Educator Training (Elizabethtown)
The Educator Training program consists of 1000 hours of instruction. Subjects include educational techniques,
curriculum development, use of instructional aids, and classroom management and administration.

Students should have a reasonable expectation of the time it should take to complete a program in order to plan and budget accordingly.
Program lengths for full time and part time schedules are stated in weeks and include estimated days the school is closed for holidays,
teacher training, special events, inclement weather and a limited number of days scheduled to allow students to make up missed hours as
necessary for state licensing purposes.
When calculating and disclosing normal time to complete and On Time Completion Rates, the number of days scheduled to make up
absence is limited to 10% of scheduled hours. For example, if a student is scheduled to attend class 7 hours per day and is enrolled in a 1800
hour program, the number of days scheduled to make up absence would be determined by dividing 180 (10% of the hours in the program)
by 7 (number of hours scheduled per day), or 26 days.
Students are permitted to make up additional absence in order to graduate, as long as they do not exceed the maximum time frame as
described in the school’s satisfactory progress policy, but they would not be counted as graduating within normal time for purposes of the
calculation and disclosure of On Time Completion Rates in Addendum B to the catalog.
