The Scrutineer was responsible for ensuring that all racers and their cars met the strict Club Race requirements. photo by John Sandusky Cliff Blackshear was the Scrutineer’s Assistant. As a Gold Meister certified technician at Boardwalk Porsche, he is more than qualified! Timing was handled by our local Maverick, Michael Wingfield, who does Club Races nationally. The Maverick Club Race Co-Chairs were Jim Buckley, Joel Nannis, and Pat Heptig. Lori Mauthe smoothly ran the DE portion of the weekend, and trained for Pace Car duties for next year along with Phil Hallenbeck. Wendy Shoffit who received them from generous donors. Even closer to racers’ hearts was the food and drink both days that was almost magically organized by Lisa Steele. However, it takes more than food and prizes to put on a Club Race. John Crosby was the Race Steward.
