Sustainability considerations cover how we design and<br />
manufacture products, what we offer customers, how we<br />
engage suppliers, how we assess risks and opportunities, and<br />
how we behave in the communities where we operate and<br />
towards one another. We also strive for excellence in health<br />
and safety performance.<br />
Technology<br />
Technology plays a key role for ABB. We have nine <strong>res</strong>earch<br />
centers, 6,000 scientists and 70 university collaborations<br />
across the world – all working to develop unique technologies<br />
that make our customers more competitive and efficient while<br />
minimizing impact on the environment.<br />

ABB operates in more than 100 countries and we have offices<br />
in 87 of those countries to provide the support our global and<br />
local customers need to develop and conduct their business<br />
