• Admits getting snubbed for the combine in 2007 was a huge
motivating factor for him. Said Celek: “It ticked me off, to be
honest. I thought I would be drafted higher, but it just lit a fire
under me that I will always carry.”

Jim Cramer, the two met for the first time for dinner in 2009 and
have regularly talked about football and finance ever since
• Acquired his desire to invest and research business ventures
during his college classes at Cincinnati. “I would often get bored
in class and sometimes just log onto the internet during class to
research companies.” ... Not much has changed today as Celek
uses Flip Board to keep up with all the latest news and trends
in business, style, entrepreneurship, architecture and design
• Brent’s No. 1 fan is his grandfather, Ed, and vice versa. “We’ve
been very close from when he was little on up,” Ed said. Brent
gave his grandfather the ball from his first touchdown catch in
2007. In fact, Prime Stache, contains a photo of Ed with a mustache

PERSONAL
• He and his wife, Celeste, reside in Philadelphia
• His parents, Steve and Debbie, own three hair salons and spas
in Cincinnati named Paragon Salon
• Has two younger brothers, Garrett, who is a tight end for the
San Francisco 49ers, and Tyler. Also has two younger sisters,
Stephanie and Mackenzie.
• Brent and Garrett are one of eight brother combinations to both
play in the NFL joining Keith and Kerry Cash, Daniel and Darren
Fells, Billy and David Griggs ,Rob and Dan Gronkowski, Darryl
and Gary Lewis, Ed and Irv Smith, and John and Mike Tice
• Grew up a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals as his family owned 10
season tickets. His favorite Bengal of all time is Boomer Esiason.
Also enjoyed watching Notre Dame football
• Tries to model his game after one of the all-time great running
backs. “I grew up watching Jerome Bettis and loved the way
he played. He was a beast, the first guy never took him down.
When I have the ball in my hands, I try to be like him. That’s my
mindset.”
• Began playing football in the 2nd grade as a fullback for Our
Lady of Visitation in Cincinnati
• Hobbies include reading murder mysteries and books regarding
the stock market, as well as playing tennis and basketball
