Text in here
A table of contents, usually headed
simply "Contents" and abbreviated
informally as TOC, is a list of the
parts of a book or document
organized in the order in which the
parts appear. The contents usually
includes the titles or descriptions
of the first-level headers, such as
chapter titles in longer works, and
often includes second-level or
section titles (A-heads) within the
chapters as well, and occasionally
even third-level titles (subsections
or B-heads). The depth of detail in
tables of contents depends on the
length of the work, with longer
works having less.
OUR LATEST INTERVIEWS
According to Wikipedia, a news
article discusses current or recent
news of either general interest (i.e.
daily newspapers) or of a specific
topic (i.e. political or trade news
magazines, club newsletters, or
technology news websites).
A news article can include accounts
of eyewitnesses to the happening
event. It can contain photographs,
accounts, statistics, graphs,
recollections, interviews, polls,
debates on the topic, etc. Headlines
can be used to focus the reader’s
attention on a particular (or main)
part of the article. The writer can
also give facts and detailed
information following answers to
general questions like who, what,
when, where, why and how.
Authors also tend to use quoted
references because they can be
helpful. References to people can
also be made through the written
accounts of interviews and debates
DID YOU KNOW?
That MaranuiFM was
King. It was set up with
funding from the Ministry of
Education . MaranuiFM
streams 24/7 over the
internet and broadcasts
locally on 106.7 FM.
Over the years we have
interviewed a number of
people.
Being on the
radio.
At MaranuiFM, it is our goal to have as many
students as possible experience the radio station..
Martha and Naoh talk to some of the Year 1
students who have read their stories over the
airways.
"Being an interviewer is
sometimes pretty hard because
you have to think about your
questions. When I did my first
interview I was pretty excited,
but as we were live I got
nervous" Janine
"Advertising is very hard. It is a
tough job. We had to sit down
everyday for 3 weeks making a
survey and the MaranuiFM
newsletter" Ruby and Maddy.
"Being an announcer on
MaranuiFM is hard work
because you have to have
themes coming out of your ears!
But, when it comes to talking on
air we never want to get off!"
Michael
"Being an advertiser is hard
because we have to send letters
to companies and make the
newsletter." Jumerone
Thomas, Katie, Fletcher, and Anthony spoke to Noah and Martha about their
experience of reading their stories live on air.
Fletcher said, "I wasn't scared when I read my story (The Zoo) on the radio. I
want to read more stories. No-one listened to me"
Katie wasn't scared either and didn't have to stand on a chair. "I want to do it
again. Mum and Dad did not listen", she said.
She read about the New Car Seat.
Fletcher wasn't scared because his mum was with him. His story was about
The Zoo.
"I sat on the chair to reach the microphone" he said.
Anthony said he was a little bit nervous when he read his story about The
Holidays.
"My teacher listened' Anthony said.
He would not like to read on the radio again.
"Being a news reporter is easy
because all you have to do is
find the news on Google, edit it
and practice it. Also my mum
and dad help me." Louie
WE THINK
"We think that bringing little
kids to come and read on
maranuiFM is a good idea,
because when they read on
the radio it will build up their
confidence. Maybe when
they are older they will sign
up for the radio" Matisse
and Mila
