Hope Happenings

Last month was a busy time for deliveries to Hope. Thanks
to John Garcia & Bill Kasdorf for helping to take two truck loads
to the shelter. On the way, we stopped at The Porsche Store (see
pic), which was a great place for Barney Barnes to transfer a
washing machine to John’s truck. The Porsche Store has always
been very helpful to us and has offered us many services. We really
appreciate the friendly folks there.
A special thank you goes out to those members who are calling
and making the trip to the shelter on their own. The staff so
appreciates your donations, and the opportunity to thank you
personally. Keep up the good work Mavericks!

Hope offering a “Pay Back”!
At the Mineral Wells Reunion Event (TT#5 & AX#5), being
held the weekend of August 25 & 26, our friends and families at
the Hope Shelter will provide us with a Picnic Dinner on
Saturday evening the 25th at the track. They are excited to have
an opportunity to say thank you to the many Mavericks and their
friends for the support given to them. Look for the ad on page 3,
and let us know if you are coming. Hope to see you in “Hot
Mineral Wells, Texas”. Remember you pass through Cool, Texas
before arriving, that should lower your temperature some!
