Gotta Know
Delray Beach Artist to Be
Featured in Mid-Atlantic Art
Exhibition
Four bold botanical oil paintings
by Delray Beach artist Sally Painter
have been selected to appear in Art
at the Mill, one of the largest group
art exhibitions of the mid-Atlantic
region. Organized by the Clarke County
Historical Association, Art at the Mill
features more than 1,000 works of
art by 300 East Coast artists. Running
October 1 through 16, 2016, Art at the
Mill is held at the Burwell-Morgan Mill,
15 Tannery Lane, Millwood, Virginia.
After a lengthy career as a garden
nursery owner, Painter has taken her
love of plants and flowers in a new
direction with her fine art, which
now appears in private art collections
across the U.S. She studied at the Boca
Raton Museum Art School, and has
since been profiled in American Art
Collector, ARTisSpectrum, and Artist
Showcase. Southwest Art’s September
2015 edition named her one of their
Nationally Emerging Artists. Painter
has participated in a number of other
significant art competitions, including
the OPA’s 2016 Salon Show, the 2nd ART
& FLOWER Juried Exhibition, the Art
of the Heartland Juried Exhibit (2015),
and the 24th Annual All Florida Juried
Arts Show (2014), and was the featured
artist at the Palm Beach International
Airport in 2011. In addition to being a
member of the Board of Trustees of the
Boca Raton Museum of Art, Sally has
been juried in as a member of the Oil
Painters of America, the National Oil
and Acrylic Painters’ Society, American
Women Artists, the Boca Raton Museum
of Art Artists’ Guild, and Artists of
