing to those who need Him and choose Him,
wherever they may be.
Authority in and for spiritual service
“All authority is given unto me (Jesus) in heaven and
on earth, go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
Mt 28:18-19
and of the Holy Spirit.”
We work, we partner, with Him, providing for Him the
body with which He may work. Rom 6:13 We are instructed
in “whatever you (we) do in word or deed to do it in the
name of the Lord Jesus” Col 3:17 We do not work directed
by our own initiative. Rather we confidently work under
His authority and in His name, with His authority.
It is as if He were saying to us “Go in, with, My name, let
My authority be exercised through you, my disciples.”
As He came to serve Lk 22:37 we (you and I) are sent out
with authority and power to serve God and others in the
Mat 10:8; Lk 9:2-3
same loving, free manner that Jesus did.
“The kingdom of God is at hand”

To fulfill God’s word and
design, that which existed
needed to be addressed.
God reconciled the old to Himself. He set it apart for
Himself.
The death of the Son of God, as representative for us,
on the cross, is a wonderful and powerful gift to us. Jn
3:16; Rom 5:8; 2Cor 5:14-15
He met us where we were and made a complete
reconciliation of our old life.
He redeemed us through the blood sacrifice of the Lamb
of God, His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ. Who
was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried,
descended to hell, was raised up the third day, was seen
by multitudes, ascended to heaven, entered the most
holy place to offer His blood as the offering for sin once
for all, then sat down at the right hand of the Father.
It can be said that God cleaned up the contamination of
the dwelling place into which He was to enter and
inhabit (our bodies), before proceeding.
o The Lord has left nothing undone that needed to be
done.
o There were to be no unclean remnants left with the
workmanship of God.
o He washed us from our sins and made us whole
Rev 1:5; Eph 5:26
through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
o His wonderful work of complete reconciliation of the
old man is available to all who accept the gift of God’s

the recognition and adoption of our new life and

our new personhood in Christ.
I believe we are called to believe and live in the light of
our crucifixion with Christ and our being raised up with
Christ to newness of life in Christ.
We have been saved by grace through faith.
Eph 2:8-9
We are called to accept our destiny, the new and
different holy life and the role which God established in
Christ, then sent us to live.
o God is the God of the living.
Mt 22:32; Mk 12:27; Lk 20:38
o The only part of me that is spiritually alive is my
spirit made alive by Jesus Christ. I have therefore
nothing of which to boast!
o This is reality! This is where the real life is, this is
the base of operation in Christ.

Let go of the old Man! Which now, we may be dragging
through life as a corpse.
Repent of any conscious, or unconscious, sin of resisting
God and His provision.
Put off the old, put on the new.

None of our natural abilities, our intellect, mind, or
senses are our strength, for the Lord has become our
1Cor 4:20
strength … He is our Strength.
In all aspects of our life He is Jehovah-Jireh, our
provider, our shepherd, our sanctifier, our wisdom, our
understanding, our grace, our peace, our kindness, our
gentleness, the All Sufficient One, our all in all.
He has instructed us to pray “give us this day our daily
bread,” directing us to turn to Him, to ask, depend upon
and expect Him to provide and meet every need in
every area of our lives. This is more than food. It refers
to all of life.
The Lord has shown Himself to be the One who plans,
purposes, blesses and provides for all that we need.
We embrace, we celebrate and worship Him, our
Redeemer, Father God Almighty, Saviour and Lord, our
Strength, our Shepherd, our Teacher, Counsellor and
Guide.
We overflow in happy, glorious, inexpressible joy!

that is God … surrounded, submerged, supported and

Stop! Think about your being, ‘in Him’! May the magnitude
and consequence of that reality wash over and through you.
What can be insurmountable to me?
Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.

I can do all things through (in) Christ who is my
strength. Phil 4:13 … for with God all things are possible.

Every day, all day, the Spirit will make us
strong, victorious, overcomers.
God provides and God gets the glory! - that is the way
life was designed to function.
I can do all things through (in) Christ because the Spirit
in me is my enabling force!
Let us go on, launch out, to practice the bold obedience
of faith in God, with the expectation that the Holy Spirit
in us, will partner with us. He will provide the God
dimensions and elements in our obedience and take
care of the circumstances and consequences.
At all times let us look to God, ask, trust, expect that He
who is at work within us will also work in others and
matters that are beyond us.

We have been given new insight, and new

We are admonished to put off the old and put on the

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on
tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness,
longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one
another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as
Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these

the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were
called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ

normal, new dimensions in our lives.

God wants to continue to demonstrate His presence,
purpose and power to you, in you and through you by

the Holy Spirit.
New avenues of communication and intelligence are
opened up in God’s new creation.
He provides a constant flow of instruction, inspiration
and insight through His living written word.
New sustenance, food is required. This new man
(which is us) truly lives, feeds on
“every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Mt
4:4; Lk 4:4
It is the spiritual food for the spiritual man.
He works, interacts with us in new ways.

