Photo by Dr. Bill Williams A measurable snowfall occurs every four to five years in Mobile. However, in January 1977, Mobile experienced two snowfalls. Mobile Airport recorded .5” on the 20th and 1.4” on the 31st. The second snowfall is shown in the above photo taken on the University of South Alabama campus.
