So much to tell you! First, we’re all abuzz about Joey the Shop Dog. Who’s Joey? Joey
is a little white dog that was rescued from a shelter by Rose Ann Cook, designer and quilt
shop owner. We are going to go all out to make this a special collection. We have also
partnered with The Petfinder Foundation and Kennel Quilts to help shelter animals. Reach
out to us and ask us how you can help and get involved! It’s fun and a worthwhile cause!

MEET JOEY THE SHOPDOG!
This little cutie-pie was a lucky dog, rescued from a
shelter. With only one eye, Joey’s chances of adoption
were slim. Luckily, Rose Ann Cook, a fabric designer
and quilt shop owner, took one look and fell in love.
Little Joey became Joey the Shop Dog.
Now, Joey has a new life. He hops into his bag every
morning ready to go to the shop. Joey has one of
the most important jobs in the shop! And he knows
he has a job to do. There are always plenty of
customers to greet! Of course, there is always time
for an afternoon nap, and always some pillows to
cuddle into, paws sticking out. (That was the
inspiration for the Joey craft panel!)

Who knew you could help shelter pets
all by doing what you love? Quilting!
The TQPM (The Quilt Pattern Magazine) Small Kennel
Quilt Team is a volunteer organization (900+ members
and growing!) that is available to respond when
disasters strike. The Small Kennel Quilt Team was
formed after Hurricane Sandy to help animal shelters
affected by disasters. Started by The Quilt Pattern
Magazine it is partnered with the Petfinder Foundation.
It is a way to join a larger effort in helping our animal
friends in times of need by doing what we love.

regarding the Small Kennel Quilt Team. You will find
FREE Kennel Quilt Patterns, guidelines for making the
quilts, current needs, mailing form, videos, sponsors

a link to the Facebook page.
By joining the team, you will receive all the latest
information regarding Kennel Quilt requests. By
liking the Facebook page, you will also receive
updates. If your shop hosts a Kennel Quilt Workshop
for a disaster or for your local shelter, TQPM will
post the information on all its social media to help
promote the event.

that works to end the euthanasia of
adoptable pets by assisting animal shelters
and rescue groups across North America.
Petfinder uses donations to help make
homeless pets more adoptable by keeping

operations more sustainable, and to aid
adoption groups during times of natural or
man-made disaster. Our grant recipients
include more than 13,000 organizations, car
