04 Features & BeneFits When design defines function Design is where the story begins. Without it, PPG gear sets would not perform or last like they do. With every product it manufactures, PPG aims to make shifting as effortless and as positive as possible: from the moment the driver touches the shift-lever, to the delivery of power right through the transmission. This allows gear changes to be executed more accurately and quickly and therefore achieve a minimal drop in RPM, more continuous acceleration, a balanced chassis and consequently, increased performance. PPG offers a motorsport-proven high performance, 6-speed sequential system upgrade for four-wheeldrive transaxle and front final-drive transmission systems, manufactured by Italian firm Graziano. With a speed of operation usually only found in F1-type applications, PPG’s sequential system optimizes the shift phase to allow the return of power through the transmission as soon as the dog is pre-engaged.
