In every generation,

In every generation, there is a remnant which refuses to bow down to religious tradition and partial truths; those who choose to stand on the pure, unadulterated Word of God no matter what the cost. This page honors those brave souls! According to history, and what we learn from the bible, many a soul has given their lives, literally, for the cause of Christ. The word of God teaches us to give honor where honor is due. Following is a brief recount of how some died but in no way does justice to the actual accounts nor the number of lives lost in defence of the gospel. The thought occured to me that the reason the Coliseum in Rome is still standing to this day is not because of it's great architecture but the power of God; to honor all the martyrs who died there for His glory. I felt led of the Lord to include this section and my prayer is that your faith will be strengthened as a result of it. One final thought, I strongly encourage to read the Foxe's Book of Martyrs. Next to the bible, it is one of the best books you will ever read. The apostle Peter was crucified upside down. James, the brother of Jesus, was cast down from the pinnacle of the temple which did not kill him. After he was cast down, his head was smashed in with a Fuller's club. Tradition says that after speaking out against a solemn ceremony for the idol Serapis, the people of Alexandria dragged Mark to pieces. Following his preaching of the gospel in Parthia, Persia and India, Thomas was tortured by angry pagans, run through with spears and thrown into the flames of an oven. The most well known disciple of the apostle Paul, Timothy, blocked a pagan procession and rebuked them sharply. Subsequently, he was attacked and beaten so severely, that he died from his injuries two days later. Like no other, the Roman empire tortured and killed more Christians than any other nation. Polycarp, who was overseer of the church in Smyrna and a follower of the apostle John, was pierced with a spear and burned alive at the stake at the age of 86. And without making this seem like a lecture of redundant details, we would all do well to remember that tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters in Christ have suffered loss of life, limb, family, property, homes, finances as well as being tortured in ways we can't mention here. As a final note, based on news stories that don't make the six o'clock news and laws that have been put in place, persecution has already begun in this country and will only get worse. The word of God teaches us in Proverbs that a prudent man foreseeth the evil and hideth himself but the simple pass on and are punished. Get ready saints here it comes.

Shut Up Be Careful What You Talk About Continued from page 1 See the devil knows the power of your words and if he can get you talking defeat then he can get to you easier. In one place in the bible, His word teaches us that we hold the power of life and death in our tongue. Luke 17:19 "And he said unto him "Arise, go thy way: THY faith hath made thee whole." How many places in the scripture does it teach us 'THY faith' did it? God doesn't doubt Himself! This may seem a bit forward but if you can't think of any thing positive to say then it's best to not speak at all. Now don't misunderstand, I am not a motivational speaker or one of those positive minded only people. You can be the most positive minded person on the planet but if you don't submit yourself unto the Lord wholly then that will not save you. We all from time to time can't help but find ourselves in idle conversation but what we need to train ourselves to do is to speak victory by faith and especially scriptures that denote overcoming power. Remember the devil is not a cartoon character running around like some jackalope just out of your sight. He is a spirit just like God is and he works through the senses of your flesh and natural mind/understanding. So when you feel those negative thoughts or feelings or even what may seem to be a physical ailment, don't be so quick to talk about it. Just stop and think before you speak. And by all means, if some 'well meaning' person hears you cough or sneeze and says "Oh dear you must be coming down with something." DON'T agree with them. Remember, we serve a 100% positive God Who never loses. And if we have been born again, His word teaches us that 'NOW are we the sons of God'. In closing, be careful what you talk about and consider that you can train your soul to be an overcomer for God's glory!
