Truth be told, here are some great ses for the dvancements in ommunications owever; more bad than ood. ho is the most usceptible to the bad art of all these great nnovations? Why it's ur teenagers of course. ecause teenagers are oing through so many hanges hormonally, motionally and hysically without the xperience to know how o make wise decisions. nd parents may get ad at me but oh well. ne of the worst things we can do for our children is to put this technological world at their fingertips unsupervised. If we are honest with ourselves parents, we remember being teenagers and how we promised our parents what we 'wouldn't' do and then experienced what happened under the force of peer pressure. Consider how easily it is for our kids to get to the bad stuff on these phones, tablets and PCs, especially with no parents present to monitor their actions. I know what some may be thinking "How do you know? Do you have children?". The answer is a resounding yes. He's 11 and when he tells me he is going to a certain place online, inevitably he just happens to go somewhere else when I check up on him. Please understand I am not telling you how to raise your children. I am simply providing some tips if you are interested to help protect your teenager's innocence until you can't. So here it goes and by all means, if you are a parent or a teenager and you agree or disagree with anything or you have some helpful tips I didn't think of, please write me: feedback@theHBCNews.c om. Tip #1 : Don't buy your kids smart phones! No temptation equals no sin Tip #2: If you do, monitor their phone closely by asking lots of questions and set the phone up so that you can check their history and they won't be able to delete it Tip #3: Keep the internet centrally located in your house and AWAY from their bedroom Tip #4: Set strict guidelines and if broken, take the phone/computer away. Dear Reader, For those of you who have followed Heartbeat Christian News on a regular basis, I wanted to say thank you and God bless you. Normally you won't see any communication directly from me to you and the reason for that is I want everyone to know this is a work of the Lord thereby keeping the focus on Him. With that being said, realizing that we are strictly a faith based publication supported solely by the advertisers the Lord blesses us with, I am asking for your help. One key to gaining repeat advertisers is if they get feedback from customers who say “Hey I saw your ad in Heartbeat Christian News” or “I shop here because you support Heartbeat Christian News.” So I am asking you the reader to make it a point to let the our advertisers know that you seen their ad in this paper AND to support our advertisers as much as you possibly can. If we know ourselves to be Christians then we should do all we can to support Christian businesses. It doesn't mean we necessarily agree or believe like they do on every point but it is not our place to judge. That is God's business and we know He can take what's wrong and make it right. In closing and on a different note, please write us with any feedback about Heartbeat Christian News. It doesn't matter how you think we will take it, we will look at all correspondence objectively and pray about it accordingly. E-mail: feedback@thehbcnews.com Postal: 2322 Congress Pkwy S. Athens, TN 37303 Thank you, Todd Abraham Editor Heartbeat Christian News Come Hear this prophet of God at this location Truth Tabernacle Church 2322 Congress Pkwy S. Athens, TN 37303 An International, NonDenominational Outreach Sunday: 1 0:30am & Wednesday: 7:30pm By Brother Lee Sharpe God, in all generations, has reserved to Himself a holy remnant - that which was left over from a much larger group which professed to be God's people, who separated themselves from the world-conformists and idolaters who rebelled against God's Word. In one degenerate and perverted generation, that faithful and holy remnant declined down to just one man - Noah! The word or term "remnant" is used prominently in the prophetic scriptures relating to God's true elect among millions of professing Christians in this generation of the end-time. The definition of remnant is: "What is left over from a larger piece or group; as the end of a bolt of cloth; residue." After the professing Christians of this age have been tried as by fire, and thoroughly tested to purge them from all sin and uncleanness, a remnant will remain true, stedfast, uncompromising and faithful to God. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT PROPHETS? Luke 13:33 "Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem." Amos 3:7 "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." II Chronicles 20:20 "And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Te-ko'a: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper." Matthew 10:41 "He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward." 1 Corinthians 14:32 "And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets." Acts 13:1 "Now there were in the church that was at Antioch cedrtain prophets and teachers; ...." Ephesians 2:20 "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;" Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;" Just the Truth Following a great sermon on lifestyle evangelism one family thought they had better do something to witness to Jesus. So they invited their neighbours to dinner the following Friday night. When it came to the meal, the hostess was keen to show their neighbours that they upheld Christian standards in their home. So she asked little 5 year old Johnny to say grace. Little Johnny was a bit shy. "I don't know what to say" There was an awkward pause, followed by a reassuring smile from the boy's mother. "Well darling," she said, " just say what Daddy said at breakfast this morning." Obediently, the boy repeated, "Oh God, we've got those awful people coming to dinner tonight" Courtesy of http://jokes.Christiansunite.com
