From The Driver’s Seat by Wendy Shoffit, Slipstream Managing Editor I’m sure many of you are wondering why in the heck Slipstream keeps getting to you so late. Well, to be honest with you, so am I. As I write this, it’s the 18th of January and just today I received my copy in the mail. TODAY!!! Slipstream was printed and bound, ready for the mail house on the 3rd of the month (even after two holiday breaks). Where it’s spent the last 15 days? I honestly can’t tell you. What I can tell you, though, is that I’m on it. I’m asking questions and asking for solutions. It’s unacceptable to me to put in all this work to advertise events, but then it gets to you too late to attend. That’s one of the reasons we list in events two months in advance. So, please pay attention to the ads as you never know when the newsletter will magically appear in your mailbox. Please know that we’re doing our best to get it to you quickly and completely. While you wait for the printed version to get to you, the online version is available sometimes even before the ink is dry. Oh, and did I mention that it’s in *COLOR*??!! All these great event pictures... all the event ads... beautifully presented in color for your enjoyment. So, if you’re a “newbie” and want to read some history about your favorite club, that’s a great place to start.
