DAY 1: Morning collection from home to join our<br />
coach for a leisurely drive northwards to our hotel<br />
in Slaley, Northumberland for a stay of 4 nights.<br />
DAY 2: Our first excursion takes us south via<br />
Blanchland, the Derwent Reservoir and Edmundbyers<br />
to Stanhope. After a short break, we continue along<br />
Weardale to Alston with the opportunity to purchase<br />
lunch (not included) before enjoying a ride on the<br />
South Tynedale Railway. We return to our hotel by<br />
way of Hexham with its historic Abbey.<br />
DAY 3: We journey to Morpeth this morning with<br />
a chance to look around the weekly market and<br />
obtain lunch. Later we make our way across the<br />
picturesque Northumbrian countryside to Bellingham<br />
and Kielder Water. Here we enjoy a cruise around the<br />
lake before returning through Hadrian’s Wall country<br />
on the way back to the hotel.<br />
DAY 4: This morning we travel to the ancient and<br />
historic City of Durham, acclaimed as a World Heritage<br />
Site and dominated by the magnificent Norman<br />
Cathedral and Castle, high above the River Wear.<br />
After some free time, we continue to Barnard Castle<br />
and the Bowes Museum with its fabulous Silver Swan.<br />
DAY 5: We depart our hotel after breakfast and<br />
commence our homeward journey arriving back<br />
in East Anglia during the early<br />
evening where our door to door<br />
service will be waiting to return<br />

A tour showing the delightful blend of Scottish scenery from the islands<br />
and lochs around the Firth of Clyde to delightful Loch Lomond and a visit<br />
to one of the countries great cities.There is something for everyone.<br />
DAY 1: Morning collection from home to join our<br />
coach for the drive north to Scotland arriving at the<br />
Hallmark Hotel, Irvine late afternoon with tea/coffee<br />
and shortbread being served on arrival.<br />
DAY 2: This morning we make the short journey to<br />
Ardrossan where we board the morning sailing for the<br />
Isle of Arran. The crossing takes around 55 minutes<br />
and on arrival in Brodick, the island’s main town, we<br />
have time to obtain lunch and have a look around.<br />
We have a short sightseeing tour of the island before<br />
we catch the return afternoon sailing to Ardrossan.<br />
DAY 3: A complete contrast today as we drive<br />
towards Glasgow and Pollock Country Park. Here we<br />
visit the superb Burrell Collection, amassed over 80<br />
years by Sir William Burrell and outstanding in its<br />
wealth and diversity. Ceramics, prints, carpets,<br />
tapestries, paintings, this priceless collection has<br />
something for everyone. From here we head into<br />
Glasgow and visit the superb Riverside Glasgow<br />
Transport Museum.<br />
DAY 4: Our day begins with a drive south along the<br />
Ayrshire coach through Troon to Ayr, a popular<br />
6 Days / 5 Nights Half Board<br />

holiday resort. We have time here for a look around<br />
the town and maybe a seafront stroll, to obtain lunch<br />
before we continue for a visit to spectacular Culzean<br />
Castle and Country Park, in a stunning clifftop<br />
location near Turnberry. The castle offers much of<br />
interest, with terraced gardens, woodland, ponds,<br />
wildlife garden, walled garden and deer park.<br />
DAY 5: Leaving the hotel we head across the Erskine<br />
Bridge and head along the north of the river to<br />
Helensburgh for a short break. From here we continue<br />
along Gare Loch and Loch Long to Arrochar and to<br />
Tarbet, on the banks of Loch Lomond. We stop at<br />
Lomond Shores complex with chance to obtain lunch<br />
and browse the shops before we leave for Balloch.<br />
Here we have a cruise on Loch Lomond and later<br />
we make our way back over the bridge.<br />
DAY 6: Departing our hotel after breakfast<br />
we commence our return journey<br />
making suitable comfort stops en<br />
route. Later we return you to your<br />
home area by mid evening.<br />