God takes the initiative in specific communications with
us through dreams and visions.
The Holy Spirit imparts specific pointed direct insights
through a word of knowledge, or a word of wisdom, and
the discerning of spirits.
Miraculous unlearned declarations of insight and
foresight are provided through gifts of prophecy.
Miraculous personal interventions with powerful mercy
gifts of miracles and healing are part of the provisions
of God.
Miraculous unlearned Holy Spirit communication is
experienced through speaking in languages He gifts to
us, and enables these utterances to be understood in
season as He directs their interpretation.

These are all gifts, as this wonderful new life is a gift, all of
which we certainly did not earn.
They are gifts characteristic of God. Whose kingdom is
not of this world. At the occurrence of the miraculous Jesus
said to His disciples, “Say to them “the Kingdom of heaven

is at hand.”
God rules! In the wonderful kingdom and presence of God
miracles are commonplace, normal experiences!
Jesus said “These signs will accompany those who believe,
in My name”… Mk 16:17-18 (the authority received from the
Father Php2:9 ) and delegated to believers (see italics below)
1. (in kingdom authority) … they will cast out demons,
2. (in kingdom communication) … they will reach
beyond natural limitations and through the Holy Spirit
… they will speak in tongues. Yielded to the miraculous
operation of the Holy Spirit a person may pray and

intercede for others according to the will of God.

Pointed, miraculous, effective prayer!
Further, in this wonderful Helper directed and assisted
prayer mode, the faith and experience of the believer,
is strengthened and expanded as they are built up on

When we look at ourselves apart from the cross and
resurrection we evaluate ourselves as mere natural men and
women. Now God says we are more than a mere natural
men and women.
We are His children, therefore our spiritual nature is

edge, our extremities, where we contact, touch people,

We can be all things He designed us to be

As an example of how this works … let us look at one aspect
of God in us …

Now God, in His word, says that He is love.
Because He is my Father, I have been born into the
realm and reality of the kingdom of Love.
I was born, and now live in Love.
Love lives in me.
As the tea is in water, Holy Spirit love is in me,

reaching, touching, filling the whole of me.
Holy Spirit love is expressed in unselfish, generous
deeds of agape (God love).
How wonderful is that!

Love is the heart language of God.
His powerful love is expressed in
many ways, sometimes with words.
It is beyond words that are heard, however important they
may be. It is demonstrated, seen and experienced in the
immeasurable, pure and generous, priceless acts of goodwill
toward another whether God or person.
Love endures.
Part of the nature and character of every citizen of
the kingdom of God is described in; 1Cor 13:4-8
“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does
not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it
does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into
account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in
unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all

This love is more than a distant sentimental aspiration
– it is part of our new nature!
The character qualities of the child mirror the qualities
of the Father God of Truth!
Jesus told His disciples the greatest commandment
was that "you shall love the LORD your God with all
your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and
with all your strength.' And the second, like it, is this:
'You shall love your neighbour as yourself."

How shall He not help us to fulfill these, the
greatest of His commandments??

Do we dare believe?
Do we dare believe that this wonderful character describes
God’s design, presence and workmanship in me, in us, His
new creation kids?
This is part of the reality of the glory of God in the church!
Born within love, born into love, free to live life with the
power of His love always present being expressed by us …
normally… daily… hourly !!
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you

are my disciples."
Yet, we often struggle to love people.
I have not always loved people as I have felt I should have.
I have sought and asked God that His love would be seen in
me, as you probably have.
I believe I have failed, maybe you have as well, because I
have unthinkingly tried to love by my own strength, the
power of the old natural man.
I believe I have been missing something!
In the family of God we can love naturally because love is
Col 3:12-17
part of our new make-up in Christ.
Can you and I accept, believe and rest in His Spirit, in His
peace, in the world into which we have been born, and allow
His wonderful, real, powerful, Spirit of love to dominate our
lives, to be expressed from our lives??
This love is part of the personal qualities that He says we
have and can be strong in, with faithfulness and consistency.
Let’s look further into the matter of love. Yes, this
matter must speak to men as well!

is within us.
He will accomplish the work of love through us, as
we co-operate, yield to His Spirit. 1Cor 13:4-8
Consider how love is described.
Note what it does, and … what it does not do.
Through the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit, the child of
God glorifies the Father and …
is persistently patient with others and overflowing with
kindness in the process,
is not jealous and not envious but rather rejoices in
the success of others,
is not boastful or conceited over one’s own success
but is humble in personal achievement,
is not arrogant or rude but gracious and polite,
does not act unbecomingly but shows restraint with
personal discipline,
does not try to control or manipulate others but rather
serves others,
does not insist on having its our own way but yields
without a fight,
is not irritable, touchy, fretful or resentful but at peace
in heart,
pays no attention and keeps no record of a wrong
suffered but forgives, releases,
is not glad with injustice or unrighteousness but rather
rejoices in the truth,
endures, perseveres, bears up under all circumstances,
never loses faith, is always hopeful, positive in faith,
love never fails.
Who wouldn’t want to be and live like this?
Certainly others around us would like it!!

