This genuine low mileage and very original Stag has been in the vendor's collection for the past 16 years and is now only for sale due to him rationalising his collection. V5C, MOT to March 2017 See illustrations Sold for £13000 30 A 1965 Vanden Plas Princess 4-Litre R, registration number CUF 202C, chassis number VRS3/3173, engine number 40FBAH3093, grey over silver. During the 1960s BMC, Rolls-Royce and the pre-eminent coach builder, Vanden Plas collaborated on several projects, culminating in the Vanden Plas Princess 4-Litre R launched in 1964. The luxury saloon featured a modified Farina A110 body with a unique tail design, the Rolls-Royce FB60 4-litre six cylinder engine and a sumptuous leather, walnut and Wilton carpeted interior. This extremely low mileage example was originally supplied by Stringers of Brighton to a Mr Letts, who was to retain the car until his death in 1985, whereupon it passed on to another family member. Since then there has been one further custodian. The Princess would remain in storage for eighteen years until being recommissioned with a brake overhaul, a new fuel tank, and carburettor overhaul. The car was originally supplied in black over grey, which was felt a little too severe. A full quality respray was carried out in metallic grey over silver to compliment the beautifully preserved tan leather interior. With only 35,000 miles recorded on the odometer, confirmed with a large run of MOTs from 1968, and a history file containing the original Passport to Service amongst other receipts and correspondence this example must be one of the lowest mileage examples available. The vendor describes the car as in good condition in all major respects, and is fitted with a full tan leather interior. He also advises us that the roof is working, the car is fitted with a six speed manual gearbox, and comes with ****service book (no other handbooks)***, service history and two keys. This home market right hand run Deluxe has been professional altered to a convertible and features a Cherokee red interior and a white hood and sits on Minilite style alloys. V5C, MOT to August 2017 See illustration This lot didn’t sell 33 A 1976 left hand drive Porsche 912E, chassis number 9126001717, white. Porsche's 912E is one of the rarest Porsche models made, with only 2,099 manufactured to compliment the 911S in the lucrative North American market. The 912E shared the 911S chassis and body styling but incorporated the 914 fuel injected two litre derived engine. This 911E was imported from Arizona in 2015 and was originally supplied by Alan Johnson Porsche on 30th June 1976 to its first registered keeper Dennis Foster & Son. Having been imported from a dry state the Porsche has a solid and rust free body shell. Prior
to being imported the engine was rebuilt by Lloyd Mosher Enterprises Porsche and VW in California. The engine is fitted with a twin Weber performance kit which has been tuned since arriving in Britain. Further works carried out have included the rebuilding of the gearbox, general servicing and preparation for the MOT, which it passed on 1st September 2016 without any advisories. The Porsche is offered for auction with the original fuel injection system should the next custodian wish to reinstate the car to original specification, the original warranty and maintenance manual, Arizona certificate of title, HRMC duties paid paperwork and current MOT. The Porsche is now ready to be registered to its first British owner and offers excellent value compared to its 911S counterpart in today's classic car market. ***MOT to August 2017 (not September)*** See illustrations This lot didn’t sell 34 A 1981 Lotus Esprit S3, registration number HBZ 1590, chassis number SCC085912BHD11043, Calypso red. The Giorgetto Giugiaro's designed Esprit was launched at the Paris Auto Show in October 1975, replacing the Europa in the Lotus model line. The Esprit would go on to find fame in two James Bond movies, The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977, where a white S1 would transform into a submarine, and For Your Eyes Only in 1981, where two Essex Turbos in white and copper starred alongside Roger Moore. This normally aspirated example has covered a mileage of less than 70,000 miles over its 35 years on the road, substantiated by a run of MOTs from 1984. Finished in striking Calypso red with a contrasting half black leather and red alcantara interior and sitting on BBS alloy wheels, this Esprit looks very purposeful and every inch the sports car Colin Chapman intended. This S3 has benefited from many thousands of pounds worth of maintenance over the years including a cylinder head overhaul and engine bay refurbishment in 2015 at a cost of £5,236.99, amongst other noteworthy works. This well maintained example is offered for auction with a large history file with receipts, past MOTs and correspondence. V5C, MOT to February 2017 See illustrations Sold for £11500 35 A 1934 Austin Seven Ulster Special, registration number WSJ 430, chassis number 205539, ***engine number M152461 (not M15246)***, maroon. This well known and extensively campaigned Austin Seven Special was constructed by Doug Bukin and registered in 1988. During Doug's ownership the Austin was campaigned in over 80 competitive events in both circuit and hill climbs, with both the VSCC and 750 Motor Club at various venues including Goodwood, Mallory Park, Donington Park, Prescott, Silverstone and Shelsley Walsh amongst others. The car is well constructed with an aluminium body in the Ulster style over tubular framework with a 6 ft 3 inch chassis, lowered axles and 17 inch wheels. The engine is highly modified with a high compression cylinder head, an Allen Billet crankshaft, Renault 5 aluminium pistons and crank, an aluminium deep sump, big valves, a lightened flywheel, a four branch exhaust manifold, a single modified carburettor and overbored block (803cc) and a remote spin off oil filter.
