The Advent of Redemption

SING Oh, come, oh, come,

SING Oh, come, oh, come, great Lord of might, And to thy tribes on Sinai's height In ancient times once gave the law In majesty on cloud and awe. - Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel Day 19 Victory in the Holy City (This Man Really Was God’s Son) December 16, 2016 - Matthew 27:50-54 KIDS CITY CONNECTION Even when Jesus grew to be a man, He had many enemies. But God raised up many friends, like John the Baptist, who joined the fight. READ Jesus shouted again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit. Suddenly, the curtain of the sanctuary was split in two from top to bottom; the earth quaked and the rocks were split. The tombs were also opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised. And they came out of the tombs after His resurrection, entered the holy city, and appeared to many. When the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were terrified and said, “This man really was God’s Son!” ASK 1. Does this passage teach me about Jesus and His mission? 2. What does this passage teach me about man and his condition? 3. How will I live differently today in light of this truth? 50 51
