Providing professionals in the property industry an
inclusive and accessible opportunity to develop
industry contacts and networks in an informal
setting whilst having fun on the slopes
FOLIE DOUCE 2016
"
PropSki has now established itself as such a major
networking event on the property calendar that I am seeing how I get an
invite next year.
Guy Grainger UK Chief Executive, JLL
Bilfinger GVA has supported PropSki since inception in 2012.
I am delighted with the contacts and business
opportunities that our employees benefit from and look
forward to continued association with PropSki going forward.
Rob Bould Former Chief Executive, Bilfinger GVA

Concept
It’s simple really…provide a fresh new look at building relationships within the industry. Set in the
Alps in an informal & inclusive setting, the event offers a unique opportunity for surveyors to meet,
compete and network with peers in the industry.
Mission
To further grow an annual and widely recognised event in the property calendar which is seen as
an opportunity for both companies and individuals to gain exposure and positive association, on top
of developing and maintaining business relationships. The ultimate goal of which is to facilitate new
business.
By keeping prices as low as possible we aim to attract all ages throughout the industry without
pricing out the younger generation of property professionals. PropSki 2017 costs £695 which
includes 4* self catered accommodation (all in the same apartment block called Montana),
continental breakfast, lift pass, flights and transfers, as well as event and race day entry. We are also
offering a short week trip allowing attendees to benefit from less time out of the office. The short
week is from Sunday – Wednesday and costs £495. (See schedule for activities during this period).
PropSki is a not-for-profit organisation, re-investing proceeds into PropSki Limited for the
following year’s trip and events. As an Industry Partner of LandAid, we donate the residual proceeds
to LandAid: the Property Industry’s leading charity. This year PropSki Limited donated over £6,000 to
LandAid and hopes to be able to double this next year.
Targets
To have a wide representation from the property industry with multi-disciplined professional
attendance from both event sponsors and trip attendees. Our aim is to improve the trip year on
year, promoting inclusivity by keeping the number of attendees within 300 to ensure that everyone
has a chance to get to know each other. Since PropSki’s inception, attendance targets have been
surpassed growing from 100 attendees in 2013 to 300 in 2016.
History
Set up in 2012, the first four years of the trip have been a storming success. The first year saw 100
people from over 40 different companies being brought together for a week of sun, skiing,
competing, networking and entertaiment in the French Alpine resort of Val Thorens for
PropSki2013. The most recent trip in January 2016 was attended by over 300 professionals from 90
firms, from graduate level up to Directors and Partners – demonstrating successful market
exposure, growth in attendance and increased diversity of attendees.

Welcome Drinks (Sponsored by Tetris)
All 300+ trip attendees reconvened on the afternoon of the first
day over a few complimentary drinks at Bar360, a chalet
restaurant-bar with outdoor terrace overlooking Val Thorens,
exchanging stories from their first day on the slopes and
watching the sun set before heading back down the mountain for
supper and drinks.
a meal in a restaurant up the mountain, followed by a skidoo-led
The PropSki Network Reach
We have gained a lot of momentum and recognition within the industry amongst peers and industry
heads with the help of advertising and coverage from Estates Gazette, our own marketing campaigns,
internal company newsletters and via word of mouth from trip attendees.
Four years of marketing exposure has resulted in a strong reputation in the market and hype is growing
year-on-year. The PropSki LinkedIn group has over 500 organic connections (growing daily) whilst
PropSki’s Facebook page has more than 330 ‘likes’. PropSki’s Instagram account began last year with plans
to expand this in 2017. We have also developed an extensive email database of over 8,000 property
industry contacts.
The PropSki website (www.propski.co.uk) is regularly updated with booking updates, sponsor news,
attendee information and event information as well as live links to social media accounts and RSS News
Feeds. The website also provides exposure for the sponsors via a logo panel and a separate news story
with links through to the sponsor’s website. The website has been designed to work with all browsers,
tablets and smart phones.
