Welcome to <strong>November</strong>’s issue. Last month saw the annual<br />
<strong>Velvet</strong> Fashion Show at the Granary Barns in Woodditton and<br />
what an evening it was.<br />
Having only joined the <strong>Velvet</strong> team in February, I hadn’t been<br />
a part of the chaos before, but it was very rewarding to know<br />
we had pulled off such a great evening. I’d just like to thank<br />
everyone who took part and made the evening possible.<br />
There’s a full run down of the event on page 51.<br />
With Christmas next month (yes I thought the same… where<br />
has this year gone?), we’ve crafted up some gift guides for<br />
him, her and the little ones. Be sure to check out pages 35, 37<br />
and 39. We’ve also listed some local festive events which are<br />
happening in the run up to the big day.<br />
I’m a bit of a beauty junkie all year round, but when it comes<br />
to Christmas there’s even more to be excited about. Take<br />
a look at page 65 to see some of the beauty baubles and<br />
crackers some of our favourite brands have launched this<br />
year. The Jo Malone Christmas collections are always a firm<br />
favourite of mine. In other beauty news, Charlotte Tilbury and<br />
Marc Jacobs have finally made it to the John Lewis beauty<br />
counter in Cambridge. If you haven’t already caught a whiff of<br />
Charlotte Tilbury’s Scent of a Dream, I strongly suggest you<br />
do. Another highlight of last month? Most definitely the VIP<br />
opening of Hotel Chocolat in the arc Shopping Centre, Bury<br />
