In my experience most arguments are caused by the misunderstanding that you’re right. 

On a special teacher’s 

day, a kindergarten 

teacher was receiving 

gifts from her pupils. 

The florist’s son 

handed her a gift. She 

shook it, held it over 

her head, and said, “I 

bet I know what it is - 

flowers!” 

“That’s right!” said the 

boy, “but how did you 

know?” 

“Just a wild guess,” she 

said. 

The next pupil was the 

candy store owner’s 

daughter. The teacher 

held her gift overhead, 

shook it, and said, “I 

bet I can guess what it 

is - a box of candy!” 

“That’s right! But how 

did you know?” asked 

the girl. 

“Just a lucky guess,” 

said the teacher. 

The next gift was from 

the liquor store owner’s 

son. The teacher held 

the bag over her head 

and noticed that it was 

leaking. She touched a 

drop with her finger and 

tasted it. “Is it wine?” 

she asked. 

“No,” the boy replied. 

The teacher repeated 

the process, touching 

another drop to her 

tongue. “Is it champagne?” 

she asked. 

“No,” the boy replied. 

The teacher then said, 

“I give up, what is it?” 

The boy replied, “A 


puppy!”

$100 very badly

two weeks, but nothing

decided to write a letter

they decided to send 

it to the President. 

The president was so 

impressed, touched, 

and amused that he 

instructed his secretary 

to send the little boy a

and immediately sat 

down to write a thank 

you note to God which

boondocks to deliver a 

baby. It was so far out, 

there was no electricity. 

When the doctor

laboring mother and

high so he could 

see, while he helped 

the woman deliver the 

baby. The child did so. 

The mother pushed 

and after a little while,

feet and spanked him

the 5-year-old what he 

thought of the baby.

Blind Pilot? 


I was flying from San 

Francisco to San 

Diego. By the time we 

took off, there had been 

a 45-minute delay and 

everybody on board 

was a little agitated. 

Unexpectedly, we 

stopped in Sacramento 

on the way. The flight 

attendant explained 

that there would be another 

45-minute delay, 

and if we wanted to 

get off the aircraft, we 

would re-board in 30 

minutes. 

Everybody got off the 

plane except one gentleman 

who was blind. I 

noticed him as I walked 

by and could tell he had 

flown before because 

his Seeing Eye dog lay 

quietly underneath the 

seats in front of him 

throughout the entire 

flight. I could also tell 

he had flown this very 

flight before because 

the pilot approached 

him and, calling him by 

name, said: 

“Keith, we’re in 

Sacramento for almost 

an hour. Would you like 

to get off and stretch 

your legs?” 

Keith replied, “No 

thanks, but maybe my 

dog Butch would like to 

stretch his legs.” 

All the people in the 

gate area came to a 

completely quiet standstill 

when they looked 

up and saw the pilot 

walk off the plane with 

the Seeing Eye dog!

In August 2016, Uncle Andy’s Digest published an article about 

Veterans of the Armed Forces (VOTAF). The VOTAF is a motorcycle club, 

comprised primarily of Veterans of all the services and takes great pride 

in assisting Veterans in need. VOTAF conducts a myriad of events and 

presentations for our less fortunate brothers, sisters and families. 

The article provided an excellent review of the VOTAF members and 

the cause we represent. The recognition received is beyond imaginable and 

the VOTAF wants to pass along our gratitude to the entire staff of Uncle 

Andy’s Digest. Because of your efforts in publicizing our club and mission, 

the VOTAF was able to present several KIA (Killed in Action) flags to families 

in Maine. We have also heard from many individuals who mentioned and 

made note of our activities, all due to reading your article.

In my next life I’m going to have more memory installed. 

According to a news 

report, a certain private 

school in Virginia 

recently faced a unique 

problem. A number of 

12-year-old girls were 

beginning to use lipstick, 

and put it on in the 

bathroom. 

That was fine, but after 

they put on their lipstick, 

they would press their 

lips to the mirror leaving 

dozens of little lip prints. 

Every night, the maintenance 

man would 

remove them and the 

next day, the girls would 

put them back. 

Finally, the principal decided 

to do something. 

She called all the girls 

to the bathroom and 

met them there with the 

maintenance man. 

She explained that all 

these lip prints were 

causing a major problem 

for the custodian 

who had to clean the 

mirrors every night. 

To demonstrate how 

difficult it had been to 

clean the mirrors, she 

asked the maintenance 

man to show the girls 

how much effort was 

required. 

He took out a long-handled 

mop, dipped it in 

the toilet, and cleaned 

the mirror with it. 

Since then, there have 

been no lip prints on the 

mirror.

go, it was perfection. 

A thick slab of smoked 

ham, a fresh hoagie 

bun, crisp lettuce and 

plenty of expensive, 

light brown, gourmet 

mustard. 

The corners of my jaw 

aching in anticipation, 

I carried it to the picnic 

table in our backyard, 

picked it up with both 

hands, and was ready 

for the first, mouthwatering 

bite. 

Suddenly I was 

stopped by my wife 

with a sense of 

urgency. 

“Hold Joshua while I 

get my sandwich,” 

she said. 

With Joshua being six 

months old, I carefully 

balanced him between 

my left elbow and 

shoulder, and began 

reaching for my perfect 

ham sandwich again, 

when I noticed a streak 

of that gourmet mustard 

on my fingers. 

I love mustard. I really 

love gourmet mustard! 

I had no napkin. 

I did what comes natural. 

I licked it off. 

It was not mustard. 

No man ever put a 

baby down faster. It 

was the first and only

A New Year has begun! This is when people make New Year’s 

Resolutions, usually to improve their lives. Many people buy memberships 

to local gyms, where the signs read “Stop! … Look! … 

Lessen!” Many folks have good intentions, in order to lift their spirits, 

but end up at the gym only to weight a while and never get anything 

done. Lots of couples go to the gym together, but that is a bad idea 

because some relationships just don’t work out. Others trying to lose 

weight continue to frequent the coffee shops for rich beverages and 

delicacies. You could say they are making a mocca-ry of their diet. 

These people might be better off going to the paint store as I know 

they sell thinner there! 

Focus-driven people are very determined with their New Year’s 

Resolution, and they make a slow start with weightlifting, but they 

pick it up eventually. I think the hardest thing is finding a spotter at 

the gym, but when you do, it’s like a huge weight has been lifted off 

your shoulders. 

Being fit can also be your job or part of nature. There’s the astronaut 

who fails on a weightlessness experiment, and is immediately 

aware of the gravity of the situation. Then there is the termite who 

wants to lose some weight, so he started eating more lattice. And 

finally, we all know how fit a gymnast has to be, especially since they 

are always bending over backwards for people. 

The thought of becoming a gymnast springs into my mind however 

much I suppress it. When I learned that I couldn’t be a gymnast, I 

was all bent out of shape. I had to realize that the best floor exercise 

gymnasts come from Palm Springs, and I would eventually end up 

quitting gymnastics 

because I am not 

one to hang around 

the bars. Besides, 

when you have such 

unbalanced thinking, 

it will get you floored 

by an unparalleled 

accident...and I don’t 

want that! 

Jimbo is telling me it’s time to drop this set, unless I have some 

words of wisdom on a weight loss mantra. Fat chants, Jimbo, fat 

chants!
