BIRDSEED - Cont.
• Organized a co-ed, high school football camp in Michigan called
the Select 100 that takes 10 students (five boys and five girls)
from each of Detroit’s 20 public schools. The inaugural camp
took place in summer 2015 and will help promote teamwork,
confidence through sports and self esteem. At the suggestion
of his wife, Carlyne, Graham decided that it was important to
incorporate girls into the program, as the couple recognized the
void for female football camps
• Graham is currently nine credits shy of obtaining a degree in
sport management and plans to finish following his football
career. He has also taken an interest in sports broadcasting
and would like to attend the NFL’s Broadcast Boot Camp
• In the offseason, trains in Detroit with former Michigan LBs
Larry Foote and LaMarr Woodley. Works out at a Detroit boxing
facility, Barwis Methods, with trainer Mike Barwis
• Rod Oden, who was an assistant coach at Crocket while Graham
was in high school, is now the head coach there and fondly

reflects on Graham’s work ethic and the impact he has made
on the program. “He was an absolute leader. The entire school
would follow Brandon. He’s a leader in demonstration. We say,
‘Leadership is demonstrated, it’s not announced.’ He walks in a
room and his presence commands respect. People see him put
in the extra hours. They see him run the extra sprints, lift the
extra weights, and they follow. Now we have kids who want to
be the next Brandon. They’re still following.”
PERSONAL
• Married Carlyne Williams during the 2014 offseason and
resides in Philadelphia. The couple gave birth to their first
child, daughter Emerson, in the winter of 2016. They also have
a cocker spaniel named Midnight
• Parents are Tasha Graham and Derrick Walton. Has three
younger sisters, Brittany, Mikayla and Brianna
• Began playing football at the age of seven as a linebacker,
center and running back for the Detroit Giants
