HAPPENINGS hong kong

HAPPENINGS hong kong SPOTLIGHT Deliciously Demonic He may have named himself the Demon Chef, but there is so much more to Alvin Leung’s cuisine than mere provocation. Located in the bustling district of Wan Chai, the restaurant Bo Innovation sports three Michelin stars and promises diners “X-treme Chinese Cuisine” and an experience which is, in the words of its founder, both “exotic and erotic.” A former engineer, Leung came late to the restaurant business but has in recent years certainly made up for lost time. In addition to his Hong Kong restaurant, Leung has carved out a successful television career as well. Visitors to Bo Innovation can sample such creations as the “Baby Food” black truffle, “chian dan chee” (basically a spam egg sandwich with a twist), foie gras “mui choi” with green apple and ginger and, as is to expected, Leung’s special take on the distinctive Chinese soup dumplings, “xiao long bao.” Bo Innovation, 1/F J Senses, 60 Johnston Rd., Wan Chai, +852 2850 8371 Dragons and Lions Welcome 2017 Hundreds of dragon and lion dancers bring their game on with a parade on Jan 1 while fierce competitions with high flying lion dance techniques follow on Jan 2.