The matchless, abundant, overflowing, powerful,
soul comforting, love of God has been poured out in
our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

1. The Holy Spirit works within us to bring us to
maturity in the love nature we are born with as part

poured out, shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy

4. We are filled, overflowing, saturated, not sprinkled,

that we should walk in them.
7. We have been created to do good works and those
good works are the work of the God within us,
expressed outwardly.
8. We have been given the power and ability to - love
like Jesus, - obey like Jesus, -believe like Jesus, - be

Jesus, - act, live and do as Jesus did!!!
9. Listen again “Christ dwells in our hearts through
faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in
love, are able to comprehend (and experience) with
all the saints what is the width and length and depth
and height — to know the love of Christ which

I can see love flow from me if I would just rest in God (in
Spirit) and allow His love to rise up in me, comforting,
setting my soul and spirit in order, then being able to flow
out from me, in every need, in every instance.
Therefore … “And let us consider one another in order to

stir up love and good works…”
Just consider that person, any person, and allow the
Spirit of Love (the love of God) to rise up within you
concerning that person.
This is the practical walking with God every day.
Should hardship come, we see the powerful presence
and love of the Spirit of God demonstrated, breaking
the bonds of suffering, liberating, lifting above,
overcoming all present evil, division and suffering as
on the cross, Jesus says, “Father forgive them for they

do not know what they do.”
Similarly in the last words of Stephen as he was
martyred, “Lord do not charge them with this sin.” Acts

How wonderfully powerful is the work of the Spirit in
trusting yielded hearts!!!
We can be confident that the Spirit of truth will “guide
you (us) into all truth,” in revelation, understanding
Jn 16:13-14
and experience.
Let us move beyond the realm of the natural man where sin
abounds. Let us move into the realm of Christ the Spiritual
Man where all things are possible, and, in whom you and I
have been made to be more than conquerors.

Praise God !!! In Him, this is an ongoing reality for us!
He is always there prompting, revealing, enabling and
strengthening us to meet every circumstance in the light,
presence and power of God. He will influence, empower us
in every part of every relationship we have with people. He
watches over us with a deep love for us.

His strength, wisdom, understanding it’s all here for

In sincerity, with humility …
Holy Father, to You belongs the highest of all honour and
praise. You Lord are above all! How greatly You have
blessed us, beyond all measure! Thank You for the gift of
Your only begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Sent to us, to
atone for our sin by His blood and thereby reconcile us to
Yourself through Him. He became poor that we through His
poverty might become rich. We offer to You our humble
whole hearted thanks for this matchless blessing, without
which we utterly perish.
O Lord be merciful to us Your children and speak to us that
we may know and understand what You want to us to hear.
Be pleased O Lord, to cleanse us and banish from us all
resistance toward You. Forgive us and cleanse us of our
offensive unbelief and disobedience. We cast ourselves upon
Your mercy that we may walk with You in truth and light, in
Your holiness. Please perfect, complete in us faith toward
You. Glorify Your Son in us, Your children.
We welcome You O Holy Spirit of promise. We ask that we
may be totally baptised, immersed in You. We surrender to
You, our whole being, our whole heart, our mind and our
strength. Be pleased O God, to come and sanctify us wholly
unto Yourself. May it please You, O God, to daily and hourly
set us apart for Your service, to carry out Your desire and
will, as You personally instruct and direct us. May You
graciously give us a sensitivity to clearly see and hear You
as You speak to us, that we would choose and accept the
path You would have us walk, that You may be glorified in
us.
O God, keep us from evil.
To You be glory, honour and praise now and forever.

There is no better place to be on earth than “in Him.”

About the Author
I am simply one who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. By
His grace, in mercy He saved me. Having been born again
of the Word and Spirit of God, He says that I have been
created in Christ Jesus to the praise and glory of God.
My first personal encounter with the truth about Jesus Christ
occurred when I was a pre-teen. That encounter was
refreshed and enhanced as a young adult. Five years later,
following a call to missionary service, I resigned from a
career in data processing to prepare for service overseas.
The next five years were spent in Bible College then local
church ministry which led to pastoral ordination. The
ministry which followed included missionary service abroad
as well as pastoral ministry in Canada.
An ordained minister of the Gospel, I currently serve as a
volunteer at a Canadian Christian charity organized to
gather, process and ship humanitarian aide internationally,
thereby assisting charities in the fulfilment of their particular
humanitarian ministries to the poor.
I like to think that I believe the letter and the Spirit of God’s
eternal unfailing word. I know that now, I only believe in
part and know in part. I do know however, that the word of
God is true and pure. It is the word of life that nourishes
and strengthens the Spirit of the child of God.
It has been my heartfelt desire to respectfully share some
of what God has revealed, both to us and about us, by the
Holy Spirit and by His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. His
unfailing word is recorded in scripture, the Holy Bible.
